So I can connect bluetooth to my laptop to a degree, in fact it worked just fine at first, then it stopped working and there's a yellow triangle on my device under windows devices, and when I do trouble shoot it says basically bluetooth peripherals not installed. I've read about going into device manager and installed all the yellow triangle bluetooth peripherals but not all of them are compatible with my phone. And now the samsung bluetooth peripheral isn't even there! I tried looking in HP drivers for anything bluetooth and currently downloading and installing everything I can, but the fact it specifically said peripheral makes me think it's something else I need to download, I just have no clue! I'm really baffled here, so if anyone has had a similar problem and figured it out please offer me some assistance. Thank you in advance.

I attempted to send you a pm but it does not seem to work for me. I went to a site called blog dot joelvincent dot com. Try searching on there for "Solved bluetooth peripheral device driver." this works for windows vista and 7. I found if you follow the 7 steps it will work completely. just remember to download Windows Mobile Device Center. He uses the drivers for that program to fix the issues with the phone.
If need more help I'd be happy to type out the entire procedure. Let me know.
I followed the link and turns out micosofts page to download the windows 7 one is down.... only vista up... makes one go hmmmm but at least I know what to google for, thanks a lot. I'll report back if I finally get it to work

As the title suggests I cannot install the Samsung MTP Windows 7 update. I also get a message stating that the driver for the Nexus did not install correctly. Obviously, this means that I cannot see the phone as a device within My Computer and therefore I cannot transfer files on to the phone.
I only install Windows 7 about 6 weeks ago so I doubt the Windows install is corrupted.
Other than this slight issue I have to say that I LOVE this phone.
Any help much appreciated!
Error details below:
Windows error code 800F020B
Samsung Electronis Co., Ltd - Other hardware - SAMSUNG Mobile MTP Device
Status: Failed

I thought this was the right forum for this question as it is a Galaxy Nexus?!
Remove all the samsung USB driver's and regulair drivers you allready have installed.
than update your windows 7 to latest update.
reboot.
and try again.
let us know if that helped.

Thanks for posting this information. IMO, leaving the device plugged in is counterintuitive when updating that but it does resolve the problem.
What I'd suggest is as mentioned before, through control remove any and all drivers you have installed and then try the universal drivers 0.7 in the Dev section. I can confirm they work a treat on windows 7. One sec and I'll get a link for you
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1379875
So when you plug your phone in windows may try and auto install the drivers, can cell windows for doing anything and then manually direct it to look for where ever you put the universal one. This will work in both adb mode (phone on) and fast boot mode and will also work using a tool kit.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
Thank you!

I was searching the web and joined this forum simply to say thank you for this information. I do not have a Samsung Nexus, but a Galaxy Reverb and the suggestion you gave worked perfectly on mine as well.
Hello Everyone
I'm here asking for advice.
I have searched all the forums for a similar problem to mine and not come across anything that either seemed to be the same issue or was something I understood to be.
I am no tech head by my own admission and do have to look up a lot of terms on here so please be patient with me!
I have a HTC Desire HD. I recently rooted the phone using the Advanced Ace Hack Kit downloaded form this forum which also turned the SD card into a gold card and installed clockwork mod.
I also installed the ROM "virtuous_quattro_alpha3_pyramid". This whole process worked fine and the phone rooted.
I then tried to install "update-LC-ICS-1.0.beta4-DesireHD-signed" as I was trying to get a version of the Ice Cream Sandwich ROM that was not then available for my phone from my operator Orange.
This is where things went wrong. The installation failed - I saved the zip to the SD card, accessed the bootloader menu and instructed the phone to flash the new ROM but midway through the phone froze.
Now I cannot even access the bootloader menu - if I press vol down and power all that happens is I get a white screen with HTC on it in green, this will stay indefinitely if plugged in to the charger or until the battery runs out of juice.
At a loss and not finding any advice that I understood to help I have tried running AAHK again but when I run it in the command window an error message is shown giving me 3 possible reasons- check the adb connectivity, the phone is not plugged in or the driver is not installed or USB debugging is not enabled.
As I cannot seem to access the phone I'm worried that I have bricked it so I'm turning to the wizards of technology on here for help!
Is there anything that I can do?
As I said please be gentle in your explanations otherwise I will be looking up every other word!
Many thanks,
Anychance you can flash a RUU for the stock rom and start over?

Apologies on the double post - I wasn't aware that I had done so. An accident on my behalf. Thank you for pointing out the error.
I would love to try your suggestion but as I explained in my initial post I am unfamiliar with a lot of the terminology used here, are you suggesting I reset the phone to the software installed by the service provider, in my case Orange?
If so I have tried a factory reset twice now and it failed on both attempts. The process seems to start but then stalls and nothing happens. If i remove the battery and switch the phone back on I seem to be back to where I started from.
Thank you for the advice however.
No Cap,
An RUU is a image. You can try and download the stock image for your provider i.e Orange. from http://www.filefactory.com/file/c0a...140f_26.05.05.27_M3_release_170856_signed.exe
There should be a few posts in the forum here providing links to Official RUU's which should include Orange RUU's.
Here is also a link to a HTC tech support page providing info on errors during RUU flashing.
http://www.htc.com/us/content/docum...roubleshootingandErrorRecoverySprintTP2MR.pdf
If you have ever flashed an update to your pc/laptops BIOS. You would probable go to xyz.com and click on the latest bios update package.
once that was downloaded in exe format you would run that and it would take care of the rest.
This is pretty much the same it is the whole Flash update package.

Try this first,...
Try installing CWM Touch from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1474490
You did mention AAHK and that was a success, seems like you should already be having S-Off so this should be possible.
Try running the ADB commands.

Can i root my Galaxy Nexus GSM without connecting it to a PC?
My micro-usb connection on the phone is broke ...
I'm using android 4.2.1, since I restored it I don't have mobile data connection, In the settings I see it receives HDSPA+ but it won't connect, never had this issue before restoring it. So now I wanna try a custom rom.
My USB is also broken and I want to Root!
I have the same problem with my phone: USB port is broken (will not connect to PC, only charges). And, I want to root my device, preferably with CyanogenMod. I've been all over the internet looking for a solution, but haven't quite came up with the answer that I need. Framaroot isn't compatible with Galaxy Nexus, apparently. Can someone help guide me through this? Thanks!

So I just wanted to post this because after about a year of having a "bad USB" port, I decided maybe I'd try to clean the port. I stuck a toothpick in there and cleaned out all of this pocket lint and other crap in there: low and behold, my device is now connecting!!!!!! After all of this time, I Just needed to clean the port!!!
Hey guys,
I have a LG G4c H525N which I tried to root. Unfortunately, when I try to start it up now it says:
Boot verification Failed
-cause MISMATCH_SIG_LEN
I read about flashing the KDZ using LG Flash Tool, which I tried doing. Phone enters download mode and all but my PC doesn't recognise the phone.
It doesn't show up in my computer so I can't take the KDZ file.. I tried it on multiple PC's and it doesn't seem to work anywhere. I am using the original cable. I think I have the most recent drivers too.
I hope someone has a solution.
Cheers.

If u r on mm you cant downgrade u have to flash what ever firmware u were on there is a anti rollback on mm. I cant find ure thread but google restoring your model kdz method. Should givebu the link to dl it. Kdzs and tots are a restore package that have been pulled from a phone u dont havento pull it from yours. Like i said im only familar with tot method which also uses flash tool. I guess from what i read lgup doesnt support ure model. Im trying to find ure kdz link but i need whatbfirmware unwas on orig just in case of antirollback. If u flash thebwrong one with anti rollback u could hardbrick.

Yes, I am having the exact same issue. Have spent a long time searching to see if there's a solution but your post is the first time I have seen that proves it's not just me!
I am guessing it is most likely to be a software conflict but I just cannot figure out what might be clashing. I don't think I have anything unusual running. Hardware wise my laptop definitely meets the specs required. What laptop are you using? Mine is an HP Spectre x360 - 15-bl050na
If you do find a solution please post it here (I will do the same of course)

The laptop (Lenovo X1 Carbon) installation always hangs at 16%.
But I have a S10+ and the Samsung drivers are already installed; using Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.
Hope you have some suggestion.
Thanks
Solved; in case you have the issue, prior installing enter the task manager and force close task named msiexec.exe.
That worked for me
