HELP : My screen become black n white

i'm taking 4 hour to read all post in this forum..then i realize nobody has problem like me..
i'm using o2 xda 2s...my screen become black n white suddently 2 weeks ago..tried to hard reset many times still no change.
i can see all menu in my screen but only in black n white..i dont think it's LCD faulty bcoz it not have any dead pixel or any symptom that show the LCD is crack. i'm careful owner n i'm 100% sure it never slipped out from my pocket..
So i hope all pros here can help e to figure up what actually happen to my xda 2s.
p/s: cannot see my favourite video anyore bcoz of the screen..back to the year 1930s..TV with no color..

did you install or update any software on your phone and after that it happened?
Try to hardreset it (you will lose all your data on the device)

never installed any software yet..try to hard reset many times but still nothing changed! what should i do next?
ps: replying this post using my 'classic' o2 xda 2s.. just black n white in everything..

yo bro..hi...i am ameer from penang..
i have an o2 xda 11s..2 weeks ago..dunno apa jadi..my backlight cannot come up..only black/white..no colour..but the phone/pda can use but cannot see laa..
so i try and shake abit the o2..the light come..but flicker..now also the light comes...but flickering..
i guess this phone problem is the lcd light wiring problem..
please comment bro..

so your problem is light lcd only la..ok la 2..mine light ok but the screen no color..my friend always ask..y ur o2 doesn't have color? tahun berape punye o2..
but i think maybe we hv similar prob..the LCD connector pin has loose or something..
try to goncang2 n the screen also goncang.. very funny..

hi bro...i think ur problem cud be the software or settings problem....
why dun u take to a pda clinic or service centre..
mine is techical problem..i think high service charges..

Black and white from a display is 1 of 2 places being faulty.
LCD itself ( as has small decoder ic's in the LCD module ) Or the main PCB ( mainboard ) as it has the graphics chipset on it. if all screens are black and white including boot up logo/splash, bootloder, and main windows mobile then one of those 2 are most likely at fault

how do i know which one is faulty?

Screen panel after repair

Sorry for making a new thread but i didn't know where to post this!
My one x screen developed yellow spots so i took my phone for service.
When i got my phone back i noticed that the new screen is not as bright as before and is a bit yellowish older one was whiter.
After doing some research here on xda i thought my previous screen was an Acer made and this new one from Sharp.
All the images i looked at where simillar to ones posted from the Sharp panel.
I then decided to look at last_ksmg.txt but it proved me worng it is 0x4940014 the Acer panel.
My question is since the panel is changed will the correct one be disaplyed on the last_ksmg log?
Never checked that before i took my phone for service so don't know...

Update
I just discovered that after the repair i know have the infamus Wifi problem!
My wifi wasn't perfect before but not bad either.
Now at work where i previously had wifi my signal comes and goes and on internet at all :crying:
Well back to repair center monday morning!

Update 2
Its defently the Acer panel now the glue has dried yellow tint is gone...Don't know what my last panel was but this is miles better feels like getting a new phone...now only the wifi to fix!

I will buy a used Xperia S but i am afread from the yellow spot on screen!

Tomorrow i am going to buy a Xperia S, i can test all hardware parts over 1 thing that i saw people say that when they play hard games for like 30 muinits they got yellow spot on the screen...
When i will buy the phone i can test it for just some muinits and i can't play on it for 30 minits to see that if yellow spot will apear or no.
How to know if the phone have that problem with less that 5 muinits​?

im playng on my xperia S and sometime longer then 30 min. and i dont see any yellow spot

My xs has the yellow tint, it took about 2 month to start as well but got mine from new. It's like it burns the screen, if you get chance to check one just check it on a white background, you will be able to see it almost straight away

It was only the first lot that had the issue. Its since been fixed. So find out how old it is

I had the yellow tint problem. It occurs in certain phones when they get warm - the screen gets a sort of yellow cloud which then disappears when the phone cools done.
As far as I know this issue, as others have said, has been resolved and is only present in the very first Xperia S phones manufactured. I don't think you'll be able to find out if this problem happens in your phone in just 5 minutes unless you put the phone somewhere very hot.
I was able to return my phone for one without the yellow tint. Make sure you buy it from somewhere reputable and keep your receipt!

It is a problem of all Xperia S before 8 week of merchandise. Also my phone has this problem. In Italy is possible to change the screen, in warranty, with the only spedition cost. The screen works good, the only problem is the tiny yellow color. But your phone has all its functionalities

Ooh ****... i hope that the phone will not have that problem because here in syria there is no warrently.​

black screen...

My One X display has just completely died. It just gives a black screen. When pressing the power button, the phone does turn off and on because it vibrates, gives the start up melody and the touch buttons light up. But the screen is black.
please help...

Did you unlock the bootloader? If not, your warranty is still good and they can fix the problem in a store. If you did unlock the bootloader, there is a slight chance they won't notice it anyway. I am fairly certain that this is a hardware issue, but could you tell me what you did with it before the problem occurred?

yes i unlock my bootloader and i have blade rom and xm kernel
yesterday
i was playing dead trigger and my battery temperature was 57!!!
and today screen is black but everything works
like sound and .....
the screen is black
so i think they cant aware i unlocked the bootloader

Your English is just fine. Hmm, my battery got hotter than that millions of times and there was no damage to the screen. I think I can't be of further assistance here because I'm almost 100% sure that it's a hardware fault. But could you just try to boot it into the bootloader and see if the display works there? Just to be sure. If it doesn't, I think you'll have to send it in for a repair :/ . Where are you from? There is a chance that they will fix it for free if you are in the European Union. Maybe some other countries have the same policy too.

[Q} Dead pixel return policy ?

So after 2 days of use i was playing with the camera in a dark room and i noticed one dead pixel at the bottom left side of the screen ...:crying:
No i've bought the phone unlock from three but unlocked the bootloader would i still be able te return the phone ?

Soooo after flashing Virtuous Six the spot disappeared ?
