No rom will boot after a reboot! - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Gee, I'm going crazy! Yesterday, I tried CM7(FXP117 and Nightly), and after I restored apps and set up everything, I rebooted the phone, then it stucked after boot animation, black screen.
Now I installed SE.Tweaked(Gingerbread), and it's doing the same!
What to do? Tried wiping cache, dalvik and data, but still not working! I have also tried different kernels!
Thanks for help!

Which kernel do you use?

Tried a bunch of them. Including various builds of DoomKernel.

Did you tried to flash the stock rom again?

Yeah, tried everything(kernel reflash, wiping etc.)

Try flashing a stock gb firmware with flashtool then use cwm.

Using CWM select, format /system
Thank flash a new fresh rom, with correct kernel.

Gin2JellyBean Stuck on Boot

I have installed Gin2JellyBean on my R800i, but it does not seem to work.
I have flashed DooMKerneL, and using CWM, I flashed Gin2JellyBean. I rebooted my system, and it got passed the DooMKerneL, but it always resets itself after a minute of staying on the Gin2JellyBean boot screen.
How can I fix this problem? Thanks in advance

Make sure you format the data, cache, dalvik cache, and system partitions before you ever flash any rom.
I recommend flashing the latest stock ftf firmware for your phone, reboot and reactivate your phone, then flash DooMKernel. Once you've done that, then format all that I mentioned above in the recovery, THEN flash the firmware, then reboot.

Would R800i_4.0.2.A.0.58_Enhanced.ftf be considered "stock"?
(Sorry, I can't post links yet )

Yes. Reflash stock except kernel since you flashed kernel already. Then go to cwm wipe everything and flash Rom.

Nope, still doesn't seem to work. I have tried different roms that are also build off of a Stock GB, but none of the worked, only DiXperia 2 worked, but no WiFi.

[Q] Stuck on CM10 Nightly 12/10

Is there anything I can do?
So I installed the 12/10 Nightly of CM10 and I am stuck on this ROM. After about an hour all my application force close including Trebuchet. When I reboot into recovery, TWRP 2.3.1.1, I try to restore one of my backed up ROMs. It looks as though everything goes fine on the restore, but when I reboot system, I am still on the 12/10 Nightly of CM10.
I have tried re-installing TWRP, I have tried installing a new different ROM, I have tried re-rooting using odin, I have tried un-rooting using odin, I have tried installing CWM in a zip form and pushing it by command prompts and I am just about out of all options. I have also tried to install super su and uninstall and re-install superuser, thinking it might be that and no luck there either. I am not sure what to do.
Please help if you can.

You shouldn't have too, but try formatting system before flashing.
And of course wipe cache and dalvik.
Best of luck,

Yeah I always wipe cache/dalvik, wipe system and factory reset before installing anything new.
try pulling the battery? try twrp 2.2.2.0? i had problems restoring w/ twrp 2.3.1.1. where i didn't have problems with a rom before but after restoring that same rom, i would run into rr and sod.
which cwm did you try to install? did you try sk8erwitskil's cwm? install over twrp, reboot recovery, and then install from there? if not, maybe try a different sdcard?

I always do this. Wipe factory then system then cache then dalvik in that order and never had issue. I also went back to twrp2.2.20

I have tried all versions of CWM and I have tried going back to twrp 2.2.2.0 and everytime I reboot I am still on 2.3.1.1. No matter what I do I still stuck on CM10 and twrp 2.3.1.1.
What could have happened? It seems as though nothing will flash properly.
This sounds like what happened to my 32GB SanDisk card; it turned read-only. Have you tried flashing a ROM? Maybe with CWM.

So I have read around to see what could be wrong. It sounds as though my phone is not writing to the nand. Is there anyway to fix that or no?
Have you tried restoring to stock Rom via Odin or flashing from a app that does it for you?

Stuck at HTC welcome screen after flashing kernel

Hey,
I used the 18.5 version of Shpongle with the 14.5 version of HELLBOY kernel until today.
I tried to update only the kernel today to the latest HELLBOY (21.5), so what I did I booted into recovery (TWRP), erased only cache and dalvik, and flash the new version of the kernel using cmd, with these two commands:
Code:
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
After my One V rebooted, it got stuck on the HTC welcome screen (with the red development purposes warning) and I can't get out of it, all I can do is reboot then it comes back to that screen.
What did I do wrong? Can I fix that somehow? I can't seem to go back to recovery so it feels lost...
Thank you for any help.
Might be a bad flash. Wipe everything and reflash, then try to reboot.

Turn off the phone and quickly press volume down and power on to try to get into bootloader otherwise it will turn itself back on (happened to me before when I got a bad flash). Try to get into recovery from there.

Thank you! that's what I was looking for. I was hopeless. Thanks again!
Is there something wrong with what I did to update the kernel? I kept the ROM and just deleted the cache and dalvik and then flashed the new kernel. I just don't want to lose all the data so I'm hoping to fix it without wiping everything.

No there was nothing wrong with what you did to update the kernel, you were just unlucky and got a bad flash. If it still gets stuck try reflashing the ROM, without wiping data.

Thank you for your help, it was the wrong HELLBOY version - the HELLBOY kernel MediaFire library is very confusing. I picked the CM9 kernel instead of the 42 one. Now everything's working

How can i flash kernel under Ubuntu 13.04???

Stuck at Google/flashing the wrong kenel

OK. I flashed the wrong kernel on my new Nexus 7 (2013). My stupid, I flashed the kernel (franco) for the old Nexus 7 on the new one.
Luckily, I can still access bootloader and recovery (TWP). Now it's stuck at Google (again, I can still go to bootloader and recoery).
Where can I find the stock kernel that I can use? Or Can I flash a custom kernel?
Thank you in advance and I appreciate every comment.

Have you considered trying this which will return your Nexus 7 to its original factory settings with a stock image? I haven't used this method but it may get your tablet working again. Also, for future reference, you should always make a nandroid backup before you flash something new in case you run into problems like this.
Wiping the cache/dalvik cache usually works for me when it would hang on the boot screen after a flash.

I did it but nothing changes
Do you have a ROM installed?
Try restoring to factory settings, reflashing a ROM, and then flashing the kernel. Wipe cache/dalvik once you're done and see if that works.

Try flashing the stock rooted ROM here.
To restore to factory settings, go to "Wipe" then slide the slider at the bottom of the screen.

Thanks cyberprodigy and Username invalid for helping me.
I fixed it.
After flashing 2 custom kernels (all of them were said to be completed install) but I was stuck at Google.
So I tried to flash a stock kernel (I downloaded it from here, sorry for hotlink-ing from another forum: http://droidbasement.com/asus/razor/flo/sys-backup/jb-4.3_ota-full_n7_razor-flo.zip). I will also uploaded the stock kernel file extracted from that link in case somebody needs it but doesn't want to download the whole Stock ROM.
The file extension is .img, so for people not knowing how to flash this file, use this command
"fastboot flash boot <the file name.img>"
Thanks again.
Here is the llink to the stock kernel for N7(2013). it's 16Mb so I can't attach it.

Bootloop Issue

I flashed the LZ kernel over CM10.1 Wild for the Night. I'm now stuck in a bootloop. I tried flashing the patched LZ kernel, but to no avail.
Can I just go back into Clockworkmod, wipe, and install a new ROM (preferably PACman ROM) through mounting USB storage?
If not, what other options do I have?
Thanks!
Do you have a backup that you can restore?
I read that the kernel will boot loop if you wipe cache and dalvik.

I don't have a backup, but I don't really want or need one. I can get all my stuff back in like 20 minutes. I hardly ever do any gaming.
And no, I didn't wipe anything. I just installed the kernels. I've given up on trying to install the kernel, though. I just want to install a ROM.
Will it work if I just wipe and install PACman ROM or Revolt JB through CWM?
Yep
It should long as you can boot into recovery.
