Hey guys my phone is on 2.3.3 and I didn't have any problems for the longest time then all the sudden for the last week every time I try to go into the market or check my e-mail my phone keeps asking me to log in to gmail, I don't know what is causing this but its annoying since I use 2 step verification on my gmail to keep going in and making a new password for my phone every day.

I'm experiencing a weird problem recieving my emails. It's just a regular pop3 account and I've set it up a bunch of times in the past so i have absolutely no idea why it is not coming in correctly.
It started happening recently after I flashed from WM5 to VP3G's 3.62.3 ROM and i have recently flashed Faria's R-32 Clean ROM after first flashing the offical ATT Rom and it is still doing it.
when I first create the account (which i have done like 6 times now) the messages all come in, but after the initial setup it has a real tough time pulling new messages off the server, and is not really pulling any new messages off the server. It seems to be working REAL slowly too, like every step of checking messages seems to be hanging for a real long time. Even when i manually tell it to stop the send/receive it stays in "disconnecting" for a good minute or two...
any thoughts?
thought i'd give it 1 bump...still no joy
I started asking about this at PPCGeeks but no one is helping so thought I would check here. I would post up a link but I keep getting a 'server is to busy at the moment' message
I'm not sure what the problem is. Everything worked fine on my Verizon Touch Pro and it worked out fine initially on my Verizon Touch Pro 2. Now i'm not sure what changed but it stopped automatically syncing. If I hit send/receive to do it manually it works SOMETIMES. I felt like the data connection was closing too soon for it to download the messages because one time I checked and the emails all had the error 'will download next time phone send/receive data' or soemthing like that but my 'disconnect after' setting is set to 1 minute, that's what i used on my TP and i think its pretty normal setting anyway. I reset my phone and it worked maybe twice then it stops.
Its really frustrating because I'm not going to remember to check my email constantly and having it set to send/receive automatically every hour was a great balance of being updated and saving battery life.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP
Looks like they disabled searching for a while and i finally got through

Hey guys,
I got my Gingerbread update last night, 2.3.3, bringing the HTC software version to 2.42.405.2 - however every few seconds I get a pop-up saying that android.process.acore has stopped. As I understand it from the (admittedly small) bit of research I've done, this contains the contacts database - and it crashing means I can't use the phone, people or messaging apps, so my phone right now is a glorified browser and twitter client, with a camera and an annoying popup every few seconds.
I've contacted HTC support but I don't hold my breath for anything more useful than a hard reset - if they tell me to do this then I may as well get a new phone (I was planning to anyway, so may just bring that plan forward).
Some solutions I've read involve removing the account that the contacts database is associated with, but I keep my contacts on the phone, and though I have a Google account set up, it won't sync my contacts anymore because of this problem (I know this because a friend changed her number the other day and when I view the contacts on gmail, it still says her old number, which I deleted. If I try to remove the google account, the phone tells me it's needed and I would need to factory reset my phone to do so.
I am NOT prepared to factory reset my phone to fix this issue - the same way I would not be prepared to format my harddrive to fix most issues. I'm going to try and backup my contacts to my pc in the meantime, but is there anyone out there who can help me?
Hi everyone,
I have a new issue for you guys and maybe you can help me. I cannot find any information on my push delay issue. I am wondering if it might be related to random reboots and whether I should return my device for another. Anyway I have a very large delay with gmail push notifications. My galaxy s3 instantly gets emails when they arrive, but my nexus 7 can take anywhere between 10mins to 30mins to get that same email. Same with marking it as read if I have seen it on my phone. It happens whether it is sleeping or screen on and wifi connected the whole time. I can be browsing the web and my push email will not come. Is anyone experiencing this issue with theirs? As I am typing this my nexus has still not seen an email that came in 15 minutes ago to my nexus - Last gmail sync was 20 minutes ago with screen on and off periodically.
I am updated to JSS15Q and am not ready to root the device yet. My SGS3 is on PA 3.99 and works flawlessly with push. On another note, I am getting random reboots during sleep or use - just like many other people as well who have returned their devices to get one that doesn't do it. It is very annoying - considering returning the device soon, but I've already installed a bunch of things on it.
Thanks for the help!
Edit, it has now been over 12 hours and Gmail has not synchronized. It shows yesterday afternoon as last time of sync, while the account itself shows synced in the morning. The only things that synced in the morning are calendar and app data. 12 hours later I have like 15 new emails on my phone and Asus transformer, but nothing on the nexus. All sync is on in Gmail and settings. Wifi was on the entire night and I was downloading something too overnight, which finished. I kept the screen on all night so the tablet couldn't sleep. No emails. Any ideas?
Regarding Gmail: did you try removing the account and setting it up again?
Regarding the reboot: I haven't find solution yet:

Thanks for the reply. It seems I have somehow sorted out the issues. For fixing gmail, I did a factory reset and just put everything back on as well as all of my gmail accounts. Seems to be working with push ever since! However, I still had random reboots. I seemed to notice that they happened mostly when I was using chrome beta, so I froze chrome beta and started using chrome. No reboots for 209 hours and 40 minutes now! Going strong although I shall *knock on wood*. So if anyone else has either of these issues I recommend trying to remove chrome beta as it fixed reboots for me and possibly also doing a factory reset - even battery life improved after that with same apps reinstalled.
I have had my SGN2 for over 2 years but today it started waking up breifly with the screen coming on with vibration. This is very annoying because it happens every 10 minutes like clockwork, but there is no notification and I am unable to tell what is causing it. I have not installed any new Apps recently but it is like something is pinging my phone. I do updates manually to keep anything unwanted from being installed and I don’t trust Google with unlimited access. Just before this started, I tried to update some of my installed apps and before I could update anything I got a message from Google Play with a New HUGE TOS which, of course, I didnt read. I tried udating without agreeing but it would not allow me to do so. I need to know if it is Google Play or if not them, what is accessing my phone without my “known” permission? I know Google wants access to everything on “it’s” phone but I don’t like the idea of giving up my privacy and this would be a deal breaker for me if Google now insist that it can “frisk me” every 10 minutes. Is anyone else having this problem or possibly know how I can find out what exactly is causing these continous unwanted intrusions?
I think I found what was causing the problem. Even though I dont use texting or even have a text plan I noticed that I had a spam text message wanting me to reply about a bank account(not mine)and it would cause the phone to come on/vibrate every 10 minutes until the message was deleted
