We can remove the nav bar, can we remove the status bar?
Unfortunately I have got screen burn and this is the reason that I want to remove the status bar
Using app such as Notifierpro plus or smart status bar can help us get notification (I am using it with PARANOIDANDROID)
I know it is stupid to remove it...but still wondering if any of you can help me...
Good question !

Never ran that Rom .but if you run Nova launcher its really easy to hide status bar in options . No tweaks needed.

That only hides it on the home screen but that should help if you are getting screen burn

I remember one of the first ROMs i flashed on my nexus was Code Name Android, and it had the option to hide the navigation bar on the lock screen only.
is this something that can easily be implemented into JB? i noticed it was taken off of ROMs because it interfered with incoming calls when the screen was on (wasn't able to answer call) just curious if it was ever fixed or if this is a simple mod that i could do myself with some layout tweaks or something.
anyone have a clue?
I use Widgetlocker - lock screen replacement app, and it has an option to hide the navigation bar. I highly recommend it, very customizable with tons of sliders/themes to choose from and is very light on using system resources and draining battery.

you sure about that? i know it has the option to hide the navigation bar buttons, but the black bar is still there.
i want the wallpaper to go from the notification bar all the way down to the bottom of the screen.

Oh okay. If that's the case then you'll need to go a different route. Widgetlocker just blacks it out.

Here is a screen cap of what it looks like.

Its not quite as bad on the device as it blends into the bottom of the phone but still not using the complete screen.

I currently use Power Toggles on the verizon Galaxy Nexus running JellyBelly 9.1. Is there a way to have the notifications stay on top but not have a notification icon? I used to be on Paranoid Android and it had notification toggles built in without the notification icon. Is there any way I could get that on the JellyBelly rom?

Widgetsoid from the market keeps it on top with the ability hide the icon in the status bar but that place remains empty like if there was something invisible there

Yes that is also an option in Power Toggles but I want to get rid of the empty space completely.
Don't think its possible. In order to display something in the notification shade (like toggles), it has to be tied to a notification icon too.

Is is only possible in custom roms? Because I tried ParanoidAndroid and it had notification toggles on top without any notification icon.
Yup. Custom ROMs only. If it were possible, why would these toggle apps have to have a notification?

Its available in custom roms cause they mod the status bar itself
All these apps do is borrow some space on it

No apps are possible to do that. Google don't let them. Toggles you see on custom ROMs are all built in to the ROM itself, so that's why it doesn't show the notification.

Due to me being new and never posting before, I have to ask the question here. I recently updated my Verizon Galaxy Nexus to the latest Paranoid Android ROM. My navigation bar at the bottom has seemed to disappear and become transparent. Is there a way I can have the navigation bar look like the normal one with a black background?
Turn off navbar transparency in settings.
Man I feel stupid. Thanks!

I am on stock deodexed rom by as i9000.
I have noticed that there is no clock in status bar of lock screen.
I know I can enable it in settings but that will come in normal display.
I don't wanna use custom status bar.
Is there any way I can enable it.

Your post doesn't make sense to me. Is your problem:
- burn in of the soft buttons and/or status bar?
- a dead pixel in the status bar?
- an icon in the status bar which you don't recognize?
Perhaps post a screenshot to clarify.

-and
-no dead pixel in my status bar
-an icon in the status bar appears when i use "dead pixel test" or disable status bar
Nobody knows ????
No you can't fix it as far as I know, those pixels you see which are different (my case when the screen is black) result from the decay of the amoled screen and 'death' of the LEDs. You can try to replace the entire screen or if you somehow still have your warranty send it in for repair to Samsung and hope that they send you a new one.
