depending on what kind of ROM you backed up, the nandroids could range from 300-1gb. so yeah most likely those.
they're in your clockworkmod folders
or you can go to rom manager and delete from there.

Titanium backup MOVE TO SD not working..

I hope someone can help. I have been using TITANIUM BACKUP PRO on my EVO with the MOVE APP TO SD for apps that FROYO 2.2 doesnt automatically detect it can move to SD. It has been working fine.... UNTIL this past week when I would try to move an APP to SD and it says it is moving it but nothing happens and it doesnt move (it still shows I can move it to SD in TB PRO). Any app designed for moving to SD with APP2SD FROYO works fine. Can anyone tell me what I can do to get this feature back working? I am using SPRINT LOVERS ROM and one of the ne battery life KERNELS.. I thought it might be the kernel I flashed so I flashed back the stock kernel. SAME ISSUE. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling TB PRO but still same issue.
I did post this on the forum for TB PRO support and was told it was sent to the developer but I have heard nothing and really need to get this fixed.
Any help would be appreciated....
What I recently did was installed Dark tremors a2sd on my phone. It actually moves all your apps to sd and frees up so much memory. It's frickin awesome. First you have to find out if it will work with your rom, ther is a list of roms that works with on the DT page which I wil post. I put it on my wifes phone which had Ava and it didnt work. I then put her on Myn's Warm rom, which I think everyone should be on anyway. If you want to switch roms and dont want to worry bout reinstalling all your apps, use Titanium Backup and do a batch bacup through the menu. Backup all user apps and system info. Then in the new rom you can go back into TB and do a restore and it will reinstall all your info. Second you have to partition your sd card if you haven't already. To do so you must first create a backup of your sd to your computer as prtitioning will wipe the sd. Also I only now how to partition the sd using Amon RA recovery, it's much easier than using clockwork. Partition up to ext3.
To find Dak Tremors flashable zip go here- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715938&highlight=apps2sd
I'll tell you what, if you cant figure out the rest, PM me and I will walk you through it. Good luck and sorry for the book, I tend to get carried away. LOL

I am confused.. it looks like this program you are referring to needs a partitioned SD card.. TB doesnt and neither does FROYO.. the thread also mentions about OTHER APPS to force apps to SD.. is there something else besides TB PRO?

Well yes, the sd needs to be partitioned. A plus is that all your apps go to the sd leaving much more valuble space in your phones memory and it also automaticaly moves them. No need to move manually anymore.
Also when you partition it only partitions around 500mb, you still have plenty of card. I looked and your rom doesnt support it but I would recommend moving to Myn's Warm anyways. It's much faster and smoother and so worth it. It allows you to use programs such as DT. If you want help with it or have more questions send me a personal message. Just put your cursor over my name and click. Then find where to send me a personal message. Just to avoid cluttering the thread.

I like sprint lovers rom.. Its a sense rom and EVERYTHING works nice and fast .. INCLUDING 4G.. with the new KERNEL I am running I am getting great battery life. I just want to get TB working.. I read somewhere that there might be another APP for forcing apps to SD like TB does. Does anyone know what that is?

Sprint lovers if just the stock rom rooted. Myn's is a custom rom with built in themes, mods, añd tweaks. You can use things such as Dark Tremors and more. It gives you the ability to expand your herizons. You could always do a nand backup and then wipe and try the rom out. If you dont Like it you can restore your backup. The keyboard is a little different as far as looks but I actually use a different theme which is really cool. I dont know if it works with sprint lovers. Its called Riptide's colorNclear- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=727117
Also, I dont know if you got tether to work but it's included in Myn. Myn is also working on his newest update which implements the new system updates and is supposed to be rockin.
If you want the most out of your evo then try it out. If you're fine with what you got, that's cool to. It's all up to you.

[Q] can anyone help me out plz

hi all, plz take it steady!
iv a htc desire, iv used revoke in the past and had a custom rom installed which i was happy with. recently i had a problem, to cut the story short i wiped the memory card of all its contents, including any backups.
the phone itself is always telling me its low on memory altho i dont have alot installed at all.
i have leedriod 3.0 installed at the moment but yet again, i get low space warnings and what is on the phone is on the memory card using app2sd.
basically i just want the memory back to its max available and the standard rom reinstalled, but where do i get it from, iv looked on the thread and i was unsure which one to download.
baseband is 32.48.00.32u 5.11.05.14
i dont believe i have a backup of the original
any help and steps would be gratefull

If you say you don't have a lot installed, then are you sure app2sd is working? Also before flashing Leedroid did you do a full wipe of your phone?
hi thanx for the reply, yes im sure app2 sd is working, any app i have installed is on the sd card yet available space on the phone itself is14.88 mb.
as for the question regarding did i do a full wipe before leedriod was installed...i dont really know if i did a full wipe or not. i just need some help to get as much space as possible back and the standard rom reinstalled if thats possible
You need a ext partition on the sd card to get the "real" a2sd working. If you don't want to make one flash a noa2sd rom.

[Q] Space usage on internal phone memory

Hi, So I got a new HTC One x yesterday (32 GB.
When I go to the storage menu, I can see that 4.98 GB out of 6.76 GB of the total App storage has been used.
For the used space it says:
Apps 289 MB
Other 4.70 GB
Available 1.78 GB
My question is, what is under the space for Other (4.70 GB!). It seems a lot and I can not find a way to check whats there.
The phone storage is fine with 1,25 GB used from 25,24 GB.
Thank you.
The ROM takes some space I think.
Wow, I did not realize that the ROM is that large - almost 5 GB. :crying: Thanks.

Yeah that's shocking never noticed that till now, I though the rom would only be around 1gb.
Sent from venom injected one x
Ok, so I guess this 8 GB is not so much and soon I will have to start installing apps to the 32 GB phone memory.
I guess the full rOM data shoudl stay there, at least until I root the phone?
Even with a custom ROM installed it comes up with "misc" taking up 3.88gb, when the rom was only ~ 180mb. Strange!
Thats even more strange! Perhaps its just a hoax to hide the fact that there is actually less memory in the phone . Well that's a joke ... probably, hopefully ....
I am sure there must be folks around here, who can and would be interested to get to the bottom of this and also find out if it is possible and reasonable to somehow free more space from under the "mysteriously" occupied "misc" line.
I tried to access the data directories in the phone own memory using simple browsing tools (ES File explorer) but with the factory ROM and without root, I could not make much sense of this.
Is there anybody, who has further input to this? Thanks in advance.
Same problem
I have the same issue. Just did a full wipe then installed latest ViperX rom and get the same result: 4.73GB of 'Other' storage, and cant work out what its used for
Is this normal?
Finally find this section...
Recently got an HOX (very cheap,) so decided to gave the HTC another chance. Had before issues with One S and few other devices.
Back to topic. Installed all my favorite apps and then, browsing phone came to Storage and saw this "Other" with 4.69GB taken out from Total.
First I thought some of my stuff, but realised that phone is brand new and nothing else installed except apps.
Also when turned it on , it was on 4.0.3 and within 24 hours got several updates (vary btwn 8MB to 369MB) until it stopped on 4.1.1 (JB-WOW).
I haven't look at Other when first booted up, so can't say it was same size or not.
Now I see you guys have same "issue" so I am ok for now...
But if this space is for OS, I hope the Android 5.x will fit in to reserved 6.61GB ?
Oh, and one more thing; the Storage is 26.58GB (phone is clean yet as nothing installed).
Every form I have read on this issue, people have said they have at most 7gb used up by "other" mine on my HTC one is 23.3GB but I can't where that is I have the VIPERONE rom. Any help is welcome

Many issues, storage the biggest

I am about 9 days into the purchase and may regret having done so. To keep this brief, I have never seen so many things that don't work right, out of the box. Mostly force closes on some key apps I have. However, the thing that is most irritating is the internal storage. I just went back to stock MDL, to sortof start from the beginning, but (and since I can't use Root Explorer atm) Estrongs file explorer still shows 8.37 GB's used out of 9.62. I get the thing where we really don't get 16 GB's, but I am looking at what is on the internal and I can't see anything at all that is using anything close to that much space. Is it correct that apps don't show up in a file explorer, and is that likely what is taking up all the space? Regardless, this is nuts. I can't be jockeying around with trying to free up a GB or two just to nandroid the stock ROM for the next two years or however long I have this. I was rooted and had installed a custom ROM or two since I got it, but I tried to nandroid the stock ROM before flashing AOKP last night, and it would not let me due to the internal card being full. Has anybody else experienced this, and figured out how to free up some significant space? Last couple of things: for when I am rooted, does anybody know how to get fix permissions in ROM Manager to work? I keep getting "error trying to run privileged commands". Has anybody gotten My Backup Pro to actually do a full backup? Finally, having gone back to MDL, isn't that what the phone "upgraded" to when I first turned it on, and am I now able to bring it back without concern of the warranty being voided?
Something must be wrong between your shoes & the phone...just saying.
Insert a Class 10 32GB stick from Samsung, storage woes solved. Added bonus, snap many more pics & faster too.
Lots of force-closes? On a custom ROM or OEM? Either way, be sure to FULLY WIPE when you do either...99.9999999% of n00b foolishness quoting "this phone is a piece of junk bla bla bla" stems from not following instructions properly, or just missing a key procedure.
Samsung have spent MANY millions developing this phone, rest assured that they've had any number of tards try to do stupid things with it to find it's weaknesses...hardware OR software.
Btw, why are you trying to have ROM Manager fix any permissions? Do you have expressed instruction to do so or is it an old habit from Android 2.2x days? Otherwise don't do it.
The storage is horrible. The external sd card if basically useless; you cant move apps and you cant backup directly to external sd. I'm returning the S4 tomorrow and going back to the S2.

You can't backup what? Nandroids? Yes you can. I don't know how you can fill up 9gb with apps but if you did then maybe you should get a different phone or wait for the 32gb version

I don't know where you guys get your information from, of course you can make nandroid backups and restore from
external sdcard using the latest CWM or TWRP recoveries, and of course you can flash roms and install APK apps
from either the internal sdcard or the external sd card.
You just need to get better acquainted with the file system in the Galaxy S4.
It is way different than the file system on the Galaxy S2 or S3.
Good Luck

Thanks for nothing. The subheading of this section is "HELP and troubleshooting", not butt wupping. How are my storage woes solved if there is not enough space on the internal card to then try to transfer it to the external, regardless of how large it is? Oh, and BTW, good for you that you apparently don't have any "tards" in your family or in anybody's you know. Karma, dude.

With TWRP I get an almost instant failed when backing up to external. CWM took so long [easily 3 x longer than S2] I restarted. Finally I let it go about 20 min and it completed. Restore worked too. I've had trouble getting OUDHS to backup external and where I can see the file. With CWM I can at least see the file, renaming it though seems to screw up restore. OUDHS is the fastest, hope I can get it to work as needed.
UPDATE: just finished backing up with OUDHS & think I found the file. I had to install CWM recovery first, save to external so I have a backup folder created under clockworkmod and now OUDHS saves to that folder. Before it was nowhere to be found. Nice.

I've got nearly 120 apps installed, all downloaded from the play store, nearly 7GB free space left on internal storage. How many apps etc do you have installed? Or do you mean that the performance of the internal card is horrible?
I backed up to external 3 times now; ROM Manager, MyBackup & Titanium all allow it.
Is Apps2SD not available for the S4?
You might miss some of the speed of the S4 if you go back to the S2
Also keep in mind that they may not take it back for a refund or anything in the worst case. It is likely that you've got to pay the 75$ restocking fee.
Edit: duh, you've already answered yourself, my bad. Tho keep in mind keeping 1 or 2 ROM backups is usually enough, unless you're developing really hardcore.

Relax, I wasn't referring to you as a tard, I meant the many unsuspecting randomly chosen folks charged with road-testing early development S4's...you know, the product surveying/market research boffins.
What you did describe previously sounds a heck of a lot like a missing step here or there. I've been there often, with a phone acting wonky, until I found it was all my dumb mistakes bc I didn't bother to RTFM enough. Don't take the internet so seriously, after all the internet is full of cynical bastards like myself.

I had pretty much the exact same issues. CWM now works just fine.
There is mention that on the S4 / 4.2.2, file storage is encrypted and hidden if I remember correctly.

I got about 71 apps & now that I figured out how to get my backups on external I got a little over 8gb on internal. I can live with that. The internal memory performance is fine, it was the limited space I was griping about. Apps2SD and similar programs won't work on S4 or S3 I believe. S2 is good to go depending on ROM. I think my backing up to external problem was due to using an 8gb card for testing instead of a larger one. Once I put in a 32gb it was off to the races
You're right about the speed, the S4 blows the doors off the S2. Restoring my sms' was 10x faster. And I got a sick odex theme so I'm mostly stock but thoroughly themed.
And with Tmobile the restock fee is $50, not bad if you're not happy with the phone
So here is my issue...
I've backed up with OUDHS the first day i had the phone and without a sdcard on it... Now I cant find the backup folder and my internal storage is completely empty but when i check on the PC it has 3gb of used space! How is it possible? My only guess is that the backup is somewhere in there but i cant find it at all.... I've looked with root explorer and nothing!
Any ideas?

Depending on what rom... if your flashing something like the E989, E986 , E988 you SHOULD only have about 11gb of storage.... as those roms thinks that you only have that much as those phones are only 16gb
