i have found these two usb jigs on ebay...prices of both are pretty different so pls guide me which one should i order?????these are the links-->>>

2.http://www.ebay.in/itm/Micro-USB-Do...alaxy-S-S2-Omnia-/120788082178#ht_2330wt_1139
both the same thing, cheapest imho.
As GoNz0 sad take the cheapest.
It's not more then a 300K Resistor that is connected to pin 4 and 5 of the USB plug.
Also, make sure you really need one. Since ICS you don't need one to remove the infamous yellow triangle.

Yes, I'm talking about TriangleAway. I haven't heard about anyone who had trouble with the app - I think the warning is quite a bit exaggerated.

Don't think so off the bat. But you can always flash the older bootloader from Intratech's Official i9100 Firmwares thread then use the jig. Then flash the new bootloader back, but that's not really needed.
Why do you want spend Rs 355 on a usb jig when you can get the same thing for Rs 199 on ebay.in?
Or you can pay Rs 235 for a faster delivery
Here are the links:-
http://www.ebay.in/itm/Micro-USB-JI...8?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_203&hash=item256f2490fa
http://www.ebay.in/itm/Micro-USB-JI...8?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_203&hash=item256ee70884
And yes they work with both gingerbread and ICS if you want to get your phone into download mode
In case you want to reset the counter or remove the triangle you might need to flash an old bootloader in order to make the jig work
It takes less than a minute to flash an old bootloader so I dont think that it is a problem really especially because you don't lose any of your data

LMFAO ha +1 made my day. Still, I think it must be hard to drop to this level of brain capacity.
Just for my own curiosity, I read somewhere that to get rid of the yellow triangle from flashing with odin, you can use one of the One-Click odin's back to stock to clear the triangle because it will replace the bootloader.
Does anyone know if this applies to just the GB roms and is it just EK30 or will EL29 work as well?

Thanks, that's what I thought. It doesn't make sense for a GB user to have to flash over to ICS just to use the triangle away and then back. Plus, some folks shouldn't be anywhere near ICS to begin with.

The jig is great. I ended up with a homemade one after purchasing an E4GT from an XDA poster and I use it all the time. However I do keep a copy of triangle away in my gmail box so I can access it anytime I'm away from home and need to get rid of the triangle and reset the counter.

Ok so long story short my S3 is hard bricked. This was my first try at doing my own root and rom install. Im not sure where I messed up at.
1. I got a toolkit from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1746682
2. Backed up all system files with the toolkit, and saved pics to my computer.
3. downloaded oden and clockworks restore (cant remember the name)
4. did factory reset
5. cleared cache
6. then installed the S3 rom I got from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1663656
I followed all the instructions as best I could and it still messed up. is there anything I can do to reset it back to default??
Nothing comes on. no lights, no screen, no sound. only thing I get is if I take out the battery and plug it up i get a led light for about 12 secs.

I know on my old Samsung Vibrant (Galaxy S) it was practically impossible to brick the phone completely. You could always access download mode to restore the ROM using ODIN.
How to enter download mode on Samsung Galaxy S3
Volume down ,home, and power until the warning.
http://youtu.be/0BJlfbZNB-I
Please note I have no experience flashing ROMs on the S3 as of yet. I plan to flash the new OTA update with root already injected tomorrow.
The first time I flashed a ROM using ODIN, it screwed up somehow and of course the phone didn't work. I was freaking at that point. Then I read about download mode and was able to flash the ROM successfully.
Your best option is jtag. I flashed an incorrect rom and had to replace the main board on my SGS3 as the jtag didn't work for me.
If you're in the USA this is the person to go to, they are linked everywhere on xda

It's from the international section, anything from the international section will brick our phones, they are completely different, they have 4 cores and 1gb ram, we have 2 cores and 2gb ram. The only roms that are safe to flash are the ones in the T-Mobile galaxy s3 section
You can give it all the drugs and sex you want but the only thing that will help it is a jtag

ok thankx alot. So from checking the net my options are to pay 60$ for a jtag, play dumb for t mobile and get it replaced since they wont be able to turn it on. or buy a new phone. Is there any cons to the t mobile rote? I mean what are the chances of it biting my in the rear?
Personally I would get it jtaged. Rather than have Tmobile take care of your mess up and passing the cost on to the rest of their consumers.

Firstly thank you in advance to anyone who takes time out to help me fix this problem.
I have searched high and low for an answer both here and abroad but I have not been able to find anything that addresses non-stock recovery and yellow triangles.
I have an Epic 4G Touch running CM9 with CWM. A couple of days ago I noticed that my charge port was giving me issues and I had to place the connector in just the right way to get it to charge. Now it has become a large issue where it will barely charge.
TL;DR: I have insurance and need to figure out how to get back to stock everything, remove the yellow triangle (without USB jig) and make it look like the phone has had nothing but stock.
Thank you again!
That's cheating.

Depending on which modem they are running...
I'd suggest;
Use triangle away, flash an older official stock tar with mobile odin, (wont matter with current modem since they can be mixed since they're running cm9) then let the ota take it to official latest.
But I'm betting op has done something by now.

It does really work. But there are chances for it to brick if you lose power to the phone. Battery dies, if falls and battery falls out, power button issues. Other than that, it won't brick you. They also put that warning on there so someone can't blame the dev if they did something to f**k their phone up. Its a universal disclaimer thar tells people to be careful.

The cool thing about download mode is that there is no special time to release the buttons, it should just boot up to download mode.
Once you think you're in download mode
Click the volume down once again.
(This should be done while connected to a PC running ODIN)
Check to see that Odin has recognized your phone. Stick the stock unrooted ROM in the PDA section of Odin and flash away.

Also you would have success with MHL on stock. Aosp ROMs don't have quite the success stock does with MHL

Hello!!
Thank you for answering this thread. I apologize for any newbie mistakes.
I have a TMobile Galaxy S3 that is rooted. Recently, I broke my screen. It is completely black. The touch screen feature still works, as does the rest of the phone. I need to get the phone warranty ready. I've got an mhl cable and can view the screen on my TV. I got triangle away from the play store ($2.50, totally worth it if I can get the phone fixed). I was able to run it using my TV and good aim on the touch screen.
I down loaded Odin 3.07 and the firmware from Sammobile.
If I connect the phone into the computer, I have to disconnect it from the TV.
I'm having trouble reaching download mode blind. That is, I don't know if I've reached it and I can't tell if Odin sees it.
Could someone please give me a step by step to get into d/l mode?
How long should I hold the buttons down for?
When should I feel a buzz? How many buzzes?
when should I hit volume down?up?
How long should I wait for Odin to recognize?
I read somewhere that the Superuser app can unroot for you as long as you use triangle to reset the binary counter. Is this true?
Thank you, for all your help!:fingers-crossed:
