I switch from the stock battery to my 3800 every so often. Do I need to calibrate the battery gauge is any way or just not worry about it? What do all of y'all do?

Read a while back from a Google software engineer that it was pointless. I never really got any benefit from doing it either. Maybe placebo effect.

first off there are some ways to calibrate an battery without any apps..
BUT.. your battery is brand new and hasn't reached its potential yet, so calibrating is useless.
If you have battery issues, try getting an update to 4.0.2 + radio. your on XDA you'll find enough info here.
I do believe the battery gets better after a weeks use or something like that.
Or maybe you have I-just-got-a-new-toy-and-have-been-loading-it-with-apps-and-playing-with-it-all-day syndrome side effects are short battery life

Got a seido 3800 I only get like 12 hours out of it was expecting ALOT more what are other people getting my gn is stock unrooted.

Give it a couple of charge cycles before reserving judgement. How long did you get with stock battery? Maybe app related? Is your phone actually entering deep sleep? Modded roms are often much better when it comes to battery.

there is no such thing as conditioning a lithium ion battery. there is no memory effect, nor any real calibration, nor does wiping battery stats do anything as most users think there is.
wikipedia : lithium ion batteries

My buddy uses it and he said he likes it, I was wondering if anyone has used it on the Gnex? If so how did you like it and how did it perform for you? I'm always looking to save battery life any way possible.

Wanna save battery? Stay away from "battery savers"
Sent From My Toro+ via RED Tapatalk
I use it on my galaxy Nexus and I'm very satisfied. while it doesn't double the battery life it does increase the battery life by 50 percent .

Battery savers are no more than turning off your radios, such as Wi-Fi. Why do you need that? You can just easily turn them off.
One app that I DO recommend is y5. It detects whether you are close to the Wi-Fi you connected to and turn the Wi-Fi on. And turn it off when you're not near. Super handy for me!
Swyped on my Galaxy Nexus running AOKP with Franco Kernel, overclocked to 1.4GHz
I tried it and it worked good, but I switched to JuiceDefender and got more options and better battery life. Northern doubled battery life,,but they did increase it.

Is the extended battery offer shown on Sprint's website only online, or are there other ways to get it? I want to go in store to buy my Nexus, but I want the battery. I don't have to get it immediately with the phone, but I still want it. If there's any other ways so that I can get the phone, that would be great.
Also, to anyone who's gotten it, how's batter life on it compared to stock battery life?

I got it with the phone on check out use code battery1 I am pretty sure it is still valid.

This just started today. I have no idea why its happing. I have It plugged and still losing power.

Not very much information but it sounds like you have a bad battery. I'd just buy a new one considering they're pretty affordable. But before doing so get a hold of someone else's charger and see if you have the same issue.

Have you downloaded any new apps? Some apps are battery hogs

I have two battery's and an external charger for the 2nd battery still won't charge.

ok so my g/f has the same phone and i put a dead or dying battery in her phone and it was at 96% i have no idea whats going on this just started about a day or two a go. and i have not put any new apps on it.
Is it stock? If so back up your sd card to your pc and data wipe the phone. If it still does it you have a defective device.
