Hi guys,
sorry for the noob question, and for the english too.
I've an xperia arc s lt18i, firmware stock 4.0.2.A.0.62, baseband 64.
I installed doomkernel v19, with the cwm v5.0.2.7, installed cm 9 and gapps from the zip (after a full wipe) it doesn't work. The phone freeze in the Doomkernel Screen. I've tried also cm 7 and the problem is the same. With Miui ROM it works without problems, so, what is the error?
Should I use another Kernel/baseband/fxp version/brain?
thx
I sugges you to move to CM7's own kernel. It will save you from headaches ;-)

First of all, excuse me for my ****ty english...
So here we go, i've got 2 arc's wright... unlocked the first one, flashed the 1.86ghz kernel and lost wifi and bluetooth... flashed some firmwares, doomlords kernel so lost track on where I lost my wifi...
sick of the laggy performance, sick of the lack of normal memory capacity, so unlocked the other arc and only flashed the 1,86ghz kernel, hoping it wouldnt lose wifi and bluetooth... #bummer...
So, what to do next, how do I get my wifi and bluetooth working again?
Someone got an idea bout what to do?
just flash stock rom, then pre-rooted img. and start again. may be a corrupted file.

What's currently the best combination, stable, fast, no bugs?
And is there a good bug free ics rom out there? I'd like to give it a try.
Thanks in advance
I unlocked bootloader today, and I'm on .58 fw version, 2.3.4
I have: Stock Rom 2.3.4 + DoomLoRD's Kernel.
Full touchpad support and fast without bloatware.

Any idea what changes were from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4?
Advanced Stock and Darkforest ICS.
Unless you want to game correctly/heavily.
Then id suggest staying where you are.

That's basically my predicament. I really enjoyed ICS and pax's modified kernel, but you can't play PSXperia games on ICS. Back to stock ROM I went...
on my opinion , use 2.3.4 + sony's default kernel + some tweaks
as i experienced (( i've checked all kernels )) , all kernels have some bugs , just sony'y default kernel is #1 .
but you can try , if you want

Here you go.
And for best ROMs, I prefer CM9 by FXP. Touchpads work like they should (at least in Minecraft).

Hi folks.
How can I update my FXP114(CM7) to FXP116(CM7) without any loss of data?
and while updating can I fix the problem that my LT18i is recognized as LT15i?
Thanks in advice and sorry if there already was a thread about it..

Flash the boot.img(inside fxp116.zip) with fastboot and then install fxp116.zip with cwm. No data should be lost, but to be safe make a backup first
To change from LT15 to LT18, just edit build.prop, its in system.

After charging: 100%, 5 minutes later 94% left, by just having it in standby..

I'd say bugfixes and improvements.. but don't know more..
and can't tell anything about CM9.. im using CM7
Hi everyone.
I tried to find information about it, but i have not found.
I read somewhere that I can install only the rom based on the original firmware in my Xperia Arc S (LT18i), so I do not think i can do what I have in mind.
I would like to install a CM9 (or CM10 as soon as possible). Can i install a CM9 anzu (LT15i) on my device?
Thanks
Ofcourse!

In fact there is. You should first flash a compatible kernel with fastboot or flashtool, and then the Rom itself. Sad, but true.

The same reason People start new threads about an existing topic that's been answered a million times already maybe. And what you call rude others called direct. Why you get short answers! (The Long Answer)
Kernel KTG 1.52
You can try with Kernel KTG 1.52 good luck!
