Thanks Guys! ... Marwin Settings!!!! - LG Nitro HD

Hey,
I want to thank all the devs and boys who have helped this device along. I just fixed (after a few hours) my device using kdz method. All the help was great! Special props to HO!NO! : ) you are the freaken man! I am a normal LG Optimus 3d guy, but you sure made my life a lot easier!
Two things I would like to share:
1. From the LG Optimus 3d (P920-p925s) forum, we have a tool I think you all would love. All of us have to set up the shttps, edit the hosts file, etc etc. But, we have a better way. One of the devs has automated all of this stuff! It's in a downloadable package called "Offline Installer Download". Found at the top of this page, (instructions included, so please don't ask me how to use it):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287236
2. It took me forever to get a proper flash to work in "UpTestEX_mod2_marwin". But, what solved it for me was a proper .kdz file AND these settings in "UpTestEX_mod2_marwin"
a. System Type: CDMA
b. PhoneMode: DIAG
c. Select kdz file:... (self explanatory)
With the 3d, we have to set type to "3GQCT" and phonemode to "EMERGENCY", so this completely threw me off! And nowhere did I really find a definitive answer for these, minus a few suggestions. This could be clearer and should be in the tutorials of how to flash.
I hope this was some helpful info to those having trouble.
And thanks to everyone here and the xda community! A working phone is a very sweet feeling!

Cyphol's Diamond Basic Kitchen v1.0 For Newbies Alike.

Since I got many PMs asking for the kitchen I used to cook my ROMs, I've made my decision to upload it here.
Well, the source is not completely mine, but it's also modified from KaiserKitchen and tools from many others.
I've checked it and modified it again today to make it as easy to use as I'd like it to be.
You can modified it to suit your own but remember to learn the process first.
So here it is.
The download link is here
Enjoy.

Thanks for sharing.

I'm looking forward to testing it.
It's a simple kitchen only.
You have a few repeating points in the cleaning process.
You could make :clean
del, attrib and rd procs.
AFTER it insert a set /p choice
where choice 8: ends with goto 1a, or choice 9, goto 1b.
I'm thinking about replacing the ervius package manager with buildos+package_tool
What do you think about that?
I'm also thinking about adding a rgucomp registry conversion section.

Yeah! I know but I did it on purpose. That's how to help other newbies understand the process of cooking. I have another one, clean but complexed, not to be publicize since it's not good for learning purposes. It also mean that your're not that noob.
Well, I think I still am.
^.^
I'm more of a linux user but I still remember basic windows batch syntax.
I only started learning about cooking etc not so long ago (htc cooking; what I did in the past was SE modding).
Still have a long road left ahead of me, but I'm a fast learner.
Anyways, you're right about the kitchen.
Experienced chefs will tend to have their own.
Do you think it's a good idea to add "pause" among critical sections?
Just to have time to check if everything's ok and ready to proceed with the cooking.
1 failed step and you have to analyze what and WHERE it went wrong.
But for example:
echo "Extracting imgfs content complete."
pause
--- continue script

Yeah! You're right. I give you permission to alter the batch file and upload again as yours. So, it will help many newbies understanding the process more and trap the errors before hand.
So, how are you doing with Raphael's ROM. My first impression of it is not that good since it's not for release purpose but it's running pretty good on mine. The release one will surely better than ours here.
The first repack I did worked lke a charm (apart from the internal storage driver issue), though I didn't really have the time to play extensively with it; it was only to check the hardware compatibility, speed and structure.
It really looks like a pre-release.
Like I wrote in one of my previous posts, I'm gonna TRY making a hybrid Raph+diam, though I don't know if it's worth the time investment.
Like most ppl in here, I have a private life apart from playing with tech.
Gotta find myself a doctorate. I just defended my thesis last Monday.

Nice Release BRO, SORRY FOR this late reply but beeeen busy, if you need help let me know
Many thanks for sharing! I would like to work around a new Italian ROM and it's a great source for starting!
I have yet another suggestion:
Add another option:
ROM dumping.
with lets say option
8a: list partitions
8b: save partitions
Of course, everyone wil have to input their own partition offsets (Implement something similar to read -p)

US Cellular HTC 6800 troubles.

Hello all I am new to this forum but I hope I can find the answers to my problems here. First off I have looked all over the site for NFO to a solution, but I only found bits and pieces, or information that was a little over my head.
This is my problem: I have a an HTC 6800 through US Cellular, I want to upgrade Windows Mobile to the most current version (6.1) I believe, but HTC does not have the upgrade for the USCC version of this phone on their site, and USCC will give me no tangible information either. Plus I would like to enable the GPS. Are there any step by step, easy to follow articles on doing both of these upgrades? Remember I am new to this so the easier to follow the better. Thank you all for any assistance on this and for providing this wonderful forum.
The Titan section of the forums will be where you want to go.
I used this guide (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=24511) to upgrade mine.
Beginners guide for the Titan - http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=TitanForBeginners
The XDA Titan wiki: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Titan
Some other useful info I've compiled: http://sites.google.com/site/victorbush/htc-6800-1
Hope this points you in the right direction!
The directions say to use Titan_No2Chem_5060_WM6.1. Where do I get this and how do I use it in BuildOS?
Actually using the builds that came with BuildOS (like WM6.1 20931) worked for me.
If you're interested ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Titan/Users/No2Chem/ has No2Chem's stuff. The kitchen RARs are in the Basekit folder. You'll put that in the BuildOS\Kitchens folder. You'll also want to extract the selections text file from the basekit rar and put it in the projects folder. You may have to tinker with the selections file a bit to get it working properly.
Here's the first 7 lines of the no2chem selections file i used for 5060 (i didn't try any others):
SelectionsVersion=.90.04
KitchenDir=Kitchens\basekit 5060.rar:
ModuleDir=Kitchens\PPCkitchen_OEM.rar:
ModuleDir=Kitchens\PPCkitchen_OEM_VGA.rar:
ModuleDir=Kitchens\PPCkitchen_Addition.rar:
ModuleDir=Kitchens\Generic_OEM.rar:
ModuleDir=USER_OEM

Again I thank you vicbush. When I installed BuildOS and then patched it, the first time I opened it it gave me no options in the new project screen, after I updated it again then it gave me some options but none of the ones you have shown me. So I am reinstalling BuildOS and I will let you know if that helps.
Vicbush, I thank you. With all your help and your tutorials on changing carrier name and getting data back up, I am now the proud owner of a USCC HTC 6800 running WM6.1. Again thank you so very much.

How do i get android to work?

i am a fairly basic user so please in your reply say something like "edit the kernal to sdbaus.jnbufbw.x" please give step by step instructions.
Sorry about the nag but a lot of posts have gone over a lot of people's heads
HOW do i get android to work on my phone (htc touch diamond (orange))? i have haret
thankyou in advance
sorry for being so demanding
+1 on this topic.
Really a step by step info is needed.
RTFM
The Wiki is here
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=RaphaelLinux
In summary:
Scroll down to useful links.
Goto Wuala Usergroup.
Download latest build for diamond.
Exctact tmp to root of internal storage.
run haret "Internal Storage\tmp\boot\haret.exe"
You may need to change the mtype in extracted default.txt according to your phone model. Again, read the wiki and look for the section called Hardware differences and configurations.
Thanks a lot man....!!!

RadioComm v11.11.11

This is the latest edition i have found so far,

Guide on how to actually use Radiocomm 11.11.11?
I've only seen screen shots for it but it has a lot of options and looks like a really complex program. All I need it for is to simply flash SPRecovery.spf on my phone when I root it. So could anyone link me to a Radiocomm flashing guide or at least tell me what I need and what to do and if I need to do it before or after rooting? Thanks and I've rooted a lot but never changed recoveries, all the one click root apps give me recoveries that I hate such as RA-eris V1.6.2 because they are a pain. I'm manually rooting my Eris [I've already done manual rooting before] and just choose my own recovery and SPRecovery has gotten a lot more kudos than RA-eris v1.6.2 [Amona Ra?] and ClockworkMod. If anyoen also knows of any other recovieres they like better than please let me know, but for now just a good how to guide for flashing with Radiocomm. Thanks a lot in advance guys! =]
Hi There,
I apologize for not having any links off hand, (though i may be able to update int he future).
I know i have ran across a few guides for radiocomm on the internet... Try using Google.com, and keep an eye out for .pdf files..
I am sure you can tinker around in the menu's also... It is a very robust program...
And, just curious... Did you mean to say .SBF file? instead of .spf?
Good Luck
Here You Go,
I found an older manual for Radiocomm... Idk where i found it, or how helpful it may be... but it's a step in understanding...
Good Luck
yep this tool is interresting...
Here is version 11.12.2
Thanks for posting these files but I can't get them to work. They will not find any of my phones. I have the motorola drivers installed and my puter finds the phone but the radiocomm program won't connect, it stays red. I am running windows 7 with motorola 5.5 drivers, net framework 4 is installed. I tried it in compatability mode, the phones are set to pc mode. my phones are a droid 2 global, and two are a bionic. Can someone please help me out?? Thanks!
For all to know.
The low level tools are written for use with WinXP or lower.
Use with a newer Windows in XP-Mode at your own risk.
That's why to keep an old XP machine (or Win2K) on hand.

Well technically the most important thing with these kind of programs is the bits. Most of them are written for 32bit OS.
I'm using win8 32bit and all of my tools work fine. Just used Radiocomm today and yesterday to read some info from some older motorolas.
Granted not *everything* will work. I had to use Blackberry Desktop Manager 6.0 or newer to get it work right.
5.0.1 or older would BSOD on me when I tried to do too much with the RIM Virtual Serial Port.
How to use this program to enable the FM radio on my Motorola phone? Someone claims to have done this using this program but he's not responding to requests for more information. I've installed the program but don't want to brick my phone. In the past I've messed with other programs like QPST and QXDM to enable additional bands so I'm not an entire newbie. Thank you.
Here is a link for using radio comm on droid,https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthr

MOTOROLA PRO "Official thread" - Please post info on this device here

MOTOROLA PRO+ "Temp Forum" - PLEASE POST INFO ON THIS DEVICE HERE
Im hoping not to be contravening any rules here but since there is barely any info on the MOTOROLA PRO+ at the moment (not much info either on its predecessor MOTOROLA (DROID) PRO), I though all little bits of infor around (I have posted a few things in different places) could be gathered in one place - HERE! ...at least until when (and if) a dedicated section is created for this device...

How to start the Motorola PRO+ (MB632) on the more than basic "built in" recovery:
1. Switch phone off
2. Hold the keypad's "R" key together with the "M" key and press the power button (all simultaneously so: R+M+Pwr) until the Motorola's logo (white Motorola "M" inside red circle) appears - at witch moment you let go of all thre keys
3. wait until the Android "hazard" triangle + the Android "robot" appear, and then:
4. ...press the "volume up" and "volume down" keys at the same time...
5. You will get a very basic 4 option sub-menu consisting of: "reboot system now", "apply update from sd card", wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition"
You can navigate the above with the volume key and used the "enter" button on the keypad to accept.
...ALSO, if whilst the phone is off you press the "volume down" button and keep it held whilst powering up, you get a very basic menu which contains: "Fastboot", "Enter Qualcomm Flash Mode", "Erase USERDATA", "Power Off" and "Exit (boot Android)" ...what I can figure out is how to select any of these options as I have tried with "enter", the "power" button as well as with other keys on the keypad, and nothing seem to work... I will keep trying see what I get - let me know if you guys figure it out before I do!

Got my Motorola PRO+ yesterday! FANTASTIC PHONE!! Totally what I was looking for (...and more...)!!!
Fast, compact but with larger than average display size (for a front physical QWERTY keyboard device), lightweight yet very sturdy, VERY comfortable QWERTY "bar type" keyboard, fantastic display quality, owesome battery life....... (I think Im going to cry! )
...I even "figured" how to root it after trying a few available options out there that didnt work. I will post more on that later (...Im at work right now...!)
***UPDATE***
...so, THIS is "later"! Here is the best and EASIEST way to unlock a MOTOROLA PRO+ (MB632) - I dont know if it also works with MOTOROLA DROID PRO (XT610) - at least for my experience (as all Windows ways I tried didnt work for me! ...maybe is something to do with my "paranoid" strength anti-virus program... ). Yes, you will need to get Ubuntu (Linux) but is free, easy to download/install/use, and you can have it running from an USB stick or installed side by side with your Windows!
ALL CREDITS GO to: CrimsonSentinel13, paxChristo and DooMLoRD's who together, provided me with the way to do it! (please MAKE SURE you visit the following link and THANK THEM if it does work for you!) Said link - below - contains more than one way (Windows, Mac, Linux/Ubuntu, etc.) to get the PRO+ rooted, but since the Windows versions didnt work, and regardless that it would have, I think the Linux/Ubuntu way is MUCH faster and MUCH easier so, here goes "THE WAY" that I used in order to get my PRO+ ROOTED!

I got my Pro+ 2 weeks ago. I was a BB user before as I love a QWERTY keyboard, however being a bit of a technogeek I was keen to get onto the Android platform but there had been no decent QWERTY phones available.....until this baby popped up!
Being my first Android phone I'm a newbie to rooting/roms/etc and as this phone is new/lesser known, there is a distict lack of information about it around at the moment. Thanks for posting the instructions I shall give it a go.
I hope you keep this thread updated with any new info and details of roms.

Hi both
Pls keep us updated on this phone. Its good to read from real users.
Ive used a no of android phones, including moto droid pro and my current moto xprt.
like many i dont care much for moto's implementation of android.
Sony Erricson's is the best. But they dont have a phone type like this - yet.
Enjoy what you have and try to use it as stock, because its not likely if ever a stock ROM will be available for it.
Coming from the previous moto phones i can say that yours is probably the cleanest and least buggy phones...as Moto improved it.
Things to look for in order of importance: battery life, GSM signal, and overall functionality of the phone.
Ideally it should be at least one day with moderate to heavy use, solid H signal most of time (depending on your provider of course), and no random rebooting and bugginess of phone and the like.
Give it a week or 2 and see how it is in real like after you get used to it a bit, and for the phone and battery to 'burn in'.
And keep us updated.
Thanks again

No probs at all! ...I thought so (the Windows way would also work), but really - my "ultra agressive" antivirus does sometimes really annoy me precisely because it stops lots of processes from doing their "job" ...time to buy another computer just for this sort of things! ...not really no... I have been trying lots of different recoveries (Bootstrap, Cockwork, 4EXT...) in order to flash the only 2 availabe ROMs for the DROID PRO (XT610) and NOOOOOTHING seems to work!! Im so frustrated... It seems there are some major changes between the DROID PRO (XT610) and the PRO+ (MB632) ...I have gotten to the pont of "brisking it" (risking to brik the phone!) by trying recoveries from the DROID 2 and DROID X.... THANKFULLY, no brick (dont worry guys, Im not such a "chancer" - I tested what I had too before trying on the phone ) but unfortunately nothing works anyway (although these worked with the XT610!)! Im actually VERY frustrated and annoyed to the fact that the XT610 (being a much lesser device) has much more available right now than our MB632......
I have found some "new" things though - the button convination to get to the more than basic "recovery" feature, and to a sort of engineering sub-menu or something (I dont know what it is for, but it doesnt seem to do much) - I will post info on that in a moment...

PS: I hope not to "offend" anyone but since Im Catalan (or Catalonian - depending on whether you check the Oxford Dictionary or the Webster ), and born in Barcelona, I must reflect the result of yesterday's "El Clasico" (football/soccer): Real Madrid 1 - 3 FC Barcelona (aka: THE BEST Team in the WORLD! )
"VISCA EL BARCAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!" ...Champions League, here we comeeee! (...yet again and for the third year in a row.... )
...OK so, as I was saying above, I have just update post #1 with the "menus" info... Check it out...
