Please i need someone to assist me on how to repair my HTC desire via memory card? i have tried to update it with "RUU_HTC Desire Android 2.3 Upgrade" but its always stop at some different percentage. I even download some ROMs still could not complete the restoration. now i felt using memory card would be better.

Try download latest RUU rom and flash with USB, but You lose all data files and settings from memory phone.

I have a desire gsm. To upgrade its rom, I install hboot 0.08.0000. s-on condition.
While upgrading the rom to froyo(official release) i forgot to put my SD card & SIM inside mobile. At the end of the flashing process, an error shown in PC to do recover process. And an error shown in mobile about failed partition SD card.
After that I follow the recover process but cant turn on mobile(not even in Hboot mode)
Can any one please help me out to recover my mobile.

Run an up to date ruin. Might solve your problem. If not, send your phone off for repair or something.

I have Wildfire S with Asian firmware but i want to convert it to European one.
Can I use the Modaco's GoldCard Tool to create a goldcard and then simply flash Europe RUU?
I'm pretty sure goldcards work the same way and are universal across all android devices.

Yes, you can flash your Wildfire S and convert it to an European model.
You need a GoldCard. They are universal and work in all Wildfire S Models. Please, be aware that they don't work in all android models (for example, they don't work in HTC Sensation) but in this case, yes, they work in ALL wildfire S.
So you just need to create one goldcard.
If you try to flash the european firmware and get "CID Incorrect" error that means that you have not created the GoldCard properly.
If you get "Main Version is Older" error, you have created your GoldCard successfully but attempting to do a firmware downgrade, so your device rejected the firmware.
This can be solved flashing the Misc Partition with an earlier version number that the one you are trying to install. Please be careful flashing your Misc Partition as your device might be bricked.
You may find a tutorial in this forum about how to flash your Misc Partition.

I got a wildfire s from vodafone spain and because it's full of junk I want to install the retail rom...so I made a goldcard as explained in this forum and it seems it worked all right , I put the zip file on it (also downloaded from a link in this forum) but now if I want to flash it nothing happens
If I press volume down and power absolutely nothing happens and when I release it just boots as usual and not in download mode ....any ideas what the problem might be ?

I have a serious problem and I could not fix it with anything I tried. Today I had the notification of the official 2.3 update for desire hd. I dowloaded it then the phone is stuck at the htc logo. I tried from bootloder to make factory reset recovery and also tried to flash some roms in fastboot mode.
None of them worked.
My first choice is to get back to 2.2 froyo, but I would like to hear recommendations about custom roms, especially if you have any rom advice wihch can increase battery life etc. I am not an expert in flashing roms however I can also consider for a custom rom in the light of your suggestions. Please help it would be much appreciated.

Use the RUU and your pc to downgrade it to 2.36, it should work regardless of what you have on your phone.

let me tell you what i have done step by step.
ifound the rom below name specified.
RUU_Ace_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.36.405.8_R_Radio_12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2_release_187331_signed
i enter the bootlodaer because i can not get anywhere else. i plug in the usn then select "fastboot" and it show fastboot usb.
then i run the ruu from pc it starts to flash ( it shows current version 2.37.720.3 and will 2.36. etc. )
then black screen with white htc logo comes but nothing moves further and at the end i get the " Custome ID Error "
i do not know may be i am using the wrong rom if you can please provide another link to another rom or may be a different solution with a custom rom...
i am really stuck at this.

Customer ID error normally means you need a goldcard

i tried the godlcard solution but now it gave the error 140 bootloader version.
the only thing different than the steps it says chosee mmc2 value but on the goldcard helper i only saw mmc1 and i have sent the e-mail according to that...
what should i do?

since now the bootloader is pooched, you've pretty much bricked the device unless you can get your hands on the original ruu that your carrier uses.

Find the thread called 'How to downgrade for Revolutionary' - I will post a link when I get to a computer. Follow that guide and that will erase your phone and install a WWE ROM.
