Power GLaDOS Kernel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hey, guys.
Recently, the GLaDOS Kernel -> overclock problem solving have been.
so, i'm glados control app -> overclock conducted.
my galaxy nexus -> max overclock : 1.8Ghz.
2.1Ghz Is possible.
But do not last long.
I'd like to suggest to you.
glados kerenl is very good. the best kernel.

Just recently flashed glados for the first time and loving it

Hi,
Like I said on RootzW you're the first!
It's crazy and congratulations for the higher CPU frequency I'v seen for a Gnex
Yes this kernel+the app are awesome!
You should specify that it is with Smartreflex disable and all device can't handle these high frequencies...
It will take me to begin to test above my "little" 1.63Ghz...
This kernel is a beast...and your phone also

GLaDOS has been amazing for me everyone talks about this kernel and that kernel but none compare to the advances in GLaDOS imo it stands alone at the top of the pack. Ezekeel is a great developer his work and devotion to the Galaxy Nexus and his GLaDOS kernel is second to none. Congrats on the 2.1 GHz

Will have to agree with all comments here on GladOS. I've been running it since rooting my GNex, and it's been rock solid stable, fast, and the battery life is awesome using Wheatley. Ezekeel is a great dev, and definitely deserves some more limelight.

My phone crashes at 1.6 which is the highest setting on the cdma version (I don't have the glados app yet)

In the current version does not work properly.
To rise to 1.6Ghz,
as follows:
Create init.d tweak.
------------------------------
# SmartReflex
echo "0" > /sys/kernel/debug/smartreflex/sr_mpu/autocomp
echo "0" > /sys/kernel/debug/smartreflex/sr_core/autocomp
echo "0" > /sys/kernel/debug/smartreflex/sr_iva/autocomp
#default 1

I was surprised at develoid.
In my phone freeze happens 1.65Ghz

reached 1920 mhz cpu oc without problems!at 2.1 freeze all...at 2 ghz freeze when benchmarked..very good find, also if in normal situation 1400 goes well, without go with higher mhz.but for a flashaolic extreeme overclocker like me it's the best to see that with smartreflex disabled with liveoc i can reach same oc step that htc devices with quallcomm cpu.gnex and omap4 rocks!

is dhd overclocked at 1.036ghz?

hi all,
i've just bought a new dhd so this is going to be a very noob question ^^'
i tried to search but in many posts i've found "overclocked to 1.036ghz" so i can't really understand if the dhd is overclocked at that frequency or if it is his "natural" max frequency.
i want to use setcpu to only set the smartass governor, so the question is: am i overclocking when setting the max frequency to 1.036ghz?
Thanks in advance.

it´s a little bit oveclocked
u know that DHD works at 1ghz... +36 mhz its not a big thing... but its overclocked....
normally the processor by default works between 940-990 more or less...really its underclocked...again a little bit,,,
i don't understand fully, sorry
i'm using leedroid too.. how is it possible that there is no native frequency available? i can just only overclock or underclock a bit?
does it depend on the kernel i am using?
i don't want to overclock but i even don't want to _under_clock ^^'
thanks!

use the leedroid parameters by default...
leedroid was selected this parameters sure because with this features DHD works better...(combined with his rom or recommended roms for his kernel of course)
errr overclocked a bit....I think the phrase you are looking for is "clock speed is just that"
the Scorpion Processor is billed as a 1ghz, cos 1.036 ghz processor sounds stupid.

yes this is what i supposed but i still see various answer types in this thread too
on leedroid rom thread they said that the nominal frequency is 1024mhz but leedroid kernel steps 12mhz above or ~30mhz below.
i think someone with setcpu and stock kernel should just check that in a second

why is there a problem with these 12 mhz? 12 mhz is NOTHING.
usually i have my phone at 1.3 ghz and never happened anything
it's not a problem (i hope since oc may vary from piece to piece) i was just curious about those clock speeds

Cyanogen 1.8ghz
Underclocked and still better than stock. Runs great at 768mhz. No complaints.
Maximum overclock on stock CM7 kernel (~1.5ghz).
I did some tests with the CM7 Nightly 3. I got some amazing scores:
Stock cpu speed:
1.2GHz:
1.45GHz:
1.6GHz:
1.7 and 1.8GHz gave me lower scores than 1.6GHz, so I guess its safe to say 1.6Ghz is the max stable speed.
can't wait to hit cm7 and push it now !!!
Running miui at 1.49ghtz.

Interestingly, after some tweaking, messing around, and other stuff, I managed to score over 2200 at 768mhz. I'm getting some nice smooth performance out of it while underclocked, and getting it to do things quicker means it'll save that much more battery.

I'm not really sure, to be honest. I was mostly tweaking personal preferences, then messing with governors on the CPU. While comparing governors, the number kept climbing until it broke 2200 then fell back to just under 2200. I double checked my CPU clock settings to make sure I was still at 768mhz. I haven't really done any further testing. I suspect part of it may be JIT optimizations, but I'm not sure.

Yea I was messing around with the different govenors after reading your post and I noticed a big difference between the power saver and ONdemand. Power saver makes the transitions a little sluggish but I guess that's to be expected for what it's trying to do. lol All in all though the battery life on ondemand is leaps and bounds ahead of the stock ROM I'm running a 1.1ghz clock right now and it is like butter with battery life to boot.

I guess that's what I get for trying, but I did say to limit this to E4GT only, so the SGS2 with the 7700+ doesn't count.
I will also state I ran mine exactly the same way I run it every day, with widgets running and such. SO I will go back and tweak what I can and see what I get. At the time, though, I thought it was cool.

Pardon me, I misread.
So how about some advice and pointers? Your RAM is one thing that is killing me, and if I were able to get 1650-1700MHz I figure the CPU figures will help themselves. My read/write is dead on with yours. So what do I do to get to those speeds and that much free RAM? I am running Tegrak as well. And other than the zedomax kernel and root, everything else is stock.

I don't trust any kernel that isn't based off of stock pulled at this point. I have social hub, media hub, and all the drm apps frozen. I think I have the odexed nociq mod but that might've gone away when I had to revert to a nandroid backup not sure. Don't use a live wallpaper.. That's about all I can think of really. Every phone is different so we could have the exact same setup and get different scores.

If you guys want to up your scores a bit, try this:
- Create a backup (however you backup your phone, CWM, etc.)
- Using Root Explorer, go to: system/lib/egl and delete the whole first line in egl.cfg (that ends with the word 'android') so that only the line under it with your GPU name is still there.
- Reboot.
- Run Quadrant again. Should get better FPS and a bit higher of a score.

I was hoping that wasn't true, lol.
I know these benchmarks don't really mean much but it is still nice to see a higher score.
I'm using Liquid Rom Beta 4 and Franco.kernel 16.2, and when using CPU benchmarks, including on Quadrant, Antutu and Linpack, for some reason, it's horribly slow and gets really bad scores. My Quadrant score was in the one thousands because the CPU score alone dragged it down. I'm gonna try Leankernel, then if that doesn't work, I'll switch back to AOKP. Does anyone else know anything else about this?

In last two day I've tested like 5 kernel ,this is my consideration and result
- battery : Franco kernel ( its 98 threadshot and sample rate make this better battery kernel ,with interactive smooth
-performance : FuguMod ,its is simple best performance kernel followed by all-in kernel like air kernel
Generally : now I'm using trinity its the best ,its colour mod is perfect I like this a lot
