I keep getting this error message "root explorer (file manager) could nit be downloaded due to an error. (404)" every time I try to download root explorer or light flow. Any idea what this means and how to fix it?

Look for a market.apk here and reinstall market manually. That has solves similar issues for me in the past.

Try clearing data on the play store app. Reboot and try again.

The basic things to try are clearing Play Store cache and data, and uninstall the Music app and re-download.
I do all this and nothing still don't work :s

When you clear the cache do you also have the option to uninstall update? I had this issue and I uninstalled the update and this fixed it for me.
I have a similar issue, do let me know if you find a solution. I have a feeling I need to change mine to the US market. Since I'm not rooted yet, I can't try that.

If you are rooted use titanium backup and delete play music. Reboot and then install from the play store. Should work after that.

I guess google music isn't supported in your country. You'll probably have to reflash your gapps package to get it back.

940 error is when you try to install an app that is incompatible with your country. You might try using market enabler.

It will download from the market just fine...just not through the browsers....stock and chrome
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
i even tried flashing another rom and its still doing the same thing
This happened to me on and off with both Chrome and stock browsers throughout tthe period of time I was using AOKP roms (not to say they were the cause - I never used others long enough to notice and my current MIUI just handles it totally differently). I used Crystal Downloader from the store. There are other apps but I stuck with this one. The dev is very responsive. I know it sorta blows to have to get an app for something that should always work, but on the bright side it does perform the downloads much faster ^_^

thanks for your reply...tried that and it worked...
but i did end up just restoring back to stock, relocking the bootloader and starting over
I'm having trouble signing into the mobile site of My Verizon. Its telling me unable to process request. It works fine if I use the normal site instead of the mobile version. I'm on jellybro night lies cm10. Has anyone else ran into this problem on that ROM?

As far as I'm aware, the Verizon mobile apps aren't updated for JellyBean yet.
Its not the app. Its just the mobile version of the website

If you're rooted, remove the HTCLinkify.apk (something like that) from /system/app, if not you can't change it.

Since I updated to 4.2.2 my BofA app says it cannot establish connection.
I have cleared cache and data, as well as fresh installs. Is anybody else experiencing this?

mine is working fine on sourcery 5.1.1. did you try fixing permissions?
this should be posted in Q&A troubleshooting btw
I can't find any information about this anywhere, but I'm having the same problem on my S3.
Did you find a solution?
clear all app data and cache then try booting in to your customer recovery and fix permissions. reboot and try again.
Everything is the same after fix permission.
I guess I will just live with it until the next ROM update comes out.
