Rebel Rom, pes12 and temple run running smooth on my sgw.

Which rom is it?
Sent from Trololo County

I been using RebelRom for a while now and there is a little lag but it normally runs better than the other GB roms, not sure about CM9 really because I kinda want to have my camera working plus I keep getting a big battery drain with it.

You can try Black notes Hybrid 2nd with stock kernel xxlm8, if you don't mid with battery life try Bionic Cow, you can also flash XXLM8 on Bionic cow but you will lose Cow panel options, because they only work for cow kernel.
You can also try RebelROM 3.0.6 Milestone.
Edit: You can apply last v6 supercharger script, v6 supercharger update9 rc9, Super UL, bulletprof, nitro lag, etc, you will notice much better gaming performance with this. If you have multi tasking problems with Super UL you can try Balanced.
Sry for bad english.

I think any ROM using kernel xxlm8 is good for gaming :fingers-crossed:

Actually the XXLM8 kernel helps make gaming better but I think it also depends on the ROM as well cause if you try running a game like Temple Run on the stock ROM even with the XXLM8 kernel it does kinda lag while on a ROM like the RebelRom or the Bionic Cow Rom it has little to no noticeable lag.

I tried using Mutant rom and even with the XXLM8 kernel it was smooth but it made Widgetlocker seem a little glitchy. I never used Cow kernel before so I wouldn't know if it was better or not but I did find XXLM8 to be good to use.

Bionic cow + xxlm8 is the best combination for performance. I got about 4800 score with Antutu benchmark, and using balanced settings on v6 supercharger, if I use Super UL I think I can reach 4900-5000 score.

Changing CPU settings for better battery life.

I am hearing a lot about cpu adjustment, over clocking and script stuff for some extended battery life. I searched a lot but couldnt find any nice guide on this. I am running Juggernaut 5.0 with darkside mainline karnel . I am getting 8 hours of battery life. Want some more; since i am heavy user
Please help me on that.

try beast mod, its awesome for battery life.
I'm running Slickmod 2.4 with Gideon's UV script (no setcpu or anything involved) and I'm PRETTY sure I'm getting better battery life than I ever did on Juggs 5.0, maybe try that?
Undervolting/underclocking is what you need to maximize battery life. With that said, I get 20+ hours running Warfare rom/kernel.

I tried synergy kernel with juggs latest and the animations get pretty jittery along with constant homescreen roughness while scrolling. It's not slow, but not smooth. Was wondering what the best ROM/kernel combo is that's buttery smooth with the best battery life.
I'm using adw ex if that makes a difference? Tried with touchwiz and was the same.

Smoothest JB rom?

Hi!
I wonder which JB rom i should choose if i prefer smoothness before functions?
There are only twofunctions that i really want. First of all a T9 dialer is a requirement, I also want to change the Navbar hight so that the buttons get smaller.
Wich rom should i choose?
Thank you in advance!
Mincos was very smooth while I was using it but I found that the battery life wasn't that good. This was on v3 but test yourself

Stock. I'm all about battery life, stock + trinity is not bad in terms of smoothness. I'm still testing the battery life but so far it seems aokp + trinity is better.

Yes.
Like I always say, just go with stock if you want smoothest ROM. If you want more customization and such, that's where custom ROMs come in.
I also found that all the kernels that I've used (Stock, Air, Franco, Trinity, Popcorn) has about same battery life with some tweaks, such as undervolting, underclocking and such.

I love the extra options a custom kernel 'unlocks' though. As for the battery life, so far I haven't seen much (if any) difference between franco's kernel and stock.
Use AOKP build 1 with milestone 5 as my kernel, and i might say it flows like well butter. Tried Android Revolution Hd and AndroidMe Cm10 and found AOKP the best.

Rasbean Jelly ROM with Trinity Kernel. Best combo ever if you are using a GSM version.

Both CM10 and AOKP feel the same to me. It's the kernel that makes the big performance differences.
As far as ROMs I like AOKP for the UI features and Franco works well for performance and battery.
Stock for battery and smoothness
i'm currently testing ARHD+FauxKernel so far so good =]

Same question as "what ROM are you using". No one can tell you what is best for you. You have to try them and see. They are all good.

Wicked v3 IMO; Can't say it's "THE" best rom out there but it's really great as a daily and very stable as well.
I am running xquizit v50... It's based of the uvalh2 unlike most other roms based off the older uvalg1..
And it's buttery smooth

Currently I am running Wicked v3 with trinity A46
I get very good battery life (the best I've seen since I've got this device) and have no issues with anything.
I tried jellybro, crimson, xquizit, freegs3, and will be sticking with wicked for the time being.
I am also on wicked, though if the rumors are correct, I will be on stock jb as soon as it drops. Wicked has been good for me.

Best ROM ever for S3 is FoxHound. It is very complex, stable, fast, lots of twiks, great battery life, lots of customization from the stock to the newest features, no wonder it has 850Mb. During the installation you have lots of choices to make with everything you like from choosing the kernel up to the themes. Do not loose time by installing and uninstalling all Roms possible. I also liked ParanoidAndroid or the new Aosp from it. But nothing compares with FoxHound. It's worthy to pay the guy for it. Good luck http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1708371

My phone is fast and snappy, I was just curious about the benchmarks because it gives numbers to compare the phones by. Im very happy with the way mine works but if someone else's is working a lil better and I can see that on a bar graph like with the benchmark it lets me see which roms run better but I love jellybomb so I probably won't switch anyway lol I guess the short answer is just to satisfy my curiosity and just for comparisons sake

Gotcha.. That's understandable.. I was hoping my question didn't see rude lol.. The was the last way I'd hope someone to take it... But I assume better benchmark scores will come about when the kernel for our phones can go past 1.8..which there's a issues with that due to the voltage past 1.8..It's more to it but I haven't followed the issue since 1.8 is good enough for me lol

N7100 running AssasinROM V6.0, SaberKernel 25.0, CPU at 1.92GHz, GPU at 800MHz. Running just a bit warmer than usual while benchmarking.
I got this with the Perseus Kernel running on Whompasaurus Rom. I have my CPU overclocked to 1.8 GHz and my GPU to 720 MHz. Runs great, and since the CPU isn't always running full speed, the battery life is great.

Well I've been rooted and overclocked since the day I got this device. Using perseus back then so I don't know how good battery life can really get. With Saber I'm overclocked to 1.92ghz but I am also hotpluging with Pegasusq so that I have all 4 cores running simultaneously together at max cpu. Gpu is maxed out too. I bought 3 extra batteries and a wall charger on amazon so juice is never an issue.

Yeah if you really wanted it to hotpluging is the way to go and Pegasusq is the best governor for that. Has the most options of them all. I love Perseus kernel and it really is great but I love the extra speed with Saber. It flys! And that's putting it lightly lol!

If you want official release for our wonder you must have to wait until delta-roh update the Turbo Boost script, because i have been requested to the dev to make Turbo Boost available for us. Just wait. But if you want to try it now you can download the script and extract. Choose the value that you want, and add to init.d, set permission to 755. Reboot. Before that make sure your rom have init.d support, if not it will be useless

the most tough game i played on my wonder was Asphalt 7

Tweak : Build.prop tweak from K_TECH | Seeder v7 | Greenified
I also deleted many app from system/app and change the launcher to zeam launcher, enabled KSM , disable dithering, and enable 16 bit transparency
