So long story somewhat short, I purchased a Epic Touch 4G on Craigslist to find out that it had a bad ESN because the previous owner did not pay the bill. I searched out a possible fixes for this and found someone who flashes phones to Boost. He said he would be able to take the settings from my Evo 4G and place them on the ET4G to make it work. For the service I gave him my phone so he could flash it to Boost for himself. He set up the phone and it was sending and receiving calls, data seemed to work no problem as well. So I had him clear all the data, meid, memory ect.. from my old phone (evo) and I went on my way. I'm kind of savy about all of this, but just wanted someone else who knew what they were doing and had all the utilities to take care of it.
Anyway, upon driving around with Pandora on in the car I noticed the data would drop quite often. I looked into the settings on the phone and found that profile 1 contains a boost user as the username and it appears to have all the settings for someone else's account that uses boost. He must have copied the wrong settings onto my phone.. my original phone settings are now gone. So I don't think I have any hope of recovering the HA SPI, HA pass, AAA SPI and AAA pass. What can I do? I share a family plan with my wife, can I copy the settings from her phone onto mine? Will both phones work with the same settings, or will this cause problems? 2 phones using the same settings. I imagine it won't because apparently i'm using someone else's account for data currently. If copying her info would work, what do I need to be sure to transfer over? My understanding is NV Items 465, 466, 1192, and 1194 is all I need? I'm using the Evo > Boost and EPT4G > Boost guides to get an idea about how to do it.
Sort of long and a lot of questions. I hope someone out there can give me a little information. I guess worst case I could pick up a cheap used phone, swap to that and then swap those settings back onto the EPT4G
If he copied over the MEID, M.IP Profile 0 data, and 1192+1194 correctly from the old phone, you should be able to update profile. That will remove the incorrect Profile 1 from Boost and populate the correct Profile 1 values.
Copying the data from your wife's phone won't work.
I just activated my ET4G on Boost myself first with a incognito then xfering all the setting to the Epic Touch while back. After reading your post, my first question is do you even have a boost account, since your saying there are setting username...etc from someone else.
He doesn't use Boost. He stated he couldn't use the phone because it has a bad ESN. That means he's on Sprint.

Lets see if I can code his post, op had an evo on sprint/bought the ET bad ESN, so the guy copied the sprint EVO to the ET so that the ET will work with Sprint, and the guy kept the EVO for himself.
If that is the case then there should be no Boost info on the ET which was coped from the Evo how that info got there is a mistery since the Evo was pure Sprint.
Could he just enable Profile 0? which seems to be the sprint profile.

I have an Evo on Boost now for 2 months rooted with no problems at all. I change roms all the time, update kernels, put themes and never any problems. Yesterday there was a post to update the pri to version 1.40.
I did it and it said something about resetting the phone. It shut down and ever since then I have no 3g at all. The only way I can surf the net or go to the market place is through my wireless internet in my home. I can send/receive texts/mms/phone calls but no internet.
Also, it constantly come up with an error 67 data call failed.
Thanks guys in advance
You could try updating profile under settings and system update.. let me know if this worked.. my 3g wasnt working went to sprint and did the update and is back on..

this will reset ALL data profile information on your phone. it will then reboot and reload all said information by re-provisioning your phone.
if you do not know your msl, call sprint tech support and ask nicely for it. they will usually give it to you. if not, hang up and call back. or just tell them you have no data and want to re-provision your phone and they will walk you through what i just did.
as a side note, sometimes this error pops up, for no good reason and goes away after a while. my guess is in your situation this isn't the case. you had a hiccup that's easily fixed.

Thank you for trying to help I really do appreciate it, but I don't have a sprint account I am on Boost Mobile and have been for 2 months now without any issues but this one
Could be a PRL problem? I don't know anything about getting an EVO on Boost, but I assume part of the process was downloading a PRL for Boost to connect to their towers?
Go back to the guide you followed and redo the steps.

this will still work on your phone. contact boost to get your msl. or use CDMA workshop. there is a thread in the dev section on using CDMA workshop.

What exactly will work on my phone?? and what should I do in CDMA Workshop? I have the program and I do know my MSL, so if you can explain what I should do to get back my data connection that would be great!
I tried to update the PRI and wiped my data profile for boost mobile and now without wifi on, I get error 67 data call failed
By the way, Thank you for trying to help, you guys are the best
No offense, but it really should not be that difficult if you set this up before!! I assume that you in fact did not set your EVO up on Boost, but gave it to someone else to set up, correct?
Simply refer to the original guide, or steps you took yourself to set the phone up on Boost in the first place - or give it back to the person that did it and let them fix it.

Hey Nukedukem,
No offense taken, however you might want to check your panties to see if you're getting your period. I thought this was a forum for people to help other people "do it themselves". If I, and everyone else did what you suggested, you'd be outside sitting on the curb with nothing to do. So if you have nothing nice to suggest, then I suggest you pass over my post and go "not help" someone else. Thanks
To everyone else: yes the guy that first did my phone is no longer to be found so if you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate them. Also, if a programmer can help I'm more than willing to donate.
Thanks again guys
The error 67 I think may be caused by the network rejecting your phones credentials, I had this same problem last night. The only way I could fix it was to restore a nandroid backup and then have it update my profile and PRL. You may be able to get away with just restoring the backup though, trying to update anything is most likely not a good idea since you are using a network other then what the software was written for.

Since I'm such a nice guy, I searched for you...30 seconds later I learned how to port my EVO to Boost Mobile.

Oh, and uh...try not to choke on my menorrhagia.
That method did work MONTHS ago but not now that SPRINT changed up their website your not allowed to do esn swaps anymore. I was able to do it months ago with my touch pro2 and i have an EVO now and just tried to reprogram my phone cause i had the msl code and input my boost number and msid like i did before with the touch pro2. It reseted but when i went to make a call it said account cannot be validated so had to get sprint service again. Soon as someone comes out with a VALID way of getting the EVO working on boost Im going back to them.

did u fix the problem?
it's because you have a sprint 1.4 pri and need a modified boost pri...until that is changed, no 3g for you, but seriously, there is an app that gives you your MSL code
i want some suggestion, i have flash my sprint 4g to boost. infortunately 3g is not working . idk what am doing wrong. any help will be appreciate . also a donation will be make
U need the NV items copied over from your donor phone. NV items 465, 466, 1192, 1194. Try that. Here's a link to very good info that I found: http://bittertalk.com/talk/?p=547

i already done that , the weird thing that i found was, with my donor phone which was samsung rant , NAM2 WAS BLANKSO IDK IF that have something to do because i have use the incognito on another phone before and its display information on both NAM1 AND NAM2.
Mine is also a Rant and everything works except that my speeds are 1X and not true 3 g. Also, I can't get the profile or prl to update in the settings > update. I keep getting error 67. From reading numerous sites and forums, I think the Incognito is the best donor to use. There doesn't seem to be any 3g problems listed for those donors.

I've don't many diff things, but if you plug in all the passkeys, etc., you should be able to master reset it. ##786#, menu, reset. Once it reboots, it should activate, provision itself. I have to update prls in qpst or cdma wksp. Can't get it to work on the phone.

Great news! I just redid my entire flash today line by line based on this guide posted in post #1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1182260 . I skipped over the sections for repairing the meid (since I've already done this), but completed the rest exactly. I also used the profile info from the instructions(pictures) and just changed over my NAI, HA, AAA passwords. For NAM 2, it wouldn't write it since everything was blanks, so I filled in all spaces with 0's, disable the PRL, and I was able to write the NAM2.
Rebooted and 3G is working now! no stalling or dropping and my speeds have gone from around 130kbps DL to 500kpbs. It's still not the best speeds but much better. I was also able to update the profile and prl in the settings > update section.
Hello everyone, I did a little searching and yet to find a problem or resolution similar to mines. I am not new to flashing. Everything normally ran smooth on previous phones that I did. My final product after the flash is the issue.
Flashed phone is an Evo 4g. One prior owner, a close friend who bought it new from the Sprint store. Not going into the technical details( assuming everyone knows the process). But my donor phone this time was the incognito.
Problems: I have no idea what could of happened. When I call out the number shows as private on any phone that I call. I try calling the phone, it goes to voice mail. I call out pressing *82 to see if my number appears but I always get a "Welcome to Verizon wireless, your mobile number is not active or invalid" . When I press 611 it goes to the Sprint Carrier. Sms don't work but internet does. Any guidance would be appreciated. Anyway in which I can restart from the beginning without rerooting? Or a way to bring the original esn back, I could take it from there also.
-Thanks

What rom are you using? Have you tried to update your profile and prl?
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
Yeah, sounds like you have a Verizon prl or you are roaming, try updating it.
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
Or, a Sprint PRL with enabled roaming.
Don't have the phone with me but a basic recovery rom (forgot the name) while rooting, updated to mikg sense rom, downgraded radios, flashed then received those issues, did a recovery from nand back up, issues still there. I'm not home yet, but i'll try to update the prl. I also thought it was one if those you guys stated. The other forum thinks that I screwed a middle step up and gave me some software( haven't tried it yet). But i'll update later.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
I believe that you are correct it's running off of roaming. Don't know why I get verizon error though.. But sadly I found where I went wrong. I fcked a middle step up. Only 9/10 of the data successfully transfered to the device for some reason. My rls log shows that my esn(hex) is zero'd out. That means that the other ways involving esn to restore are now deemed useless, unless there is a way involving org. Hex or dex. I would try rewriting locations using old esn &meid locations but didn't write the esn down . Any guidance from here?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
once you write the MEID, I have always had it write the ESN for me, I have never had to restore the ESN personally. But there is a website out there that will figure out your ESN based off of your MEID. google it cause I do not remember the name of it off of the top of my head.
Yes, I was working with different software than I usually use. But yes I found a meid converter early. I now know my esn and will try to do it manually the way I stated above.

I have read through the entire thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1696621 which has helped me a lot. I noticed not suppose to ask help on that thread so I figured I start one here and you may delete my post I made on that thread.
I have a Verizon Nexus SCH-i515 I would like to get working on PagePlus. I currently have talk/text working, but no 3g. I have Verizon Paranoid Android rom, sprint FC12 CDMA radio. Using PRL 52874 provided OTA *22800.
I tried using the script for ets that AutoPrime provided on the mentioned thread above, but I do not know the HA, AAA, or Akey. I do not know how to obtain these settings. I'm assuming this is why I can't get 3g working.
I have a Droid RAZR Maxx flashed to PagePlus and I didn't need any of these settings. It was basically ##PROGRAM, set MDN, MIN, and SID, then use CDMA workshop or DFS, set EVDO to rev.a, and disable R-UIM by setting to NV only.. power on, *#*#INFO#*#* change to CDMA Auto (PRL), done.. so I don't know how to get these AAA,HA, or akey from.
Reading around some people are getting these settings from donors, but I don't have an actual PagePlus phone. If anyone can help me I'd be very happy and greatly appreciated.
Back to reading the mentioned thread above for the 5th time, see if I missed something. Thanks!
OK, seems everything I read says I need a donor phone. Can anyone tell me why I didn't need this when putting razr on page plus? Did it get all the info ota? Guess I'll have to dig up my LG dare to use as a donor, if I can.
Is it possible to swap razr and nexus esn, get the info then swap back?
AAA, HA, Akey backup??
Ok, swapped phones, now I need to find how to get Akey, AAA, and HA from the Verizon RAZR maxx... in DFS > programming > general > cave > get reports A_Key cps-error bad-param
ssd-a cps-error bad-param
ssd-b cps-error bad-param
Now under DFS > NV > read
I get 466, 580, 889, 906, 920,1192 cps-error bad-param
So this phone has 3g and works but no akey, aaa, or ha?
Is there a way to record a log of an ota on the razr maxx to get HA AAA and akey?
Also is there a way to log the nexus trying to connect to see the error message?
Razr keys
Stop trying to get the keys from the Razr; they won't help. The only AAA and HA etc. info. that will help you is that of a phone that has been activated with working 3G on Page Plus. The Razr is most likely locked up (as for the NV items), so if you think you need the 3G data, go for a cheap, easily accessible phone (LG Vortex, pretty much any Samsung, etc.).
I can live with 1x on Page Plus with my Gnex, but I don't use data that much. You get very little data on PP anyway.
Use Autoprime's script for P+, then go in and use "NV Manager" with ETS (just to be super sure everything is as it should be--I think the script put my MDN where my MSID should be actually). This got me 1x, talk and text.
I'm happy.

My RAZR maxx is on page plus with full working 3g,talk,text.. that's why I thought it would work if I swapped gnex esn to the razr, activated it, then tried to get HA/AAA then switch back.. but couldn't get them.. Did you use a donor to get 1x? What radios, rom, and prl are you using? The script for P+ requires HA/AAA ,well could be blocked off with /// but thought these were needed.
I do have a Verizon LG Dare somewhere if I can find it, could use it as a donor. Problem is finding it.
HA AAA passwords no donor
Well I've been changing so many settings that probably never needed changed. Going through every setting in ets seeing what does what. After changing some settings and pulling down some OTA via *22800 I have been able to get HA and AAA passwords without a donor. I still have no 3g data though.
Plugging phone number, HA, and AAA into AutoPrime's ets script still does not get me 1x or 3g data on pageplus. So there is still something missing on his script, something wrong on script, or maybe my phone is just glitched.
I did read somewhere that Nexus on pageplus should use profile 0, I noticed in AutoPrime's script he changes profile 1 settings. Maybe I'll try changing these around or something.

try flashing a radio thats actually for your phone if it will even work anymore after flashing one not intended for it.
I can flash Verizon radio but its not programmable. Will settings stay? Ill try that I just wrote all values to profile 0 and 1.. set 0 active no data, set 1 active no data..
My ha pass is only 9... script says 16.. should I add some 0's to the end to make it 16?
Watching this thread closely. I have a gnex I'm trying to get on page plus with 3g.

As I thought tossed on Verizon radio, settings reverted back to what SIM was programmed for. So I tossed in a blank SIM, mdn, min, etc all 0's and not changable.. so tossing Sprint radio back on unless someone knows of a Verizon radio that will accept changes.

Well if there was a guide it'd be pretty easy, but with no guide and over thousands of setting combinations, I'm just doing trial and error..
I don't think anyone at all has a Nexus on pageplus fully working.. Using a donor or not.. No one has said anything in any of the forums I read or youtube, so guessing that no one has it working. Guy above says he has 1x on pageplus, but I can't even get that, and I think he is the only one. All I have is talk/text working flawless..
There has been about 2 people that say they have the Nexus fully flashed to cricket.. but I have not attempted that as I'd rather have pageplus. If I can't get pageplus I may look into cricket and compare their speedtests with virgin mobile and flash to one of them. I have donors for VM.

Yeah Sprint Nexus is a little easier as you don't have to worry about radios, your stock radios allow programming. And since you are already Sprint you don't need to flash a sprint rom to access some on phone programming menus.
alphahere has a Sprint GNex fully working on Page Plus. These are the steps he took to get it working.
alphahere said:
1) Had a donor phone - HTC incredible, cloned all values needed to the Sprint Galaxy Nexus.
2) Modified the verizon script using the values from the HCT incredible.
3) Ran the script with ETS
4) Lastly did over the air programming with verizon (pageplus).
5) Modified the APN to work for verizon mms.

I suspect you are having the same problem I'm having. I just flashed a Sprint GNex to Page Plus a few days ago. However 3G data is not working because I used a Droid X as the donor and as I have learned in the last couple of days Motorola has their phones locked up pretty tight. I'm unable to pull the NV items needed to obtain the HA/AAA/PPP keys.
In the next few days I'm going to try and find a cheap LG or Samsung phone and use that as the donor instead.

If you are using a Verizon ROM there's a patch you need to apply. Check this post.
On a scale of 1 to 10 with romming/rooting being a five what would you guys rate flashing a Sprint gnex to page plus.

On the GNex romming/rooting is a 1. Flashing a Sprint GNex is a 5 (autoprime's ETS instructions and scripts make it easy) and pulling the data you need from a donor phone can be a 5-10 depending on which phone you use as the donor.
Once you go through the process once though it's pretty easy.

Sweet. I might give it a try. Will me Samsung Fascinate work as a donor for my Sprint gnex?

I would anticipate the Fascinate to be pretty easy to use with CDMA Workshop/QPST/QXDM. As long as you stay away from Motorola...
So I recently bought a Sprint Note 2 that was flashed to Ntelos. (dirt cheap). I was going to use it on Ntelos because thats my current carrier, but the person that had it Left it attached to his prepaid account. So now I need to bring it back to sprint and have no clue how to do so. Does anybody know or can tell me where to look? I'm running out patience looking for answers
I don't think you can. But the way I lost my flash was Odin back to stock. At least that worked on the s3

Please pardon me if this sounds dumb, but I am a newbie... I too have a Sprint Note 2. It used to be flashed to boost mobile. Now it's been flashed back to stock sprint ROM using file links and instructions right here in these forums. From what I gather, you want to go back to sprint? It's really simple. You do have the original MEID & Id ETC. right? Should be behind the battery when you remove it. I have successfully got my phone back to STOCK Sprint. It's really easy to do using TWRP and stock Sprint ROM files and DFS (there are others)...But these were the ones (programs) I used.. Read and read some more. Be patient (easier said than done..lol) you'll get it...It CAN be done...

I hope so. lol. The goofball that had it before me flashed it to ntelos and left it on the account not used, but still attached. Actually made it difficult to sell as a ntelos phone, but I have some time today to play around with it today. I was told by sprint it needs a flash back to sprint. Sad part I have no fricken clue who flashed it to begin with it that way
Well first check the sticker underneath the battery. Have you verified it can be brought back tp sprint? If its ok on sprints end using the numbers on the back then you can move further. Let us know so we can direct you.

Everything is correct. It can be activated on sprint. Ive already checked that multiple times
Ok well now you need to write the info from the sticker to the phone. You can use cdma workshop or dfs. Either program will work. You can also look at guides made for boost mobile. You can follow the guide. Instead of a donor phone you use the sticker info. Instead of changing your mmsc to boost you would change it to sprints. Either way get your msl first just in case. Use msl reader from the playstore. If it cannot read it push home. Then go to your dialer and push in ##3282# it will ahow a screen saying view or edit. Push edit. Enter a random 6 digit code. It doesnt matter what it is. It will give an error. Push home and hold it until recent tasks come up. Go to msl reader again and read the code again. It should give it to you this time.

Msl is "000000" I tried some today with no luck. Everything failed in odin. Now i'm searching again, because its either odin mode or "firmware encountered a issue. Recovery from kies and try again. But it doesnt connect to kies. Actually wount connect even before I got started.
Got the phone back on. Still on Ntelos, so now I'm back to searching on how to remove this carriers flash. Nothing I've tried has worked
Hey guys I've got a similar problem. I got a note 2 and I'm wanting to flash it to boost but I haven't been able to read the HA/AAA keys. I did a reset ##786# to remove the old sprint account and downgraded to the LJC radio but I still get the access denied error for Nv_read on 466 and 1192. Also if I call 611 I get Ntelos wireless customer service and I'm kinda lost on what to do.
I didnt feed anyone lies. I have seen it done before. On my last phone. The epic touch 4g. If it doesnt work on this phone then thats too bad. I have never needed to flash a phone to another carrier.

In all fairness I have flashed a E4GT to an MVNO and back.
Google Chris41g's Epic to Boost steps. Follow the steps in there to change back your MEID only.
Flash a stock rooted restore - in this case I'll suggest MC2 rooted restore. This sets proper CSC info.
Turn phone on and ##72786#. Let HFA go through its steps.
LTE I can't say anything on since E4GT didn't have it.
The reason I did this way is because HFA will pull the HA/AAA keys and set the profile back on its own.
You only have to do it manually when flashing to MVNO because you can't use HFA.
Sorry but that's all the details I can mention on this thread - PM with any additional questions.
