[Q] Is anyone sending their HOX back to Handtec - HTC One X

The reason I am asking this is that so far my experience with them imo is horrendous.
I bought my HOX on Handtec via google checkout without any problems and received it on 05th April.
On 8th April I contacted Handtec informing them of a dead pixel on the screen, usual automated response, then a few days later I had to fill in a return form and email it to them.
No contact for over a week so I emailed them again, it was like groundhog day as I had to complete another return form and once again nothing from them again.
I find myself emailing them now every couple of day but still they don't reply and am no closer to a fully working product.
What is your experience of them?

Yep, just got a reply now from Handtec.co.uk (what are they doing up at this time!):
"Thank you for your email,
The HTC Desire sim free release date has now been slightly postponed, this is in response to confirmation from HTC that the release of this product will not be the previously mentioned 29th March but will be anytime between now and the 7th April,
I do apologise for this delay however this will not only affect Handtec however will affect all UK retailers as this has been imposed by HTC directly, however once the stock arrives we will promptly dispatch the goods,
Please advise if we can assist you further."

That's funny, then how has mine been despatched by T-Mobile and they actually have them in?
Or is this just the retail / sim free units?

I thought the same, but their response to me made reference to sim free versions being delayed. No idea why this would be. Gutted really.
I got an e-mail from T-Mobile, saying mine has already shipped.
Supposedly it should reach me tomorrow (Saturday).
Clove sent me an email this afternoon too saying more or less the same thing. They emphasized that the unlocked/sim free version is delayed though, that's probably why the T-Mobile ones are shipping out no problem. Just a guess about that last one though.

Yeah I got the same from Clove back to the 7th
A little annoying but I will just have to put up with the hd2 for another week or so I guess. Cant complain to much.. Just returned to its original release date. Also received the mail from Clove at about half 5-6ish..
I guess it goes to show the pushing power the networks have when they want the hardware to go to them first.
That the main thing that frustrates me... I'm willing to pay £400 for the device but have to wait an extra week or so for the pleasure. Ahhh well I'm sure I will live..
Now I have nothing to look forward to...besides Easter egg hunting bwahaha

Yeah I hope the first shipment is bigger than expected. I ordered mine from Clove and they already told me that mine will be shipped from the second lot. That was supposed to be on 2nd April (3 days later) so I will probably have to wait until the 10th to get mine shipped
Still, it's nice of them to keep us informed. Many places I have pre-ordered from in the past (particularly from Hong Kong) just keep you in the dark when due-dates change. That is the reason I won't deal with Expansys any more (not to mention their over-inflated prices).
Well, to those of you who went the carrier route, I think you're obligated to get reviews up IMMEDIATELY so those of us who are waiting have something to look at
Does anyone know if HTC provided a reason for the delay? If it's to fix a bug I'm more than happy to wait a little longer...

I'm from Belgium and here the shops have announced the 6th of April as release date although at some point they were mentioning 1st or 2nd of April...

Pretty annoying. Was getting really excited already, now gotta wait a whole lot longer. As I only recently pre ordered may be even longer till I get it....

Expansys UK and UAE are saying that they will have it in 4 days aka April 1...
Could they have pre-release stock like T-mobile?
When I heard about this on Saturday I was gutted and immediately assumed that HTC were putting the network carriers ahead of their direct customers, but if the Coolsmartphone report is correct then all is forgiven and I'd rather wait and let the HTC engineers work their magic.
From reading the posts on here of issues found by T-mobile folks who have received their phones already then it appears to me that they are mirroring the issues that were reported of early Desire ROMs, and if these are fixed in the phone I eventually receive then I'll be a contented bunny. In fact I'd even give HTC a big thumbs up to have the "spuds" to risk upsetting their fanbase by delaying launch to ensure that those of us forking out the full ~£400 for the Desire receive the best quality product possible.
However with people reporting issues, so unnerving me about the phone I'm going to get, and others saying it's fab so turning me green with envy, I might just have to give these forums a miss for the next week or so to keep my sanity!

Desire backlog in Belgium

For information:
Having ordered my Desire on July 9th, I just received an email that there's a serious backlog and it won't be delivered before August 11th.
Either there's some sort of production problem (display shortage?), indeed a backlog because of the huge popularity or it's maybe linked to the Froyo updates they want to perform before shipping.

don't know, got mine the first day the silver desire came out
I think it's an issue with the display. Samsung are unable to supply enough screens to meet their own demand and HTCs as well. HTC are now switching from the OLED screen to a new SLCD. Maybe you'll be getting this new screen with your Desire.
I'll have to wait longer

Where did you order from? I ordered mine from PDAshop.be. Just checked and they have the brown one in stock. Order it today and you get it delivered free tomorrow

I walked into my local phone store last week and asked fro a Desire on my contract (Upgrade was due!) the guy just went to the back and got one for me.
Loving the phone.

I can't say I'm happy with all this but my D2 still workds like a charm.
I got it in my hands on September 15th!!!
Wow, that took way too long. Did you get any sort of compensation or discount as a good will gesture? Still, I imagine you're glad to finally get the Desire.

Samsung Accessory shipping woes

I ordered a bluetooth headset, TPU case, stand with extra battery, and some textiles on Nov 28th using the 50% off code. I got the shipping notification on the 29th. On December 6th I called into Samsung because UPS shows they never received the package. They submitted a lost package tracer that same day with UPS. It's now the 12th and still nothing. I called Samsung back and they said they did not get anything back from UPS yet and that she would talk to the manager when he/she is in. Of course they hope to get back to me by the end of the week... I've waited 14 days for my order to get here and the end isn't in site yet. My patience is starting to wane.
In the mean time is anyone else experiencing shipping issues with their orders?
be patient, sometimes this stuff happens. I know it sucks. This is one reason I do not like to order online. I enjoy being able to go into a store to find what I want and walk out with it.

I feel your pain, but at least you were able to order the pieces you wanted. Everything I want is backordered and I can't place the order with my coupon until/unless they are in stock.
My order took forever too, give it some time.

Unfortunately a couple items are still on back order but I decided to order what I could anyways and hope that the coupon is not a one time use since it allows up to 10 items.
I ordered from Samsung using the 50% off and they took my order on a wednesday at 5:00pm and I had it Monday at 8:00am (would of been here Saturday but UPS doesn't do residential on Saturdays..*****es:silly
Anyways I had a great experience with them and plan on placing another order within the next week. There is another thread on here somewhere and a TON of members placed several orders and all did fine. I think you just unfortunately were part of a F' up. It's how Samsung handles it from here that determines it.
Got a call from UPS today researching the issue. As far as they are concerned I never got the package and they never shipped it. They are contacting Samsung about it.

I just ordered the Smart Dock (yep they are in stock now) and the Desktop dock (with audio out) and the coupon code worked for my second order (yay!). I'll have to laugh if this order gets here before my order I submitted last month.

Argh! Samsung finally gave me a resolution. They cancelled the order and refunded my money. I was wondering why they didn't just ship it out. Then I went back in to order the stuff that got cancelled and the Black TPU case was on back order... reason found. To bad they didn't decide this earlier in the day so I could of had everything sent in one order instead of two. Oh well hopefully I'll at least get the orders this time.

I second this.. They have always been very very late, and always with the same excuse of being over loaded with orders.. DONT TAKE ORDERS IF YOU CANT FULFILL IT..
They refused to refund me in previous orders, simply they say you can't cancel after few hours of placing the order, but they CAN be late with no one questioning them..
I'll admit that I've had issues with getting my items delivered in a timely manner, but it still always comes.Two weeks ago I filed a warranty claim with them because I accidentally peeled a huge chunk off and it was approved so I just had to pay $6 for shipping and processing and haven't heard back yet after making the payment.
It sucks because their wraps are pretty good and easy-ish to install. lol
I can agree. Whenever they have a huge sale posted expect not to get your stuff for at least 2-3 weeks.

Yeah I will never order from slickwraps. 1st and last order took almost a month.
I get mine from eBay with sopiguard. Order one for every phone and it's here within a few days.
After opening a case with paypal they also did not react for a week or so. Then they offered a tracking ID to another part of the country to another name / address to delay, I suppose. Personally, I will stay away from them.

I'm waiting on one from them too. Only did it because I was ordering a computer skin too. I always say I won't order from them again but their custom skins ? the second Dbrand starts making custom skins I'll never order another slickwraps...
The best part is mine has said it's been shipped on the 22nd, but still shows it hasn't moved from their location.

Used to purchase skins from both dbrand and Slickwraps. Don't face any major issue with both of them.
The last skins bought from Slickwraps was for note9, during Christmas holiday, slightly slower processing time than it used to be but not an issue.

I was able to get my order from slickwraps it did take 3 weeks tho. But I did receive it.
Mine is way over a month now - got nothing so far (not even a tracking link / shipment verification). Also, no answers from support.

I have been using slickwraps since oneplus 2 never had any issues with the product or shipments, although they can take a little more time when they have any discount sales going on. "Ripping off" indicates they will take your money and won't send anything in return, i guess that's not the case here.
I ordered 2 items back in April from #Slickwraps, got an email on 4/22/19 my order has shipped....and has not arrived yet. All tracking says they are in Kansas and have been there since 4/22/19. I ordered a custom skin from #Skinit on Saturday and it is in transit now. Arrival should be tomorrow. I don't know what is up with #Slickwraps but I think I am done with them.
Can't go wrong with PhantomSkinz.

Yeah, I bought my first slickwrap for my s10+. Took 8 days to ship, but I was ok with that. However the wrap itself did not fit my phone around the whole edge. The camera cutout was fine, but both wraps were too large. It was a waste of money in my opinion.

Yup I ordered two different ones for my opo 7pro. Said 4-6 business days to ship. Was like 3 weeks like you said and I also filed a PayPal claim for both hope they get us our money back!
