Hi guys,
sorry for the noob question, and for the english too.
I've an xperia arc s lt18i, firmware stock 4.0.2.A.0.62, baseband 64.
I installed doomkernel v19, with the cwm v5.0.2.7, installed cm 9 and gapps from the zip (after a full wipe) it doesn't work. The phone freeze in the Doomkernel Screen. I've tried also cm 7 and the problem is the same. With Miui ROM it works without problems, so, what is the error?
Should I use another Kernel/baseband/fxp version/brain?
thx
I sugges you to move to CM7's own kernel. It will save you from headaches ;-)

You should try looking in stickies first. Then use the search tool to find, because there are lots of such topics.

Arc S is 'ayame', Arc is 'anzu'. Though depending on what you are looking for, certain Arc firmwares are also designed to work on Arc S (mainly CyanogenMod and that based ROMs).

I think I'm gonna flash Legacy Xperia CM 10.1 and there is only anzu version in their website, so I should flash it.
http://legacyxperia.basketbuild.com/index.php?dir=main/cm10.1/
And these are the steps:
1. Bootloader unlock
2. Fastboot flash boot boot.img from the rom thread
3. Flash Rom then gapps with CWM recovery
4. Wipes
right?

Do the wipes after using "fastboot flash boot boot.img", but before flashing ROM and Gapps.

You can't OC when you have locked bootloader, you have to unlock bootloader, flash custom kernel then you'll be able to OverClock higher.

This topic is not about overclocking.
He has Arc S, which should have stock CPU frequency of 1.4 GHz, however new ROM set it to 1.0 GHz.
To OP: When installing the ROM, did you install the Arc S version?
. Arc S, Non unlockable, xperia Honami Z1 rom by Saqib. Ask for anything else....
Flashed through cwm. also tried to reflash stock and than the Honami rom, I also got this when using the Ultimate HD rom.
Someguy theres just one version for both..
