[Q] Flashed FFF 1.4a through TWRP without reading instructions.. - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I flashed the new FFF through TWRP as stated in the title of this post, but I didn't read any of the instructions which is sadly why I'm here now x.x...When I turn the kindle on, whether it's connected to my PC or if its connected to a wall outlet, the screen never turns on, but the power button light goes bright green for a split second, then bright orange, then it turns into a very dim orange and thats it, will anyone please help me on this on what to do?

How recently did you do this? A new version was released yesterday that was supposed to prevent that from happening.

Like half an hour ago :\ and, I made some food and came back to find the gedeROM booting, and as soon as it booted, it said Powering Down because the battery was too dead, then the kindle restarted and I took the power cable out, and it said Charging please wait, but thats it, that shows up for like a split second then the screen goes black again
EDIT - Sorry for being so paranoid, I ran over to check how my tablet was doing and I pressed the power button, and its successfully booted at 4% battery. I guess the battery was just THAT dead

Sorry, I misunderstood your post. I thought you meant you flashed the .zip through fastboot instead of TWRP.
But yeah, that's normal.

Charge it hopefully you'll be good

Phone bricked, unbricking TUT not working.

I was updating my Dash the other day to Ookba's latest rom when I received an error message. It gave me instructions on how to fix it (loading it in bootloader etc.), and I received a message saying it was successful and the rom would continue updating. I received another error message saying the rom was corrupt, and the program shutdown. My phone will not power up now. It was at(or near) full charge while reflashing, but will not turn on regardless of the button combination I hold while attempting to power it on.
Any ideas? Thanks!
what rom did you attempt to load in the bootloader? it should have been the factory rom..if not, then that is probably the root of the problem....as far as it not powering on now...I leave that open to the forum...cuz' I have no relevant advice on that one....
when trying to do the gold card method to unbrick my phone, it say Invalid certificate ..? wats this and how to fix it.
I was trying the "[ROM][EXCA][WWE][* 3VOLUTION SERIES *][WM6.5 STD 21854][Build 3VO.3.00.112509]" when it locked up on me, and still hasn't been able to power up.
Today when plugging it in after a week of letting sit, a red led light showed where the normal orange/green led would normally light up when charging/charged. The light stayed on for a few seconds, then shut off. Nothing else though. Any other suggestions?

Red light my friend means your battery is gone, probably your phone is not bricked maybe it just needs a battery replacement
I am having the same issue, except that I can place the battery in another Dash and it boots up just fine, so I am assuming it is not the battery. I will buy another one to double check. My problem is the same as which is stated above. Can anyone help? Thank you.
Just an update to see if I can get anymore suggestions. Hadn't touched the phone since the last post. Bought a new battery for it this weekend and it's still dead as ever. Won't boot at all. Not into bootloader, nothing. I get absolutely no response holding power+cam or softkeys+power.
Any advice? I don't absolutely need the phone as I've picked up a G1, but it would be nice to have this working, or at least trash it if it's junk.
Thanks!
Everyone else stumped too?
Have you connected to the wall charger to see if you get some response with your new battery?.
Just unbricked mine after being dropped again by the girlfriend. Try this, plus usb cable into device, press the camera button only. See if that gets you into the bootloader screen. If so, flash the oem build and go from there.
Tried it plugged into a wall charger for 3-4 hours, car charger for another hour, and computer/usb for another hour. No response anytime.
I'll try the camera only method when I get home later.
Thanks!
Just tried plugging it into the computer and holding only the camera. Didn't work. Tried that, tried holding power+cam, power+soft keys etc.. What's weird is I had the battery cover off while doing this, and the battery slipped out while I was holding cam+pwr, it actually loaded into the multicolor(bootloader?) screen twice, but would shutoff within a few seconds. Now I'm back to no response from it.
Finally got it to stay on the boot screen without turning off, but can't get it to establish an activesync with the computer so I can't flash it. The computer is obviously detecting it though, because I see an icon that says "remove smartphone usb sync".
The phone's FINALLY working again! Thanks again guys! I was a couple of days away from junking the thing! I couldn't get Ookba's rom to flash it, so I went back to the unbricking tutorial and saw that he recommended grabbing the factory rom to flash it. I did, it worked, and I just flashed it again using Ookba's rom.
Took quite a few months, but it's back! Thanks!

bricked kindle??!!

Ok so i rooted my kindle and flashed energy rom with twrp. They were both outdated. So i was about to update them but my battery ran out. So i let it charge and it kept showing the twrp logo and kept looping in other words it was in a recovery loop. I can't acces recovery or abd i think fastboot works but im not sure i tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1428428 but it still doesnt work please help.:crying:
Try soupkit.
Forgive me if this sounds like an obvious question, but could you describe the "twrp" logo you are seeing?
"That's a special kind of stupid. The kind that makes me laugh."

See? There's no such thing as a stupid question.
Actually that is the FireFireFire splash screen. And I'm guessing that the "boot loop" you are experiencing is more like the FireFireFire splash screen flashing on and off?
Your device must to be able to boot so far before it can charge properly. It's kind of a screwed up situation but there is a way around it.
Every time you hold the power button to force the device to shut down, it performs a series of tasks before letting go. One of these I'm guessing is to enable charging over usb. The best way to do this is to plug the device in and immediately hold the power button until it shuts off, and stays off. Leave it alone for a while and it will charge properly.

omg ty couldnt find the awnser to this ty so much. ill let u know i it works
Not working. it reboots in 5 secs
Let it sit for a while (probably overnight) and try again. Unfortunately, short of replacing the battery, that is probably your best option.

[Q] Phone won't boot after battey depletion

I am having troubles booting my phone after the battery depletes and the phone shuts off. My Optimus G is rooted with lifeless Rom v14 and I have TWRP recovery.
So once the phone dies, I plug it in to charge, and the phone screen automaticaly comes on and the LG logo flashes for a second, but nothing happens. The phone doesn't actually charge. If I remove the phone from the charger, the display still stays on until I hard reset it. I cannot access recovery mode or download mode for some reason. Usually when my phone dies, and I plug it in, it will flash the LG logo, keep the display on for a few seconds, and then shut down and restart and show the battery logo charging. I am not getting that this time, and I can't seem to do anything to get it operating again. There also isn't a red LED light to represent charging either. If anyone has had this issue before or knows how to fix it, I'd really appreciate the information right now.
Thanks

That actually just happened to me too
All I did was unplug the phone, hold the power button until the screen turns off, and power up the phone. I do think the phone may need to plugged in for a bit after it does before it will boot. Hope you find a solution.

I had to use LGNPST and teenybin to get anywhere. I got the program all setup and after trial and error, I fixed the problem, only to be found with another problem. Now my phone doesn't seem to want to charge. It will go to the charging screen and everything, but the red pulsing LED isn't on like it used to be, and it doesn't seem like it really is charging. on TWRP, the battery percentage doesn't even show, except until recently it started showing, and then it disapears because it has no power. Any help?!

Screen won't turn on, battery indicator light works

I recently installed Alien Droid for kf2 on my kf2 and everything was going smoothly so I doubt it was that, but I woke up this morning to a kindle fire that wouldn't turn on at all, the screen doesn't flash or anything and it just stays blank. I've done the hard reset where you hold power button for 20 seconds and still nothing. The battery indicator light comes on when I plug it in and it will turn off when I do the hard rest. Could this have anything to do with maybe the battery dying overnight?
While it's plugged in to the computer (given time to boot normally), are you able to communicate with the device via adb?
Nope, I've also left it to charge for about six hours. Now when I try to press power button it flashes green but the screen does nothing

I would suggest checking to see if it can be detected by Linux (lsusb). If not, your last available option may be to try and usbboot. I can't imagine what would cause the device to act such a way, but guess it's still remotely possible that the bootloader or bootloader partition got corrupted.
Hopefully, you're not looking at a bad eMMC.
I have a suggestion that your kindle has a bsod (black screen of death) hold the power button for 20 sec. and then press it another 3 sec. hopfuly i am right and your kindle will turn on. have this bsods 1-2 times per day.
It absolutely sounds out of power.
I know when my kindle isn't charged the light blinks like that. Maybe if the above suggestions don't work.. Try another charger

I just realized you have a kf2 and not a kf1, so usbboot is obviously not an option for you. Disregard my previous statement.
You' already tried the hard shutdown and you say you've let it charge, but have you tried letting it charge while completely powered down?
Outside of that, I wish I had a better suggestion for you. It's definitely an odd situation.

Desire HD doesn't turn on after overnight charge

This is ridiculus, it was working yesterday and just before I went to sleep I put it to charge.
This morning I wake up, suddenly I see there's no red or yellow light, the phone is supposed to be charging yet there's no light, suspicious I thought.
But it could've been just this crappy USB port suddenly going loose. anyway I checked it to see if the battery was full, tried turning on - but it couldn't turn on. at all. no light whatsoever.
I tried resetting the battery 3 times, still nothing, I tried to charge it again and for a second it blinked red, a few times. so I tried turning it on while it's charging, didn't work. I could only access CWM Recovery.
And even in CWM Recovery, after pressing "reboot" it went black and returned to Recovery again.
Please, I really need help, please reply.
Phone details:
Desire HD
CyanogenMod 10.1 - Version 4.2.2
CWM Recovery
Power button doesn't work.
Help.

Are you able to flash a rom? Try to power the phone on using adb commands, plug the phone into a PC and type adb reboot bootloader, and see if it goes into hboot
