HTC Pico has a 1307 overclockable kernel so can't we have a kernel of that size
Spare me I'd this is a stupid question
Sent from my Wildfire S A510e using Tapatalk 2
We can have a kernel to go to that speeds but it do nothing but fry your processor...........or at the very least reduce its life
Also you battery will run out in like 3 hours

Naaah, if someone managed to make a stable enough kernel for that frequency, our cpu'd probably melt ^^

It doesn't work. I've tried it. Whole phone just locks down once you go past 864mhz.

Its because the HTC pico is armv7

You can if you want to fry our little pretty phone. -_-
BTW I got HTC explorer too. Believe me I don't like it a bit. Except for temple run I hardly use that phone. I didn't even root it lol.
I also have HTC explorer

Hello.
I was just thinking is there any ROMs That are stable with 788 MHz CPU Max speed?
And with working camera too..
Most roms will run at 788, it's if the cpu can take it that's the problem. The phone will freeze or reboot if it can't.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda premium
Just like Scratch said, stability at high CPU frequencies is more dependent on your CPU than it is on your ROM. Because of very very minor variation from processor to processor you might not be able to overclock it fully.
I, for example, can't overclock it to 768MHz without it being unstable, while on 729MHz it runs normally.

I don't think it's a rom problem though, I've used every rom and had them all at 768 without any problems, I don't see the need to oc anymore than 633 now though for what I use the phone for.

I oc to 768 when playing a game or so without having any problems. But really expept that you don't need more than 691. It's too much already.

einstan.frat is banned so he has removed all of his roms and kernels from WFS forums. So i'm uploading his kernels.
All credit goes to einstein.frat
NOTE
All these kernels are for "GingerBread"(GB) and they would NOT work with "ICS" and "JB" roms.
Order of the kernels:
1 Cake kernel v0.9 [OC upto 820 MHz]
2 Dust kernel v8.8 [OC upto 825 MHz]
3 Cake kernel v1.2 [OC upto 806 MHz]
4 Dust kernel v9.0 {OC upto 815 MHz]
5 Cake kernel v1.4 {OC upto 806 MHz]
Thanks m8 I've been waiting for some cake

don't know why he decreased the max value.
which of these kernels is the best performance wise?
I think dust kernel is best performance wise but I don't use it because my phone doesn't get into deep sleep with this kernel due to which battery drain quickly.
I use cake 1.2 it is good for both battery and performance.
Performance-wise, definitely Dust. But Cake is a lot more stable, and battery-efficient.
HTC Wildfire S.
HTC Trophy.
Samsung Focus.
Personally, I'd say cake 0.9. Having tried all of them

Also, on the S-OFF thread, he posted some nasty things. I replied back to him in defence of the campaign. I then reported him. The mod dealt with the situation, deleted our posts, and then put a warning on his account. That's why the mods didn't warn him and banned him

because he is a benchmark freak, and wants to see how its device is performing for one time, nothing wrong with that, if its his choice, let it.

Have a look in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647993
Theres only a 1 in 3 chance it will work (different variations of the tegra 3) even then its not recommended.
The One X reaches it's thermal limits quite easily, this is why it is not a good idea.
Essentially the Tegra 3 is already at its limits in the One X.

Sense 3.5 EQDKP Einstein.frat.
Dust kernel.

Need a serious suggestion about the best rom in term of Battery life.
I've tried various roms such as minicm9, cm7.2, kwbr, Normal cm9, ligux cm9 and parandroid but still can't figure out which has less battery drainage.
I really like ligux coz its smooth and fast but it's battery doesn't even lasts a day. What should i do ?
Or any script which can help?

Doesnt the battery life depend upon the kernel? I mean there is no need to flash a new rom you can just flash a new kernel
