Cm7 overlocked to 1497
30 minutes or so later...and yes my crappy digital cameras clock is wrong

Cyanogen 1.8ghz

Underclocked and still better than stock. Runs great at 768mhz. No complaints.

Maximum overclock on stock CM7 kernel (~1.5ghz).

I did some tests with the CM7 Nightly 3. I got some amazing scores:
Stock cpu speed:
1.2GHz:
1.45GHz:
1.6GHz:
1.7 and 1.8GHz gave me lower scores than 1.6GHz, so I guess its safe to say 1.6Ghz is the max stable speed.

can't wait to hit cm7 and push it now !!!

Im running cm7 nightly 3 at 1.8 (and tested at 1.6) I am only around 2800 how are y'all getting up to 3500?

Interestingly, after some tweaking, messing around, and other stuff, I managed to score over 2200 at 768mhz. I'm getting some nice smooth performance out of it while underclocked, and getting it to do things quicker means it'll save that much more battery.

I'm not really sure, to be honest. I was mostly tweaking personal preferences, then messing with governors on the CPU. While comparing governors, the number kept climbing until it broke 2200 then fell back to just under 2200. I double checked my CPU clock settings to make sure I was still at 768mhz. I haven't really done any further testing. I suspect part of it may be JIT optimizations, but I'm not sure.

Yea I was messing around with the different govenors after reading your post and I noticed a big difference between the power saver and ONdemand. Power saver makes the transitions a little sluggish but I guess that's to be expected for what it's trying to do. lol All in all though the battery life on ondemand is leaps and bounds ahead of the stock ROM I'm running a 1.1ghz clock right now and it is like butter with battery life to boot.

[Benchmark] Results for all ROMs

State your ROM w/version, your CPU in GHz, and your kernel (if changed)...
HTC Incredible 2 - Stock OTA (Gingerbread 2.3.3):
Linpack: 42 Mflops
Quadrant: 1550
Sunspider: 3,350 ms
HTC Incredible 2 - Stock (Froyo 2.2.1):
Linpack: 37 Mflops
Quadrant: 1550
Sunspider: 6,200 ms
About: I could not find an official Incredible 2 benchmark thread. Now that ROM development is progressing, why not start one? So many comments are made about how fast a ROM feels, and I know that raw numbers don't completely convey this, but a comparison would still be beneficial. Please do three runs of each, and average them.
The main 3 benchmarks I'll start with is Linpack, Quadrant (both apps), and Sunspider (web browser JS benchmark).

HTC Bliss 3.5.
Quadrant- 1450
Linpack- Around 40

Its like cars man. People like numbers. Its kind of a **** stretching competition. My phones faster than yours, my phone has more Ghz.

This OP stated nothing about overclocking, just how different ROMs ran in comparison.

That's insane for the Dinc2. I'm looking forward to a conservative overclock on a stable AOSP rom once I can get one. CM7, or OMFGB. I've had problems with OMFGB though so I went back to stock.
I've seen 49 Mflops linpack at 1.5GHz.

Unoffical AOKP ICS, aerovans 10.5 kernel. OC'd at 1.5Ghz
Quadrant: 2291
Linpack: 44 Mflops
Sunspider: Wasnt working, so no result

What about comparing performance implies OC'ing? If you want to compare 2 cars do you have to increase their horsepower first? To me this thread is more about comparing benchmarks on different roms with similar clock speeds (OC or not) to allow people to get an idea of how one might compare to another performance wise.

*Edit* kHz not ghz.... I would be holding records probably for decades if not over a century if my phone was overclocked to 1.1million ghz. Lol

Pretty sure its been proven benchmarks are useless in measuring phone performance.

They surely aren't "useless" but they don't mean everything. If a phone gets a 2000 quadrant score it most likely will outperform a phone that gets 1500.

If I post that I got a 2500 how do you know what I have going on with my phone? That is my point and the point of people who have called out scores. I can leave the phone completely bare with nothing going on and OC it well beyond comfort level just to get a higher score.

But that's the fun in overclocking....seeing what you can get out of it. I used to be a big PC overclocker as well.

That's true. You just have to take benchmarks with a grain of salt and look at the other info given. If it doesn't look right then there's probably something up.

What is everyone's problem? If the guy wants to have a thread of benchmarks, and you aren't interested, skip the ****ing thread and read something else. I, for one, would find some interest in a thread like this. On the flip side, I don't have any reason to read the thread about flashing other radios, but I also don't post in the thread saying the OP is stupid for creating the thread.
With that being said - maybe people can add a brief statement regarding if the rom they are posting about has been running on their phone for a while (ie, loaded with daily apps) or if it is a clean load.

just wondering what you guys are getting for clock speeds on your galaxy nexus, im successfully running 1.65 Ghz using franco's #18.2, stable and random reboot free, i would love to hear yours

Weird I'm having trouble uploading from my app. But its 1450 mV for 1.65 and 1.6 1400 mV for 1500. i haven't done any undervolting yet, i dont want to mess with the stability, mainly because im happy my phone even runs on 1.65.

I myself not so concern about battery life loss from CPU OC as long as the screen is still consuming 50% of it everyday...

meh, i have a extended battery, get decent battery life and have an extra, so im not worried. and its not like im at a constant 1.6, im happy with it so far gonna use it for a few days and see how it goes

To the person who said they don't care when the screen takes 50%....
That makes no sense on why not to care about battery loss from overclocking.

Thats how I rooted my phone and installed my rom. All googling, literally had no idea how to root or install a rom. Didn't even know any of the terminology.
Overclocking seems to be a bit more risky. I've tried googling a tutorial/beginners guide would be amazing.
What kernel are you guys using and where can I find it?

i noticed this too, i was gonna ask but i figured since all phones are different, it didnt really matter, but who the hell am i to say, your the expert...

I don't play the benchmark game, but ignoring your i/o score, your CPU score which an overclock would address is lower than stock 1.2ghz.

benchmarked ROMS: stock GB v. leaked ICS v. CM9 v. CM9+HO!NO! kernel

I wanted to see how each current rom stacks up in a comparison, all roms were installed fresh- data wiped and all. i could not get the test to run with the HO!NO! kernel at full clock, even though my phone handles everything else fine at full clock.
each test was run 2x on each rom.

Hmm.. LG's ICS looks very promising for future custom ROMs/Kernals. Nice comparison.

yes, antutu. i think it's OK, benchmarks are what they are but I figure it should provide a generally good comparison. the only app installed on each rom was antutu and for cm9, gapps 3/17.

this comparison is not a speedy demon test, i've done that and posted that previously, I can achieve those results you posted with the stock gb killing processes and much more to get the phone in drag strip mode.
this is simply an attempt to compare ROMS on a generally = footing.

The speed is very promising hands down. you cant go any higher than that speed? i know that every processor has its own share of DNA, but i would assume most would stop at 1.8

I'm running stock Bell ROM and OC to 1836MHz with HO!NO! kernel & I get 7605 in Antutu without killing anything. So what's the point of running ICS?

1. Benchmarks are not everything. 2. ICS improvements mainly come from its ui hardware acceleration and if you used it you would see the point of running ics. Its significantly smoother than gb ever was and it manages memory better.

Correct for smoother, I experienced ICS for 2 days b4 went back to GB. For memory, I don't know about it's management mechanism but I saw it used more memory.

funny that my nitro hd in stock2.3.5 scores 5647 total but get 1522 on gpu what is a lot.But i dont know why i get really bad I/O (430) i think its cuz the sd card is class 2 16 gb wich is slow.

My setup:
CleanBean v2.1 / master chef's magnificent kernel spr-02212013_0046 / CrossBreeder 3.15.13_v2
I have about 15 apps downloaded from the market. I did install the volume.db mod, sound 50% increase mod but no hosts modifications (besides whatever crossbreeder comes with). Stock SD card that came with my Evo 3D. ondemand gov w/ cfq scheduler.
I ran Quadrant 2 times, got roughly the same score +/- 50 , nothing drastic.

Most defiantly going to the graveyard.. not to mention, benchmarks prove nothing. Real world performance is what truly shows how good your phone is.
