What us the proper way to condition the extended battery - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Got a seido 3800 I only get like 12 hours out of it was expecting ALOT more what are other people getting my gn is stock unrooted.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium

Give it a couple of charge cycles before reserving judgement. How long did you get with stock battery? Maybe app related? Is your phone actually entering deep sleep? Modded roms are often much better when it comes to battery.

Wrong section bro.
Also wanted to add, is other to get the best battery life you need to flash readbeforeyoupost.zip or usegoogle.zip or you post this question in Q&A or maybe accessories but not here.

there is no such thing as conditioning a lithium ion battery. there is no memory effect, nor any real calibration, nor does wiping battery stats do anything as most users think there is.

first off there are some ways to calibrate an battery without any apps..
BUT.. your battery is brand new and hasn't reached its potential yet, so calibrating is useless.
If you have battery issues, try getting an update to 4.0.2 + radio. your on XDA you'll find enough info here.
I do believe the battery gets better after a weeks use or something like that.

I just got mine today as well, after talking myself out of it since it's release...mainly because of lack of removable storage, signal issues, and camera quality. I'm not having any signal issues despite the fact that I live in a generally poor reception area, camera isn't as bad as I was expecting, and I think I can live without the MicroSD slot in exchange for the sheer beauty of this phone. The materials also feel nicer than I thought they would. The OS is a surprisingly big improvement over 2.3, enough that I think i'll actually wait a bit before flashing any ROM's. Very very nice...

I've had mine for a week now...
And I'm happy with it... NO CARRIER BLOAT, faster updates direct from Google, etc. I have to admit, however, that I was skeptical that it could replace my SGSII (T989) but I'm happy to say it was eBay'd this morning. And after seeing the SGSIII, I'm glad I didn't wait and I'm not looking back.
I like these threads Just got mine the other day, too. Sold an iPhone 4s and have no regrets. This is the first time I've used 4G and its great when I'm away from wifi. The ability to customize just about everything on these devices with Android won me over.

If ur phone is new u can't judge battery life immediately, give it a few days. Plus, update to 4.0.4, i was getting 4hrs on 4.0.2 and now it's over 5hrs screen on every charge, using stock 1750mAh.

Its amazing.
Fast, good support (look for yourself in android development ), good amount of accessories.
The battery is not the greatest, so that may be a problem for you. I get about 3 hours of screen on time with all 3g. So if that's enough for you, you should be fine
I personally didn't get the s3 because it was not pentaband and I'm on wind so I could only get the dual core version, so I decided to keep this until the new nexus comes out.

I think/hope he was talking about his own question.
I use auto and I have noticed a bit of eye strain after many hours of Netflix. I don't remember my One X causing so much. Maybe try 50% or 75%? CM10 and modified kernels have custom color settings you could also try.

I think it is the color shift. I noticed the same thing when I first got the Nexus. Since I moved to a new ROM plus kernel I don't have the strain anymore. I could be wrong and maybe I just got used to it but it seemed as soon as I flashed I was much happier.

It is only for Sprint though so if you have GSM or Verizon you will have to try something else.

I would rather have a user post a stupid question and learn how to do something the correctly than to have them be worried and screw up... Everyone's gotta start somewhere - none of us just magically knew how to do all of this.
Anyways, enjoy your new phone! When I got mine, the very first thing I did was unlock, flash TWRP and install AOKP. ^_^ Coming from a locked Droid X2, this is like heaven to me.
Me too! Came in the mail today as well. Have you tried wallet yet? I had a S3 and I never could get wallet to work. That's what prompted the nexus.
Have not yet any luck with it ?

It was already installed when I received the phone. I have the gsm version. If you're on Verizon, I think there is a way to get it installed. Check out the galaxy s3 forum for instructions. Just a note, I followed the instructions there before I returned the s3 and wallet never worked.
