[DEV] Sense 3.5 , with Android 4.0.1 rdy to port

Like in title , RCMix guys released a 4.0.1 rom with sense 3.5 , looks like a runnymede rom
hf with porting devs !

Impressive work from the RCMix folk! And even more impressive is HTC working on ICS this early on in the game..

Hmm..this is very interesting..Can someone pull it to dropbox and share it with me? I'm interested in seeing if it can be ported, but can do it only in middle of Feb..

Ok...nice to see android 4 with sense 3.5 ..but...sense 3.5 with gb runs not good on our desire (think about multitask etc) so i dont think one version higher with no source can be run good...
Anyway...thx for pointing this out..howdid...really really nice...but i dont see this rom on desire...it cant handle this..i bought my desire with sense 1.0 and android eclair...and i think we have done good work...sense 2.1 and max sense 3.0 with android gb...but sense 3.5 with android 4...i dont know...

The OP has not violated rules by posting this in dev section. Whether this can be ported or not will be seen in the long run..

I thought sense 3.5 was supposed to have been optimized more for lower spec like bliss...?

Yes you are right Alex, but what about HTC Explorer??
With less memory and less CPU runs Sense 3.5

Would be more interesting than a sensation port...i think...anyone got a link to such a rom..maybe its not so ram intensive

One would simply (it's not so simple ) have to resize each and every m10 to our resolution. More important are lib files..
Even the CPU would be having different drivers..Some amount of kernel modification too would be required..Anyway, we already have Sense 3.5..It's Android 4.0 with Sense that's exceptional in this Sensation release

Right..but maybe this is better than port from sensation as this device can handle sense 3.5 with less ram ..etc

It could be..Or we could make a hybrid of the Sensation Rom + some resource heavy files from this one.. I've got some exams this month and the next..Plus my Desire's been put up on Ebay for sale Otherwise I'd have liked to explore this =)

All these kernels are for "GingerBread"(GB) and they would NOT work with "ICS" and "JB" roms.

which of these kernels is the best performance wise?

I think dust kernel is best performance wise but I don't use it because my phone doesn't get into deep sleep with this kernel due to which battery drain quickly.
I use cake 1.2 it is good for both battery and performance.

Performance-wise, definitely Dust. But Cake is a lot more stable, and battery-efficient.

Personally, I'd say cake 0.9. Having tried all of them

Also, on the S-OFF thread, he posted some nasty things. I replied back to him in defence of the campaign. I then reported him. The mod dealt with the situation, deleted our posts, and then put a warning on his account. That's why the mods didn't warn him and banned him

Hey there. I'm using Cyanogenmod 7.2 unofficial with eoghan speed kernel. Stable and without any problems.

V.0.2 bad battery life jus upto 6hrs but vry smooth abt memory aft moving dalvik cache I got 126mb now
Aft using 40 apps still have 45mb left
With stock kernal it lags always i flashed dust kernal now much smoother & faster

I cannot decide which rom to use, and have not for a few months now...I wish there was a proper list of roms with ratings and links with comments....like a top ten kind of thing, that would make choice easier...

im using Unofficial Cyanogenmod 7.2 so far so good, Still getting rubbish battery life, i get about 7hours out of it with moderate use (used to get a full day on the original stock 2.3.3 rom)

I'm currently using Henry_01's HC MIUI 3.2 ROM.

Wildchild 2.0 wich i can recommand to anybody else!!, long battery live, good looks, and the best support of the DEV!

We can have a kernel to go to that speeds but it do nothing but fry your processor...........or at the very least reduce its life

Totally agree, also that phone is probably undervolted (i could be wrong), something i haven't seen on our device.

Naaah, if someone managed to make a stable enough kernel for that frequency, our cpu'd probably melt ^^

Are you using GB or ICS on your Wildfire S?

Just out of interest really. I'm using GB. Tried some ICS ROM's and they didn't cut it for me. I find GB to be far better than ICS on this device, because it just works with very little hassle at all. By the time ICS is fully-working on the Wildfire S, Android will be beyond Jelly Bean, probably into version 5 or 6. So seems kinda pointless. But that's my opinion.
Anyway, which do you guys prefer to run on your WFS? Poll included, but also feel free to comment below.

I'm still on GB.I use camera a lot, and it's not working as it should on ICS.Once it's fixed, I will use ICS.

GB, until ICS is bug-free.
