Hey guys, wondering if anyone has ran into this problem cause its a first for me. I downloaded some images off the browser and the images downloaded fine but the download icon (little arrow) won't go away now and I cant seem to clear it. Tried swiping to clear it, killed all apps, rebooted my phone and pulled out the battery but still nothing. I'm running AOKP 39 but Franco milestone 5 kernel. Any help

Try going into the browser and settings then downloads and delete the file from there you will still keep the files mind

You can also try to clear data on the download manager.

Look for a market.apk here and reinstall market manually. That has solves similar issues for me in the past.

I received an image attached to a Gmail message and selected "save" when I had no service. Three times. It added a notification of a file download each time. I now have three download notifications for the same file in my list. After a reboot the three stacked to one notification.
I've cleared cache and dalvik, and ended all running processes and it persists.
Any ideas as to how to clear a persistent and errant notification?

I would say to try a wipe of Gmail application data and force close it.

Good idea. After I did this the notification remains.
The notification looks to be orphaned by Gmail.
Perhaps just in UI now?

Agreed that xda search is not very good. You would think it would be powered by Google and work well for finding answer but it really doesn't.

Hi forum. Lately i have just installed apex launcher on my s3 and I'm loving the launcher. However i wanted to switch back to the stock touchwiz and found that it kept crashing on me. I've tried going to setting ms and clear the data for touchwiz. But to no avail... can anyone help me out? Are there any apk. File for me to reinstall? Much appreciated.

No. I'm still new to android.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA
Is it giving a force close error, or just does it just re-launch touchwiz?
It doesn't even work. Each time i select touchwiz it will just freeze and shut. It won't launch. Any idea what went wrong

He said he new to android and not rooted.
Phone Settings > Application Manager > All ....
1. Go to Apex Launcher and clear any "default"
2. TouchWiz Home > clear data / cache (this will reset/wipe settings of your hide screens etc and you'll need to set them up again)

If your not rooted and my previous suggestion didn't work,....
Back up data from internal sdcard to PC and Factory Reset.

Non-rooted: just copy any important folders etc from the internal sdcard to PC. You'll need to setup again, so make sure contacts are also backed up etc. a You may also lose allot of app data, and most can't be backed up without root. Ensure you have copy of your APN and wifi settings handy.
Rooted users: Titanium Backup app (backup app and system data) and make a nandroid backup with CWM recovery. And also copy to PC. Before restore any system app or data (red colour) with titanium, just asking for bugs.

Your Play store app is having connection problems for some reason. Try to wipe cache + data for it via settings > apps > all.
I wiped data + cache and even force stopped. Didn't help. Any other suggestions?

A user in this thread had the same problem and fixed it by removing and re-adding his Google account on the phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1765378
If that also fails, I'd try a factory reset.
I fixed it. I signed into Talk which for some reason wasn't signed in, restarted my phone, and it worked. Thanks for the help guys!

After you change it back to default, you need to open up settings apps and find the play store and google services framework and clear data for both those apps then relaunch the play store.
There are modded markets that removes DPI variable and replaces it with a stock DPI setting.
You can try this one its not the one i use but its close. They give options to both inverted or not. If it doesnt work for you then i'll upload the zip that i have i just hate not giving credit to whoever modded it. I can also mod the market to remove just the DPI and leave everything else the same too. As some modded markets give errors because they mod too much. But the one i posted in the link seems pretty promising.

Don't open it. Lol. It's a flashable zip update. Flash it in recovery. It's saying it's not supported because you don't have an app which can handle zip files. Like root explorer for instance.
