Stock rom with tweaks and good battery life.

My vote goes to the GS3

Same question as "what ROM are you using". No one can tell you what is best for you. You have to try them and see. They are all good.
These threads are frowned upon because everyone uses their phone differently.

Wicked v3 IMO; Can't say it's "THE" best rom out there but it's really great as a daily and very stable as well.

I am running xquizit v50... It's based of the uvalh2 unlike most other roms based off the older uvalg1..
And it's buttery smooth

Currently I am running Wicked v3 with trinity A46
I get very good battery life (the best I've seen since I've got this device) and have no issues with anything.
I tried jellybro, crimson, xquizit, freegs3, and will be sticking with wicked for the time being.

I am also on wicked, though if the rumors are correct, I will be on stock jb as soon as it drops. Wicked has been good for me.

I'm on free gs3 r6 with trinity 50a. Seems to be running really well, I might have to try out wicked rom since the guy who works on gs3 left.

you will love this
this will not bricked your device, the only thing it missing is wifi calling, which i say F that, i dont need it

Whats the md5sum for the Trinity versions you guys are using?
I'm currently on the kernel that came with v3(Faux?) and i'm considering switching to Trinity since i've hard a lot about it's battery life.

I am running just a stock deodexed rom, with the sammy kernel. Underclocked to 1.2ghz and undervolted on every frequency by 100mv.
With the lowest clockspeed set to 96mhz

Best ROM ever for S3 is FoxHound. It is very complex, stable, fast, lots of twiks, great battery life, lots of customization from the stock to the newest features, no wonder it has 850Mb. During the installation you have lots of choices to make with everything you like from choosing the kernel up to the themes. Do not loose time by installing and uninstalling all Roms possible. I also liked ParanoidAndroid or the new Aosp from it. But nothing compares with FoxHound. It's worthy to pay the guy for it. Good luck http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1708371

I got a buddy with an epic touch. He wants ics really bad. I own a tmo gs2 (I know I know :-/) I was wondering which of the ics roms you fine folks have flashed is most "fully functional" and good enough as a stable daily driver. My thanks in advance.

He could start with FE07 leak. It's ICS with TW and its pretty stable compared to some of the earlier leaks. It's an easy flash, too, thanks to sfhub's odin. You can find it in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1642564
That is a hard question to answer as everyone has a favorite for different reasons. They are all pretty stable. Calkulins E4GT 2 is one of the more stock looking with a few battery saving tweaks. Blend ICS "Goodness" has really nice themed ics look and has very similar tweaks. AOKP Roms are fairly stable abd have built in ROM Control which is very nice. I'm using HyDrA tablet hybrid ROM and its stable, but because of the dpi settings the market sees the phone as a tablet and you have to change your dpi to download regular apps from the market.

There are a number of really amazing ICS ROMs, Anakonda, Venum Ice, Nocturnal Venum, actually anything from Teams Nocturnal and Venum, also anything from Calkulin, agat63 has some really sweet, clean work as well and you can never go wrong with sfhub's one-clicks.
Another vote for fe07 leak then if your friend likes it send them here to figure it out on their own.
FE07 will be your best option for a beginner. Don't go to AOSP until source kernels are released. FE07 will be the most stable. CM9 is very stable too though.
Wow you guys are really far ahead. All we got is skyrocket ports and the tmo ics leak that just dropped lol. Kudos gents.

The reason for this is because of the kernel for ICS not being released from Samsung/Sprint yet. It's pretty simple to do all the regular CWM functionality on an ICS based ROM though - Use Odin (or highly recommended: Mobile Odin from the play store, which doesn't require a PC) and put the el26 CWM kernel on your phone (it's found many places, like the AOKP OP for example). It wont boot up with this kernel so just boot into recovery and from there you can backup, flash themes, wipe things, and then to get back to your ROM simply flash an AOSP tweaked kernel - also readily available (in AOKP OP again).
Certainly a few more steps than we were used to on GB Roms but it's totally worth it to me. ICS is a massively better experience for me so the few hoops to jump through are worth it. When that source kernel hits (any day now) it will be the land of milk and honey.

This is the truth. Read up on the features of each one, try flashing it and if it doesn't fit what you are looking for, try again. At some point you will find one you like or decide to stay stock until something else comes out.

Hi, Im running Rasbean Jelly, available over at euroskank, google it cause i cant post outside links yet
Its for GSM only though. Im using it with Trinity Kernel and having used several other popular JB ROMs, IMO its noticeably the fastest and very stable, has some useful features over stock too! the battery life is as good as stock, again IMO. flash it and see
Actually the battery life is better than stock, i get one and a half, two days out of a full charge, with moderate use. Before Trinity Kernel though i was charging everyday. the kernel really improves the battery life. I'll flash it with every rom from now on although i wont be leaving Rasbean in the near future!
Its all personal preference. I was on Paranoid with trinity kernel and got a full days worth of battery if that helps you out.

Yeah thats very true. I used PA with Franco Kernel on ICS and got similar battery life. used to like features galore like CM9/10, prefer closer to stock now. theres plenty of ROMs to choose from for any preference anyway.
So far Im using MiINCO and cant complain about it. Not many features but its the official suported ROM from Franco (and its kernel). Its an AOSP ROM.
AOSP with the latest binaries for me.

Try every other rom if you're looking for a good combination of battery life, speed, or whatever else you may want from your phone. But, in terms of stability and stability alone, I'd most likely suggest any TW 4.03 roms in the android development forums (notably Darkside.evolution v8 if you can find a link). All of which are known to be incredibly stable
I've tried quite a few now, Honestly I like the basic vanilla roms... Ran CM9 for a few months and now Im running AOKP 6. Found them both extremely stable and simple. Prefer AOKP to be honest

What's your FAVORITE E4GT rom?

Just like the title says, it can be a gb/ics/jb rom, doesn't matter.
What's the rom that keeps you running back?
What's been the most reliable/fastest rom?
For me personally I have to say CM10 because I love JB. Coming in at a close second would be the Blu Kuban.
Aaaaand go....
I really liked Codename JB rom but the battery life wasn't good enough for everyday use. I know I will be back on that rom soon. In the meantime I have been on a vanilla aosp ICS rom for the past few weeks. Longest I have been on anything.

Yeah that's why I don't like the term stock, it's too vague.

I have got be honest. I like every rom I have tried. 3 by ktempleton. Chameleon Os is very nice. My favorite in terms of ui. Gorgeous. But that was also the problem. Ui crashed a lot. Hopefully it gets stable. Dirty unicorns was great but the ui started crashing repeatedly.
Using liquid smooth now. It's very nice. What it has on the other 2 is that it's running stable. I think I would be on Chameleon though if it were stable.
PACman. Even better now with the make it dark toggle and toggleable slim gapps...no more looking for an inverted play store only to have it auto update and go back to white.
Running great with lightning zap kernel and modded comadose tweaks. I did have to push the zap tweaks back top init.d again tho

I really like stock rooted GB27 but battery life is iffy. BUT i really really like Cyanogenmod 10.1 Wild for the Night but battery life sux
Battery life is up to the user, if your battery life isn't good you might wanna look into what apps are keeping your phone awake. DS Battery Saver, Greenify, and other apps can also help you get better battery life.

Liquid JB v2.5
I just flashed Liquid JB v2.5 yesterday and I am never going back to stock. It's perfect for all my needs. Speedy, intuitive, rooted, and gorgeous. Now if only I could figure out what to do with piecontrol...

Yeah. What is it? Why do I want it? What's it good for? Also, the ROM is near perfect save for Bluetooth, but the dev forum is aware and I hope they're on the problem. I don't use bluetooth much anyway, but when I do, it's handy.
