[Q] [Fixed] Help! Cannot Send SMS with any ROM!

Hey xda,
My Desire has stopped sending sms's since i installed MIUI-AU 1.6.10 - used many ROMS before but never had this issue.
The first time i switched to MIUI i followed the instruction to flash the corresponding *.DX.zip file before flashing the ROM [see their site] which i did, then flashed the rom - all seemed ok and since then every time i send an sms to any number, from contacts/manually typed or what have you it gives an error - 'message not sent'
Since then, ive switched to the updated MIUI-AU,MIUI 1.6.17 (running currently), RCMix..whatver is their latest build - and im sure the issue will come back with any other rom.
Now obviously following all instructions and all i must have skipped something that is causing this..
Before flashing miui 1.6.17 i wiped everything and my SD card is setup for A2sd with the right partitions and extentions
Im running a CM7 HBoot if that matters.
If anyone has a clue please let me know here - im happy to provide any more information...cheers
Fixed: Guys if you ever get into the Messaging settings>Advanced>SMS Message Centre..don't change the default number stored there - i just called up my provider (Telstra) and they gave me the correct number to use and now everything is back to normal

Did you try to get the settings from your provider? You could try to reset them if you have got an account for the internet portal of your provider. You could also try to call them.
I don't know if you need special settings for every provider, but you can try this.

Thanks for the reply - phones here in AUS will normally get the settings as soon as you insert the SIM card but because i had deliberately messed with the sms message centre number i had to ring them to get that...your post got me thinking what i had changed and it just made sense

[Q] GPS Fix in TW ROM (Phoenix 15.7)

Sorry for posting this here, but I lost my account and I can´t post this on the specific thread (Phoenix ROM)
After flashing a custom ROM, my gps is no longer locking, and I tried pretty much everything.
Then I wanted to try this:

Thought I post this method on a different way to get GPS back from flashing from different ROMs. When I lost it, a fresh Odin install did not fix GPS. Basically nothing worked; clear maps data, Google. Servicesframework, tightening all my screws, gps fix it apps, etc.. Tried them all.

But when I press send after the code I get the error "Connection problem or invalid MMI code". I searched for this and everybody says that this problem appears when you are not using a Touchwiz Dialer, but I am (Phoenix ROM is TW based)
Do you guys have any suggestions on what to do?

[Q] SIM/RUIM Card is Locked

I was recently playing with some of the Samsung Galaxy Secret Codes and appear to have entered one that locked my SIM (see attached screenshot). The phone still works, but I have to enter the unlock pin every time I reboot the phone. I've searched all over and tried many different things (including the *#0011# menu) and nothing seems to work. Recently did a factory reset and took it into the Sprint store to reflash the software and still getting the message. Is there a code I can enter to get to an unlock screen? Please advise.

you have just set PIN on your sim , you can always disable it, i believe the option is in settings - security - sim lock. btw it is always wise to use a PIN unless you forget it!! plus this related to your service provider and flashing and resetting the cell won't work , if the sim is locked by a PIN it will always ask for it even when you put it in a different cell.

Yeah, its a security implemented on the SIM card not on your phone.

I have not found an option anywhere in the phone to disable the SIM lock. Please advise.

[Q] So Weird Problemm !!!

Hallo im new Here so Sorry If this has been posted before , but ive searched the entire google And Nothing!!!
I Have Sgh i747 at&t , I Moved To Lebanon ( and Unlocked It to use Sim Card in Lebanon)
Then I rooted It and Installed CM ROM
The Last Rom Ive Been Using was CM 10.2...
All Was Going Great !
After That I moved To Germany , ive put Flight Mode In the Plane
When I was in the airport i deactivated the Fight Mode AND !!! it Began Bootlooping over and over again
No Matter What CM ROM i Flash they always led to the Same Bootloops ( first it starts normally , i can unlock the screen but then it freezes and starts rebooting and so on )
I Dont Want to Go Back To The STOCK 4.1.1 ROM ( so bad )
Please Any Suggestions Would Be greatly appreciated
( Yes i wiped Dalvik/cache/ system and everything )

Install the latest version of Philz Touch and install Carbon Kit Kat or Validus Kit Kat to see if that solves the problem.
You should also make sure your bootloader is at least 4.1.2.

I Have Updated To Paranoid Rom ( Kitkat version )
The rebooting is solved
but now i put my Sim Card( from Germany ) , and the phone asks the Pin Code, I Put The Pin But Nothing Happens and SIM Card is Not Activated ! !!!

Did you try changing the network settings like GSM, WCDMA, etc.?

I have searched the whole cell but only found (2G-3G-LTE)
can u tell how can I change the network type in paranoid ROM?

Hi!
In Paranoid Android, look at System Settings --> Security --> Set up SIM card lock. See if the Lock SIM card checkbox is activated. You might be able to deactivate the required PIN input in order to use the phone if you know you SIM card PIN.

Can't access USSD on AOSPAL

I've been using AOSPAL for a few months and I am attempting to access T-Mobile's USSD to unlock my phone . However, its just says "USSD Code Running," and it takes me back to dialer. Do I have to go back into LG Stock UI and use the USSD codes or theres a fix for it? Also Im concerned about if I flash another ROM or restore my back up, would my phone still be unlocked?
