[Q] One X Stuck on Boot screen after rooting - HTC One X

I unlocked the bootloader and rooted. All was working well
I installed LCD Monitor Pro, I tried to change density to 240dpi and but it wouldn't accept it
When I rebooted the phone, it is not stuck on the 'htc quietly brilliant' screen
I have tried 'fastboot erase cache' and 'fastboot reboot-bootloader', but no luck
I have tried searching for the answer too but haven't found anything
Any help?
Thanks

Ok seems I need to use a RUU
(note I am running the stock ROM - can I still use endeavour RUU's?)
My CID is HTC_001 (I have the GSM Unlocked version)
However, I cannot find a reference to CID on the RUU page, so I am not sure which to download
Note: My phones radio (according to fastboot) is 1.1204.103.14
So, is this the current RUU? RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.9_Radio_1.1204.103.14_release_256469_signed.exe

Just make sure you relock the bootloader before flashing
And you may want the latest RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.29.401.11_Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260491_signed.exe

It worked, cheers mate!

If you have unlocked via HTCDev the this would have removed your CID in which case yes you should be able to flash the WWE RUU on a branded device.
If you have not unlocked and are still running stock then no it wont work.
Does HTCDev unlock remove CID? Unless it changed to 11111111 you still won't be able to flash an RUU AFAIK

It does indeed. It doesn't change it to 1111111 it completely removes it altogether.
I re locked the bootloader the other day and re-flashed the WWE RUU as im sending it back (screen flickering problem) and it worked with no issues.
Vodafone Australia
I am Vodafone Australia and unlocked my phone via HTCdev. I am also facing the same problem (screen flickering)and need to send it back. I have re-locked it. As you just said "I re locked the bootloader the other day and re-flashed the WWE RUU as im sending it back" can you please explain how did you re-flash the WWE RUU? steps or link?

You need to get the vodafone au ruu. General wwe releases will not work for you. Pretty sure the correct ruu is available in the dev section.
Can't link, posting from phone.

Stock RUU for 1.28 needed
Hi there
I have effectively killed my HTC one - I unlocked via htcdev and upgraded the recovery - fastboot shows the device id when running the command fastboot devices.
However I am now stuck in a boot loop where the phone only boots to hboot (following a failed boot.img flash) I have downgraded back to stock recovery and re locked but cant find the 1.28 RUU to recover the device (and I did try the RUU for 1.26 but it wouldnt install)
Once I updated te recovery i ran the fastboot boot boot.img command
This failed to progress past the 'htc quietly brilliant' flash screen.
I dont have the rom .zip saved on my internal memory on the phone - I was hoping to be able to push it to the /data/ partition however when I try this sdb returns no connected device.
Wonder if anyone can assist in either
a - returning to stock with a RUU for 1.28
or
b - advise how to flash the files I need onto the phone (it seems that the ROM isnt booting so I assume its from the point I install boot.img and beyond I need so help)
Unfortunately I cant get the phone to boot to copy files to the memory so need to work entirely in fastboot and adb (assuming adb wil recognise the handset)
Many thanks
Gurry

But relocking it puts it back so unless you were on HTC__001 you'd be back on the VODAP001 CID

Tried to flash rom from cyanogenmod 10 to sense rom, possibly bricked

I ordered a used HTC One X and it arrived today, needed to get a micro sim for it so i bought it, however whenever I tried to enter the sim unlock code on start up it kept saying request unsuccessful. After searching on this forum I found that the problem was because the phone had already been flashed on cyanogenmod 10, I was told that I would have to flash to a 'sense' rom for me to be able to unlock the sim. Having done this now I have managed to possibly brick my phone.
It gets passed the HTC logo and the jellybean loading screen keeps looping (jellybeans floating around screen). I downloaded the all-in-one kit and tried flashing stock recovery and kernal, and it managed to get past the booting screen to a screen showing that android is updating. however once it got to updating the last app it got stuck again. since then i havent managed to get back on that screen, just a continuous bootloop.
the phone originally was on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2, with cyanogenmod 10(i think it was 10)
I tried flashing it to this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1546970
UNLOCKED
endeavoru pvt ship s-on RL
HBOOT-0.96.0000
CPLD-NONE
MICROP-NONE
RADIO-1.1204.105.14
the CID is ORANG001
perhaps I could fastboot an RUU?
Would really appreciate any help you could offer :crying:
also did the following
"If you have stock recovery
Download a Custom Recovery
Then flash it with the command:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.3.1-endeavoru.img
Now you can flash a new ROM or nandroid backup"
now i cant even get to recovery. trying to flash recovery from all-in-one kit and it just says "waiting for device" now
Do you know fastboot commands
Phone in bootloader/fastboot usb mode

Yes, problem is now whenever I type in these commands I just get "waiting for device". I dont think my laptop is recognising the phone anymore, theres no sound playing when plugged in/out anymore
Were you aware that the phone already had CM10?

I re-installed HTC Sync and managed to get connected to fastboot again
the version is 1.29.061.11
ive also managed to get CWM recovery working again
Here is the link to the ruu you need
http://androidfiles.org/ruu/securek...Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260736_signed.exe
Install :
Put the phone in fastboot usb mode and lock the bootloader
Fastboot oem lock
Keep the phone in fastboot usb mode and right click the ruu on the pc and run it with admin rights !
It will bring back the phone to full stock and you will also be able to update the phone to software 2.17 ICS and after that to software 3.14 JB
Note : it will wipe the whole phone so back up stuff if needed
I managed to get it working in the end by doing that same method, took me forever to find the right ruu!
Thanks for your help :good:
Hey guys! It seems I've run into the same problem but unfortunately this fix is not applicable to me because my hboot is 3.16, which means there is no RUU available for my device! Can anyone help me??

Bricked One X

My brother broke the lcd on his phone so bought a bricked one x and swapped the lcd's so now i have the job or sorting out the bricked one x.
I have the device currently charging using the batch script and its at 3791mV at the minute. Once I boot it into boot loader I cant unlock it with the unlockcode.bin file as it says too many links and the phone reboots as soon as I hit yes to unlock. It currently says locked so I assume that means it hasn't been unlocked before.
I cant get into recovery either it just shows the htc logo along with the red writing at the bottom. So I cant get into recovery, cant unlock and have to charge very slowly using a batch file.
The CID is o2_001
Hboot is 0.94.0000
Radio is 1.1204.103.14
fastboot getvar version-main = !.28.206.9
I downloaded the ruu RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_O2_UK_1.26.206.2 as its the most recent I could find but its too out of date.
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Stucked Desire

After two years away from Desire i'm back !!
One device came into my hands with the following problems.
No booting. Stuck in HTC green logo.
Stock recovery not working, remains on HTC green logo. (The same happens after flashing from fastboot a custom recovery)
It has unlocked hboot from htcdev with version 1.03.0003.
It has CID TELUS001. (I tried to PB99IMG.zip to reinstall TELUS rom and after check of the zip goes back to hboot menu)
By RUU with GoldCard gives error in RUU.
The fly in the garbage ?
I think you'll have to search for a guide how to downgrade hboot 1.03.0003 first
I've not done it myself, but seen guides here.
Then flash the 2.3.3 GB RUU.
finaly with some attemps (5 or 6) with 2.3 Gingerbread RUU the device worked fine.
BUT it suffers with overheating problem... works only in refrigeration.

HELP! HTC 10 Three UK (H3G__001) Restore to stock

Hi,
I've been handed a HTC 10 locked to the Three network in the UK which has been tampered with and I'm looking to restore the firmware.
I'm not sure what the previous owner has done but the device boot loops when attempting to boot into Android or Recovery with a red warning message quickly appearing.
The device boots into download mode fine, it states it's relocked and S-ON and fastboot seems to function fine but I'm unable to flash anything to the device due to it being locked and S-ON, unable to get into Anroid I cannot enable OEM Unlock to unlock the device again.
I've been hunting the web for HTC 10 H3G__001 RUU but am not able to to find anything anywhere, the unlocked and european versions always fail due to the CID mismatch.
If anyone can provide the RUU for my particular device or point me in the right direction I would be very grateful, HTC support aren't really proving to be any help in providing such.
Just an RUU zip to be placed on the SD so I can restore from the download menu is all I ask.
Thank You!
