What cable are you using? Usually this means its stuck and its not going to continue you wont brick it totally pulling it out but you will soft brick it which is fixable by what your doing now. I would suggest pulling it off, go get a good thick cable, and hope that the phone goes into download mode still.
unplugged and got back into download mode odin back to stock. on a different note i'm doing all this to activate my phone on sprint agian is there an easier way?

Take it to a sprint store? Probably would be the best bet, but not now that you have soft bricked it. Probably should have asked that before trying to go back to full stock. You could have just flashed a stock gingerbread ROM if you were rooted.
Just get a better cable.

U will be fine. Just pull the battery, put it back in, and boot back into download mode. Just make sure u have a good data cable like blackberry...etc..

Fyi, if u get a diamond and android guy on the screen when booting. Keep battery off for about 5 mins

I've just lost my Samsung note, after a hard reboot when the phone locked I got a dead system. Tried to boot into the reset menu but got the Odin menu by mistake, after which I hard reset the phone again, but this time it won't boot past the SGN2 Boot screen. I've gone through all the stuff of trying to re-install the phone with a ROM but it moan I had no PIT, so I found one. Still though it won't go past in setting of the partition... it might need a long time to set-up, but I have no idea as after a hour its still leaving the same message. I'm going to leave it overnight, but I would love some feed back to those that have done this before.

Well I left it running over night and still nothing... So far I have tried it with PIT_N7100_16GB_20121102 and it just never gets any further. So I can only assume that I'm making a mistake getting this on the system. Going to have another search later to see if their are any other methods of restoring the phone.
It's really bad sign and I suspect SDS
Can you give more details what exactly happened, how the issue started?
You are on which rom, when this happened?

The phone is completely stock, which it why this has rather confused me. All I know is that it was working all OK, hun and wouldn't respond, so I reset it with a battery pull. On starting it up the phone wouldn't move past the 'Samsung' boot screen. So I tried to boot into the recover to reset the system and end up in the Odin mode by mistake, but since then the phone now won't move past the SNGT-7100 Screen. Plugging it into Odin and trying to install the stock ROM again it told me I had no PIT, so I have tried to apply a number but they all fail.

I've tried the PIT_N7100_16GB_20121102.pit and sch-i605-16gb.pit
I'm rather stuck as to whether there is another method I can try or should just give up and take it back to Phones4u to get it replace via the warrenty as I've only had it since just before Xmas.
It seems SDS purely, don't do anything, particularly which raise flash counter and just submit to service centre.
Sorry man but it's seems nothing but SDS, you may not have updated to latest 4.1.2,which believed to have fixed for it
Goodluck

It really shouldn't take more than 10min.

I switched to a different usb cable and a different usb port and it worked. Unfortunately I don't know if it was the cable or the phone since I switched both.
I have had my Note II before it was even released in the US, Thank you Samsung but it has been on the Samsung Screen for 3 days and Im losing it slowing with trying everything on different post and different videos with the same result. Grrrrrrr I used Galaxy Note II toolkit when it became available and was the easiest root ever. Didnt do anything extreme or make any changes other than root for hotspot. All of a sudden a year later it powers off one night and I woke to the samsung screen of hell. I popped out the battery and reinserted but to my dismay in the morning, samsung screen again. I have downloaded SPH-L900_MA7_Rooted_Nodata.tar, SPH-L900_MA7_Stock_Nodata.tar and L900VPUBMK4_L900SPTBMK4_HOME.tar. Im using Odin v3.07 and I get FAILED everytime no matter which .tar i use !! The message I get is " There is no PIT Partition" . I have been using xda for years being was always receiving free phones due to my old career but this situation has me stumped so I am officially a noob today. Please Help!!!! What am I dont wrong?
Odin OneClick Fail
I followed the guide " I bricked my Sprint Samsung Note II SPH-L900 and this is how I fixed it" above using Odin OneClick MA5 restore and this is the result I get everytime in ODIN. My issue is not solved.

I just ran into the same problem with my brothers phone, now I am trying to restore it
Hi guys, am sorry if this is a repeat post I've been looking for a solution but haven't found one. So my note II was on my desk when it suddenly rebooted, but now its stuck on the Smasung GALAXY Note II GT-N7100 screen. Holding the Vol up + home + power buttons does nothing but reboot and take me back to the stuck screen. I can though reach the download mode with vol down + home + power, my phone is rooted. Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.
PS: Sorry if bad grammar english is not my 1st language

Samsung driver installed? Do you have any open KIES or Samsung Smart Switch apps open? They should be closed first.
If you're using Windows 10, run as administrator is NOT required. But all other Windows versions SHOULD be ran as administrator with a right click on the Odin .exe file for app launch.
You seem to get to write and fail in Odin. Could be bad USB cable or missing the data lines in it. Original Samsung cable or a Motorola USB cable should work. Try another PC USB port as well. Rear port is often recommended but should be USB 2.0 compatible.
When and if it fails again, check your phone's display for additional information. It's a common failure in our forum for users to flash with reactivation lock enabled. But you could verify in Settings/Security that reactivation lock is disabled.
I prefer a md5 to verify my download but on the case of Chainfire downloads, download twice and check the md5 of both for matching md5. You could have a bad download.
Just typical things to check.
Since you mentioned wanting to remove bloat, have you considered just getting a package disabler from Google Play? I don't use them or know where to get a free one but here's one on sale with 7 day guaranteed refund.
