How much for an epic touch 4g? - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

So i've moved on to the galaxy s3 on att and have no use for this phone anymore. It's in pretty good condition. How much can i expect to get from this thing. I want to put it on craigslist but there prices are all over the place.
I put it on there for 350 but no responses. What would be a fair price? I don't want to go too low.
Also I'm not trying to sell it on here, I'm not sure but i would assume thats against forum rules. If it's believed to be against the rules please delete my post or request i change it before banning me or anything.

Well Sprint will only give you $105 on a buyback and that's if the phone is in pristine condition. I'd definitely lower it to around $200-250 (the going prices I've seen so far). Also, check gazelle.com sometimes their price offering is way better than Sprint.
XDA has a marketplace for buying, selling & trading. Check it out, you can also get a better idea of what others are selling their E4GT for.

If I ever get rid of mine I'll be donating it to a developer. $105 & $98 are almost insulting for this phone. lol

Could be worse, $5 for a moto droid
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2

from my observation youll only get 250 if u have a bunch of accessories (cases, extra chargers, etc.) not to mention a pristine phone. 200 is def closer to average.
my 2cents, this phone is nice enough to hang onto IMO just as another device to screw around. but i do like my toys. i suppose if ur gonna sell it now is the last shot to get 200, it will prob drop to 150 within the next 2 months.
also always nice to have a backup phone.

just a tip, open ebay app, search "epic 4g touch", click the refine button, choose "cell phones and smart phones" category, on the same page tick the box that says "sold items only", press done, what you now see is the range of amounts epic 4g touches have been selling for recently...

Just traded my evo 3d straight-up for one of these and am very impressed. I plan on giving it to a family member and taking an evo4g in trade. I will be hunting for another epic touch to replace it....great phone. They go for under 200 in my area.

Two great phones. The OG EVO still ranks as one of my favorites edged out only by the E4GT.
My son passed his E4GT to his dad in exchange for me giving him my OG EVO. He just likes the weight and feel of it. I think the E4GT almost felt too light and he was always worried he'd drop it while using it. lol He'll come back around at some point but it's great to see my EVO getting more use.

I've been seeing them go for 200-250 in the marketplace, price has really dropped on them since the release of the GS3.

Just a heads-up to XDAers with E4GTs for sale:
I'm about to test and see if the MVNO KDDI Mobile will allow Sprint phones to be allowed on their network - if it does there will probably be several in my office interested in buying phones. But I caveat that with this: It would be mainly for work purposes so they're probably only going to want 100, maybe 150 if they are interested.
Will post an update soon - but honestly I don't see how they won't let it if the ESN is clean and I factory reset to allow hands-free activation.

I sold mine on swappa.com for 300 about a month ago.

DINC2 29.99 upgrade at Costco

Starting today, Costco has the DINC2 for 29.99 for upgrades. Bay area, California. Tempting, but with how 'locked' down this phone is from what I can gather, maybe not worth it...
my Dinc2 is S-OFF and rooted. The ability to do this came out very recently

i can't post the link cause im a newb to the forum, but just search google or slickdeals for the costco july coupon book, it says 70 bucks off, although i dont know how this correlates to the phone. i think when you go into the store, its just the 29.99, its like the coupon is already applied. i would suggest calling ahead to make sure they have some. costco is nice because they give you a free car charger and case with purchase. never knew to look at target, seems like a good deal too, looks like they give a 50 dollar gift card?

Offered a 4 day old Nexus for £300

As the thread states my friend just got a Nexus on contract and is using it to pay off his O2 contract as he already has a sim free iPhone 4S.
I can sell my GS2 for around £200-230 so just need to pay the difference to get it up to £300
Played around with it a tiny bit and it looks ok but not really sold on it however I do love the pure google experience (previous nexus one owner)
Good deal or not?
Yeah! Honestly, I got this phone yesterday and you will NOT be disappointed. The screen, the smoothness of ICS, it's just a freaking monster man. And You're only going to be paying around £70-£100 for the phone so you can't go wrong!
Edit: Just read you already own a GS2. I would not be so sure then, it depends on how desperate you are to get ICS, because once that hits the GS2 the only thing that will be to the Nexus' advantage is the screen and dev support, which is more than enough for me to go for the Nexus lol.
Decisions decisions....
Get it! and sell it me small profit for yourself
It's really a beast! Some of my favorite things are the screen, led, and the software buttons they are geinus!
Honestly, if I were you, I would wait until next year Q2 2012 when it is rumoured that quad core phones that are coming out. I'm pretty sure there are already ICS roms for the Galaxy S2 and you're getting it next year anyway from Samsung. However, I haven't had any experience with the Nexus so I can only tell you from what I think, I haven't actually compared the fluidity and smoothness of both phones.
keep your gs2 and wait.for.ice.

I sold my GS2 for the Nexus and haven't looked back. It's just a better overall device and probably one of the coolest gadgets I've owned.

£300 is not a great deal considering a brand new one sells for around £428.79. If you do not like it, you should be able to sell it for more than £300.

nice signature. lol.
It kind of depends. Since you already have a GS2 it's not really an upgrade but a lateral move from one phone to the next. The GN2 will definitely outlive the GS2 as far as official updates and dev support is concerned, but the GS2 already has plenty dev support right now and will likely have it for as long as you own/use the phone. The screen on the GN is way better, the processor is just as good, the GPU and camera on the GS2 are the only real advantages so it pretty much evens out in my book. It really is going to come down to personal preference. The reason I jumped to the nexus line was because I was a Vibrant owner and never saw a froyo update on my phone while Samsung promised and promised. The dev community and custom gone were the only things keeping me happy with my phone. About a week after the Nexus S was released I walked into a Best Buy and put my phone running a custom froyo rom with an overclocked processor up against a bone stock display model and the display model Nexus won every battle. I bought the phone a few days later and haven't looked back since. Now there are a few caveats to the story, one being that I had a variant of the GS and that Samsung had indeed finished the froyo update about two months before the release of the Nexus S (just not for the American variants) but at the end of the day, the Nexus S is going to receive an official update of ICS and the GS isn't despite them having nearly all the same hardware components. The devs are still there and they will give the phone a proper update but it would be easier with an official kernel to play with. Just my thoughts. Personally I'd go with the GN unless you plan on playing multiple high end games that require you to have a better GPU.

The stock google experience is swaying it for me right now and it looks like I will have to pay a minimum of £80 to £100 + selling my GS2.
Will see my mate on Thursday and take it from there and will let everyone know if I suddenly become a GN owner

Actually its a very very good deal. Its 429 + vat which is more like £520. Also considering its from his friend and not some random stranger he can be pretty sure there's not some weird fault with it or something dodgy. Its pretty close to having a brand new phone with £220 off
Personally for around £100 I would probably upgrade. I agree with other posts its more of a lateral move, but the SGS2 is soooo common now, especially in the UK, and its coming up to a year old soon. The Galaxy Nexus will stay 'new' for a while. Also remember the GN resolution is the native resolution for ICS and what it was designed for. Although other phones with lower resolutions will also get ICS i'm sure there'll be some compromises somewhere.
Anyway its all opinion, but for me i'm slightly for the GN. BTW I upgraded from a N1 to a Galaxy Nexus, and my only experience of a SGS2 is 5 minutes with my friends one at the pub.
Interesting as o2 would let me pay off my remaining 2 months of my contract so i could get the galaxy nexus earlier.
They told me they do not allow this anymore and for that they have lost a customer, they never even tried to do me a deal.
I pay £41 a month for unlimited everything on my new contract which would mean i will pay £984 over the 24 month contract.
Hes going to be well out of pocket once he pays off his contract is o2 let him.
Text my mate to say I am going for the GN so now it's just down to when I go and get some cash for my phone and when I get to see him next.
Good timing as well as he was considering selling it tomorrow!
I bought a galaxy nexus and returned to my s2...
Only the screen is better on this phone and the new os, everything else isnt worth spendig money on it...

It's costing my friend around £200 to pay off O2 and he managed to get the GN for FREE on 12 months at vodafone so he will actually make around £100 from this and will also be on a 12 month agreement not 18-24 months.
On o2 he pays £37-38 a month and Vodafone will be £41 a month so makes sense really for him to sell it and for me to buy it lol

Help selling on ebay!

I'm debating putting my nexus up for sale on ebay and could use some advice...
What should I start off the bidding at? will be selling it with standard and extended battery.
Should I leave it rooted or return to stock?
Any idea roughly what I may end up getting for it?
Should I bother taking pics of the phone or just use a standard pic of the phone?
Will I have any problems trying to sell the phone with no history of selling items?
99p starting bid, it's free. Keep it rooted, put a 1.4 GHz kernel in it title it 'Galaxy Nexus, Rooted, overclocked 1.4 GHz with custom recovery'.
People will go mental for it. I've just sold my Desire for £150 because it's overclocked to 1.2 GHz.
Forgot to mention it is the verizon phone... Do I list it as Verizon or CDMA?
I don't know much about Verizon and CDMA, but I suppose if it's important you should mention it. I don't know how you transfer numbers with a CDMA phone.
Don't forget to mention you can relock the bootloader and easily flash a stock ROM if someone is worried about the warranty.

I'd say you should list it as "Verizon (CDMA/LTE)". The Verizon part is important as the at least the CDMA part of it will be locked to Verizon

I usually start bids off at 99 cents. As already mentioned, you can list it as rooted, but offer to return to factory state if the buyer requests. You should get close to what you paid if the phone is in mint condition. Always take pictures so the buyer knows exactly what they're getting (I take 3-4, showing the condition of the phone and accessories included). You won't have problems selling, every seller had 0 feedback at one point. Good luck

i agree 500- 600 easy and if you write your username on a pice of paper and photograph the phone on top of the paper, that helps persuade users that you are actually in possession of said product.
what to be careful of is users paying for it with zero feedback using a stolen CC

If it comes to that do I have the option not to sell to that person without a penalty?
Will it make a difference money wise if I list the phone as rooted or stock?
Just sell it rooted, you'll get more for it. Some folk haven't a clue about how to root a phone and will pay a premium for it. Trust me, I sell all my phones overclocked and rooted and I always do well.
Wow, very interesting, I thought selling rooted wouldnt be a good idea cause people may think they lost their warranty without a way back.
Like I said in post #4 just explain how easy it is to relock and flash the stock ROM using mskip's rooting method. Just word it intelligibly and people will be all over it.
Selling previous phones are always the way I get new ones.
I pretty much agree with above. List at least three different pictures (one of the front, back and a good angle showing everything you're listing such as the box and cables). Mention in the listing that they should contact you with any questions or if they want to see more pictures. Also make sure to mention something along the lines of "Anyone with zero feedback/International bidders email me first before bidding or I may remove your bid." in bold. This way those who are in those situations but serious about the item will contact you first. Then you just have to keep track of who bids. Removing a bid once usually keeps a joker from bidding again. And I wouldn't worry about price and what removing a bid might do. Right now this is rated as the best android phone out there (by reviewers, anyways). It'll still sell for $500 -$600 no matter what

AT&T i777 Tradein Value

I just left my local store with my new GS3! I wanted to pass on to everyone that the tradein value that I received on my GS2 (i-777) was exactly $121, which brought the grand total of the GS3 to $89.
While I understand that I could have sold my GS2 online for more, I really didn't want to go through the hassle.

You just threw away about $150 by not taking 5 minutes of your time to sell it on ebay. Is your time that valuable (you make $1,800/hour)?
The AVERAGE buy-it-now selling price on ebay for a used AT&T S2 is currently $263, and you could've got a bit more by throwing in your old accessories.

I have no experience selling phones, what's the best way to do this? Any advice would be great. my phone is under contract. is there issues i need to know about?

My best advice would be to shop around.. EBay and Craig's list would b good places to get a idea of a fair price.. EBay auctions definately because the buyers set the price.. Just b sure to shop around and don't stop on 1 price.. Good luck to u..

I'm hoping not to start a flame war here...let me start by saying I do not hate my Note 2. I think it's a great phone.
The thing is, i haven't really used my stylus in any real sense, and it was really the main reason I got the device...also the multi-window. I only use multi-window while driving to watch a movie, while keeping a tiny segment of google maps on screen. This is really not something I should be doing anyway
thirdly...htc one.
anyway, my phone is well preserved, no scratches, and always had a case and screen protector since day one. how much should I be able to sell this device? I have no experience selling phones, what's the best way to do this? Any advice would be great. my phone is under contract. is there issues i need to know about?

Your best option if your not familiar in selling is to use swappa.com. It's a great way to sell your phone. No eBay fees and only charge is the $10 you pay after selling phone. Just remember to calculate shipping costs on your asking price. And don't sell yourself short if your phone really is in good condition. Just look at previous sold phones and what they sold for and base it on that.
Other option is Craigslist. Only problem with this is you'll get lots of spam emails and hagglers trying to get a great phone at a cheap price. But if you somehow find someone that is worth it you keep all the profit. Just make sure you sell in a public place and take a counterfeit money pen to make sure your not being duped. Best thing is to meet at a Sprint store.
Good luck. If you have any questions feel free to message me. I do this all the time. Have sold my last 2 phones on swappa and a couple on Craigslist.

Swappa is becoming the best place to sell your phone since they only charge 1 fee. The only other fee you pay is with PayPal once you get paid. You must use PayPal. They also only sell phones that are in working condition and with clean esn. So far more and more people shop and sell on swappa. You can even link your phone sale on Twitter and Facebook. Just go on there and look at info they give you before you sell. It's easy and if your price seems high you can compare it to other phones and see how much they sold for. You can even lower the price anytime you want, or raise it.

I just checked local Craigslist, cheapest I've seen for a Sprint Note-2 is $400, seen one that was flashed to Cricket for $349. Most are 400 and up.
Thanks guys. Very helpful

All my phones have been sold through eBay. Even after the fees and PayPal fees, I feel that's where I pocket the most money after the sale. That also include shipping.
HAHA. MultiView - watching movies with GPS on the other screen.
Not to hijack the thread @THE op.. But you can sell a phone that's under contract right and avoid fees with a phone not being on the line by just getting a cheap phone to put on it until you sell the main phone right?

went mildly crazy and decided to buy the HTC One.
anyone interested?
Comes with 2 iSmooth screen protectors (the 3rd is installed...semi-perfectly, with a lint trapped in the upper left side, away from the screen) + sprint body glove case + all accessories, and original box.
looking for whatever the lowest in price in swappa. shipping included. this is the titanium version.
Caveat though, I can't ship it until I receive my new phone.
They go on Craigslist for $500 id sell mine for 450 in pristine condition. Thinking about the LG Optimus bro I cannot go back to something smaller
