make full wipe and test again if slow
install one of these - they're based on ICS and are blazingly fast Jelly Sandwhich or Xperia HD Ultimate

Just download version 7.4 and put on sd card and then flash with cwm. If you want to use version 8.2, you must download 8.0, flash it, download 8.1, flash it, and then download 8.2 and flash it lol. It's quite easy Follow the instructions on the post

Will it not work how they're rooting the new U firmware? Just use flashtool to flash kernel only of the older firmware. Root with binary, then use flashtool to flash kernel only of the latest firmware again?

How i can do this?

and what about the warranty? and i heard that flashing down/downgrading is only possible when you have a unlocked bootlader
you can use flashtool even if youre on locked bootloader.
Flashtool is fine for warranty etc as it's only flashing official sony files

1. Get it from Here
2. Yes, sure.
3. ICS17 is the modified stock kernel added more features than stock one
Hold on.......
If you've flashed the ics17 kernel then you've unlocked the bootloader yes?
Then scrap off any ics rom and flash Jellybean

You should try looking in stickies first. Then use the search tool to find, because there are lots of such topics.

Arc S is 'ayame', Arc is 'anzu'. Though depending on what you are looking for, certain Arc firmwares are also designed to work on Arc S (mainly CyanogenMod and that based ROMs).

I think I'm gonna flash Legacy Xperia CM 10.1 and there is only anzu version in their website, so I should flash it.
http://legacyxperia.basketbuild.com/index.php?dir=main/cm10.1/
And these are the steps:
1. Bootloader unlock
2. Fastboot flash boot boot.img from the rom thread
3. Flash Rom then gapps with CWM recovery
4. Wipes
right?

Do the wipes after using "fastboot flash boot boot.img", but before flashing ROM and Gapps.
