Anyone have this problem? No matter what I do, screen stays black. No vibrate, no samsung logo, no recovery, no download mode.
Battery is fully charged, all I did was reboot the phone and it turned off and stayed off. Pulled the battery and reinserted, still nothing.
Anyone? Help?
are you able to boot into CWR or Download mode for Odin?
if so then just flash a new ROM and full Wipe
I can't get to anything. Just stays black. When I plug it into my computer, it shows up as something called QHSUSB_DLOAD
Did a little research. I think you are straight up bricked. That sucks.
Did you have it rooted or anything? You might want to call samsung and get it replaced it fixed. You could always try a jig
what rom were you on?

So my Xperia Play (CDMA) has been fine until earlier today, i had the phone on, but then when i try to wake the device, it won't wake, but the device is still on cause cause some buttons cause vibration and the back light is on, just nothing on the screen.
so i go to reboot the device, now i can't even get it turn on. i hold down the power button and it briefly starts up (no boot screen) then the led flashes green/pink/blue then stops trying, back light stays on. i keep trying still same thing. can't even get it into fastboot mode. the battery is fully charged (plugged it into a charger.) and I was last using fxp cm9 rom with lupus kernel.
after repeatedly unplugging device, removing battery, i got it to display the battery charging screen. but when trying to get out of that screen i get the whole not turning on thing again. and i should say i can tell the back light is on.
once in a while it will connect to the computer and then i can access the logcat, which is right here: http://pastebin.com/FiJFrEGE
the only thing that causes entries to write to the log is by opening/closing the touchpad.
I am very confused what the whole green/pink/blue led light is about, and why this issue is happening, is it kernel related, rom related, or hardware related, i have no idea. i'd appreciate any help i can get on this or if anyone else has had this issue. thanks.
Try flashing a stock FTF from flashtool. Might make things go back to normal.....
When I was using CM9 I use the included FXP kernel, so maybe thats why you're having a problem. Or perhaps the Lupus kernel you flashed was a GB build opposed to ICS.
Flash stock FTF an re try.
Thanks for the replies, I'll try to install a stock ftf. Also I do know which lupus kernel is which at the moment I'm running the cm10 blend with jb lupus kernel since i got the device to boot after x tries.

I was trying out using a keyboard with a cheap USB OTG cable, and all was good. Then all of the sudden the screen went buggy, where ever other line of pixels was shifted to the left or the right, almost like some sort of corrupted video file. It started to reboot itself, and it got to the black screen with the Google logo and then the screen fuzzed in the same way as before. It then starts to reboot and does the same thing over and over again. I find that I can get to the recovery screen with the scroll arrows. From there, if I tell it to reboot into recovery it goes back into the same Google logo bootloop. I then went back to the original recovery screen and I decide to try out adb to see if it works. Sure enough it does, and I unwisely start flashing a stock 4.2 bootloader image. However, while it is flashing the screen does the same fuzz thing and and stays fuzzed. Then it doesn't respond to anything. I take out the battery, and try to restart and with will not turn on at all, no vibration, no light from the screen, nothing. I tried a unbricking methods from there, and nothing can make it come back alive. Any ideas?

Running stock unrooted 4.2 that I flashed manually

I tried flashing the Zeus kernel using CWM, but I failed to realize the kernel was for the Verizon S3. When I restarted after flashing, it displayed the Samsung logo for a split second and then went to a black screen. The screen was on, but it only showed black. At this point I passed out, and when I woke up it was still on the black screen. I pulled the battery and tried to restart, and got the same black screen. Then I tried every way I know of (except using a jig) to get into download mode to no avail. Now when I turn it on, it vibrates once, flashes the logo, and then the screen shuts off and is useless. I think there's a solid chance I've ruined it this time, but if anybody has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Put the phone in dl mode. It's possible the screen will be black and you can't actually see it's in dl mode. Plug into your computer. Odin flash a stock Rom.
The fact that it's doing something means it is not completely ruined. It just may be harder to restore to working order.

I need help. I installed a new ROM (Parandroid 4.6) and now I just can't get into recovery, and Im stuck without Gapps. When I do it manually It just gets stuck in a black screen, and the blue led is on. If I do it through the power menu it just reboots manually.
I hope someone can help me, its urgent.

You can not enter always into recovery. Then just change your Rom or do it with pc
