Bro if you have flashed the bootloader of S5300 then I'm afraid you are pretty and royally screwed! How can you make a mistake like that?
As far as I know, the only way you can fix it is to send it into Samsung service centre.
Sorry to break it to you bro.
Next time make sure you know what you are doing before playing around with firmwares, they are NOT COMPATIBLE!

are you sure you can't enter into download mode?? (volume down + home button + lock button)
if yes, then it's indeed hard brick bro
the only thing that you can do is send it back to the service center and make an excuse that your updating through kies was interrupted by a power black out

on the physical aspect, no
they can only figure that out if they can manage to boot it up without flashing the original firmware which i think cannot be avoided so base on that theory, they will not find out
ps: just tell them the excuse i gave on the previous comment
make sure your warranty isn't expired!!

if your phone was hard bricked, then the combination keys will not work anymore. .you can use "usb jig" to trigger your phone into odin mode. .you can buy a usb jig or a home made usb jig. .you will only need a 300k resistor and a micro usb. .search for a tutorial on "how to make your own usb jig"
that will definetely a hard brick. you've flashed wrong bootloader in your phone. in these case only samsung service center could revive your phone. you can ignore all comment and post about jig, recovery mode, combination keys, odin, bla bla bla since they won't work. save your time and just send your phone to samsung service center.

what reason should i give in the service centre as my phone is in warranty period
@missingchord: I'm sorry if my post migh offend you. I didn't mean that. you're just suggesting something based on your knowledge anyway. aside OP, there's only one person here who have got hard brick on his SGY. its normal if only a few us here know how to fix a hard bricked device.
@sunamit: just say 'something goes wrong when I update my rom'. thats not a lie and not void your warranty. most service center will accept these reason.

He was trying to port the ROM, not just blindly flashing something from another phone.
If no one bothered trying these sometimes crazy things, there wouldn't be much going on here at XDA.
Missing one line in your updater-script is all it takes. I had a similar incident while trying to flash ICS on my Gio. Way before Maclaw released anything here. Took that phone out for a while.

You might get download mode to work by removing the battery, plugging the USB cable in, holding Volume Down, Home and Power simultaneously, and putting the battery back in. Odin should recognize the phone, but in my case it went no further than trying to set up the connection.
I've also read reports on here that the USB jigs that put the proper resistance between pins (4 and 5 iirc) also work on the Gio to trigger a different "Factory" download mode. (Same ones as used on the Galaxy S GT-I9000.)
Good luck,
Darkshado
thank u my friend today i will take my gio to a phone repairer and he can unhardbrick by using box

NO-BOOT BRICKS
This is where your phone does NOT turn on, no combo of buttons works and power button does nothing.
DO THIS ONLY WHEN YOU PLUG IN YOUR PHONE AND NOTHING SHOWS UP ON THE SCREEN!!! If else, follow the steps from above.
This method is basically same as above, EXCEPT the way you get into Download Mode as your phone is HARD BROKEN.
1. Download all the files required in the "SOFT BRICKS" section of this post.
2. Remove everything from your phone (SD card, sim, battery).
3. Plug your phone into your computer WITHOUT the battery, as you have already taken it out in the last step.
4. Press and HOLD vol. up and vol. down.
5. As you are HOLDING these buttons, reattach your battery.
6. You should be in Download Mode.
7. Unplug phone from USB
8. Follow steps 4-8 from the "SOFT BRICKS" section.
Troubleshooting:
-Odin stuck at some random process?
*Switch to another odin
*Make sure you did NOT check repartition, if you did, just repeat all the steps over again, of course for the downloading parts, obviously.
-Phone not responsive?
*Try the hard brick section right under
-Phone stuck at Galaxy S logo screen?
*Put it in to DL mode, and run Odin again, it's just a bad install.
-All three ODIN is nonfunctional, stuck or giving "FAILED" errors?
*DO NOT CLOSE ODIN ONCE IT HAS FAILED!
*Unplug your phone
*Replug in your phone, get it into DL mode
* Unplug once it is in DL mode
*Replug and ODIN should recognize your phone
*Leave all the settings the same, then click "Start" again.

Yeah I flashed with china 4.1.2 >.<, later to find out china does not support other countries. I ordered a Jig off ebay, should be coming soon
Well, if your phone doesn't even turns on or enters to download mode with the 3button combination it's hard bricked.
Probably corrupted pbl and/or sbl which means the jig will not work.
Send back to samsung if it's still under warranty or ask someone who has JTAG and upload the bootloaders to the nand, this will bring back dl mode - a JTAG repair will cost approx. 30-50 USD.

Hmmm, It seems to be when I plug my phone into the computer it makes the USB connected sound and stays like that, but after about 5-6 seconds it makes the disconnect sound. Does this mean anything at all?
It confirms your bootloader is corrupted.
I guess it will show an "U8500 USB ROM" in device manager when you connect the USB cable.
That's because the phones internal rom (I don't know what exactly called) tries to load the primary bootloader but it can't find a valid one.
The boot process of Ace 2 and I guess for a few other Samsung devices:
Internal rom -> PBL -> Search for valid SBL -> Loading SBL -> SBL Checks if any 3key combo or JIG/UART/charger/etc connected ?
NO -> Normal boot, loading kernel, etc.
YES -> Charging, Download mode or Recovery mode (depending which buttons are pressed or device is connected).
Or something similar, but the point is you should NEVER flash bootloaders, if one of them gets corrupted you can't recover your phone with the usual tools.
I doubt it can be recovered, but try this:
Pull out the battery, connect the phone to the PC (Odin should be started before) press vol_down+home+power and reinsert the battery (still hold the 3 buttons!)
See if odin detects the phone.

Pull out the battery, connect the phone to the PC (Odin should be started before) press vol_down+home+power and reinsert the battery (still hold the 3 buttons!)
See if odin detects the phone.

No luck , I think I might send the phone back to the place I bought it from and act dumb.

I plugged the phone into a different usb port and it said U8500 USB ROM then it says no driver found. Does this basically mean Ive screwed the boot? IS there any other way than JTAG to fix?
Hi
There is a trick that in most of cases can fix bircked phones!
Just remove battery and wait for a minute , then hold vol. down + Home + power button and ask someone to place battery while you are holding buttons!

I think your pretty much screwed unless you take it to someone who J/TAGS or can revive hard bricked devices, a usb jig will not work. I have learnt my lesson now, to always read the comments at least 10 times before flashing any rom, that goes for stock roms too .

Hello! I had exactly the same thing as you. Gave my phone to Sammy (flash counter was 2 and still is) and they've revived it for free :victory: I've got the phone back today. When leaving my device at Sammy, I've told (more or less ) what happened - OTA have crashed.
Anyway - I had the alternative way. Guys at GSM stalls told they may place a new bootloader too, but for money. Prices varied so be careful - from ~50 euros to even as cheap as 15 euros.
