I have had this phone for a good 7 months now and never once has it rebooted but today it rebooted 2 times in a matter of 30 minutes. What could be causing this? I am running Phantom Hackers blazer rom with stock el26 kernal and el29 modem. I did not make any changes to the phone not even any new app downloads or changes in settings. What could be the problem?
Try wiping cache and dalvik in recovery . If that doesn't help all I can think is a fresh install.

Ya, I just did that I will let ya know how it goes. Thanks for the advice though. Is wiping the delvic and cache something that should be done every once in a while? I know with my evo I had to every couple days or the phone would lag down to nothing..
If you never wipe eventually ur phone will freeze.. if it doesnt work u will have to do a clean install. A clean install will work wonders if its been 7months without cleaning your phone lol no wonder its rebooting

Sounds ya me like ya got sum junk still in ur trunk. Clean install forsure should help.

The clearing of cache and delvic seemed to do the trick. It hasnt rebooted once since. Has only been a couple hours but it looks good so far.

Try wiping data/system,cache partition, and dalvik 3x and reinstall. If that doesn't work, really download the ROM. Didn't do that for me. But...check his new rom..Urban Fury...

I've used Cyanogen Mod for quite a while without issue. Then, last week my camera started force closing. So far as I knowing didn't change any settings or install an app that would mess with it. Haven't updated radios, etc...it just stopped. I've cleared the cache in apps settings, there is space on the card.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
clear cache and dalvik from recovery, and reboot. If that doesnt work, you will probably have to reflash the rom.

Shouldn't lose anything, as you are just clearing cache files. However, it can never hurt to do a backup first, only takes a couple minutes.
Ugh. I did a full wipe and upgraded to 7.1 (was on 7.0.2)...Camera is still FC'ing...again, it works with other apps (Vignette, Goggles) but not the stock camera. It worked just fine until two weeks ago...and then, nothing. No clue why. :/
Well, now it works...I did one more wipe and it just started working. Thanks!
Try fix permissions, worked for me

Ok so im having issues with the browser. On calkulins 2.8.1 i touch the browser icon and it locks me out (black screen). My work around lock and unlock until the lockscreen appears then i unlock and quickly press the home button, because if i dont it locks me out and i get a black screen! Unfortunately its happening also on the Blend rom! So as im typing this i just remembered it did not use calkulins format all zip! Could that be the issue? I personally dont think so but would lile to hear what you guys think and if you are also experiencing this issue also!! If theres already a post on this ill delete this thread!
Thanks in advance!!

If you are having it on different roms but aren't wiping between flashes that's probably your problem. Use the format all and reflash. Then report back.

Actually doing it manually i go to wipe data then wipe cache then wipe davlik you know were im going with this! But that my method i use wen i flash another rom! Im going to flash Blazer rom and flash the format all zip as of now! Will report back if this is an issue! Odd thing is no one else said they have this issue maybe i do need to flash format all zip... And i thought i knew it all lol

I have this issue on all roms I try. I've wiped everything and gone back to stock but still no luck. I opened a thread on this a while ago but no answer. My only solution was to use another browser. I use boat browser as an alternative.

Yes FLASH Calkulins format all zip and as of now im on Blazer ROM and stock browser seems to work! Maybe that format all was the key... So far so good FOR NOW THAT IS.... Hmmm will continue to test the browser functionality...

Was it just the shortcut km a home screen? Or from the drawer too? I get this problem at times on my home screen. Deleting the shortcut and making a new one usually fixes it.
No not a short cut!!.... Im reporting that the format all zip cleared that issue for me! 6hrs of testing and still no issue not complaining lol

Rule of thumb. When wiping dalvik/cash allways do it three times. I never use wipe all script and have never had an issue. Im just oldschool I guess.

if you don't format your system before flashing a new rom, you will have problems like that..
wiping cache/data/dalvik is NOT enough..you must format your system...

I'm running [ROM][28 Aug] [UVALH2 v37] XquiziT TMO ONLY!...
Whenever I turn on my phone, I get: Android is Upgrading... Starting Applications.
Although I don't think it affects the phones performance... it started happening after flashing Wildchild's ROM.
Of course, I have Wiped data, Dalvik, cache... and re-downloading, reflashing.
I also tried Wildchild's Superwipe [wipes EVERYTHING].
Some see it completely normal [SEE THIS POST], while others think it's not normal.
Any enlightening will be appreciated.
could it be updating your apps and checking for ota, abd that why it says that a boot up?
Why does it bother people so much? It isn't a big deal and it isn't affecting performance save boot up time but honestly how often does your phone boot?

It sounds like its wiping dalvik on every boot for some reason. I would try reflashing and if that doesn't work try flashing a different rom.

What? Nothing is wrong.
Well, its not exactly behaving the way that it should. Its rebuilding dalvik every boot. Not supposed to do that, so if its not acting right.......
Additionally, (and I know this isnt a very big deal, but to others it is) thats a lot of extra writing that is totally unnecessary.

I flashed and reflashed with triple wipe [internal SD/system/etc]
I guess I'll try a diff ROM. I'm just happy with the current ROM though.
Have you flashed any mods or themes?
Just a shot in the dark, but heres a couple things you could try.
Install the deodexed UVALH2 rom, see if it still happens. If it does try to use Odin to flash the pure stock (will lose root). If it still happens I would try a different release at that point, just to narrow it down.
If it stops happening try flashing xquizit over top of the full version and see if it starts again.
Something else to try is use a different recovery. If you're still up for troubleshooting at that point!
How did you update to UVALH2 in the first place? Did you flash one of the rooted versions, or did you update with the full firmware or ota via Odin?
Like I said, its a shot in the dark, but im just wondering if something happened or got left behind when you updated.

Sorry, missed that a minute ago. Can you get a logcat? Youll have to conect to your computer and run it at boot. Dont want to try to guide you through that from memory but there should be some good guides here on xda if you dont know how.

Dalvik?
This happened to me after I did a Dalvik wipe while in recovery. That is the only time it happened. For a minute, I thought I lost root. Have reboot many times and have not seen it. Mine goes to 205 applications though.

Because it happens when the phone is rebuilding caches and goes by the number of apps you yourself have installed..

pretty sure wild child's builds have the ROM fix perms each time you boot. this is the cause of this message. don't worry, you are fine.
Mine just came back to normal and i dont see it anymore. Also i think my phone boot faster than the normal.

It's usually from an odex file being put into a deodexed Rom find that file and delete it and you should be fine.

The white screen is normal, try to wipe dalvick cache, fix permissions, if you are in cwm 6.X.X.X. If you are in cwm 5.X.X.X. try the dark side wipe.

I get the white screen too, but my phone still boots up. Make sure your fully wiping before you install. You'll always get the white screen until they realize to fix it but for now dw about it. Make sure you are waiting.. the first boot takes s while and we tend to get so excited that it feels so long. Time it and if it doesn't boot up after 5 minutes then you probably have a bad download or something

Thanks for the help I actually got it to finally boot up after doing a seperate dalvick wipe and fix permissions it booted and was looking badass then I went back to install my apps from my zip backup and it wouldn't go past the white screen again n I waited 20 minutes so I tried another fresh install and nothing I'm gonna keep trying though.
