I just got back from my local AT&T store. I have a guy in there that I go to normally. He's well connected and knows his Windows Phones. He's been a fan since it's release.
He just told me that at his Training Meeting with Nokia a few days ago, they verifed with him that Tango WILL be coming to the Lumia 900, and Titan II. He said Nokia told him it's already been approved by AT&T and should be rolling out shortly. He said the impression he got was about a month.
I did not hear if other Windows Phones will be getting it too, but I would hope so since they are going to these lengths to get it approved.
Of course, I only have his word, but like I said, he's been a safe source of info in the past for me.
Tango is already installed on my wife's cyan 900 that she just picked up today.

That's cool. Mine does not have it. I pre-ordered direct from ATT and I've got 7.10.8112.7 installed. Checked Zune for updates, and nothing. What OS version do you have?

No clue. I went with her to the the att store here, we picked up a brand new cyan 900, and there it is - tango pre installed.
OS Version on the phone is 7.10.8112.7
When browsing the Marketplace with her phone, I do see it listed in there as well. I also see it on my focus. Just downloaded it on my focus and was able to make a video call from my phone to hers.

they're actually publicly calling it "refresh" the last i heard
also the mainstream public is only expected to know "windows phone" since all phones (so far) get major updates there's no need for joe schmoe to know which build they're really running.
i hope tango improves on the hspa+ / LTE handoff as mine loves dropping down to hspa+ whenever possible (which isn't bad i guess, i have been getting stellar battery life so far) it doesn't like to jump to LTE as quickly as i'd like.

Still wondering if someone can answer this question for me. You also list that you sent this post from your Lumia 900 on T-Mobile.
Do you happen to get 3G on your Lumia 900 in the states? Haven't been able to find out an answer to this question from anyone. Also what Lumia 900 did you use? (AT&T, or Rogers Canada). Last but not least where were you able to find an unlock code?

Don't know if this is the right place or not.
I was going to stay with at&t at the launch because they always have awesome phones from htc and all. But now that they no longer have unlimited data and i am getting a new plan too. So now as long as Verizon keeps their unlimited data, I will be going with them.
Only question is what Devices are going to be out for verizon. I keep seeing at&t for alot of them.
I love HTC, like the new look of the dell lightning but don't know what's going where. I have been out of the whole phone changes for a little bit. Kind of hard to catch up. I still have an htc touch pro. I want a full querty keyboard for one, I want the wp7, and now I am going to be stuck with what comes out with Verizon. Any ideas or help would be great.
Trying to figure out some ideas now, if there are any.
Verizon is also rumored to go to tiered data, so don't count on them having unlimited data plans for long
i know that much. There was an article that said it wasn't till 4g comes out. that's not till jan or so.

There was just the big Dell leak to I think it was engadget and Conflipper had access to the info (roms?) for the HTC devices. Other stuff hasn't been leaked yet so we'll have to wait and see. We obviously know that Samsung and LG are going to be shipping devices since they've been producing test hardware for MSFT already but we don't know exactly what/where/when they're gonna release.
Looks like Sprint or T-Mobile will be your only choices left for Unlimited Data by the time WP7 is out. :/

The key to the news is that those are all "launch" partners. So I would guess that SE is coming, just a bit tardy to the party. I can't see them going with Symbian, Maemo, or anything else over WP7.

I had gone to Verizon store to get a new sim card for my Razr. As the rep was trying to swap my sim, i asked the rep if the nexus is available. She said not this week, but i should be able to get this next week. I asked her how much it will cost me on contract, she said 299.99$.
I asked if she had a demo that i can play with, she said yes and gave me one from the back counter.
So folks here it is, next week we are getting the galaxy nexus..yaaay..

I can confirm this. Went into radio shack and they had a galaxy Nexus that they let me play with. They said I could not turn it on but I verified it had Verizon branding and everything! They said it was supposed to be released today but was delayed because of Verizon's 4g outage! !!!

lol they can definitely turn it on. I played with one for about 10 minutes in the Verizon store today, on 4G.

The company I work for is a direct partner with Google. They were in our office today for a quarterly update. While they were here they gave a free unlocked Galaxy Nexus to the client leads of the top 3 (highest ad spend) accounts. Luckily I was one of the 3.
I am coming from the Samsung Galaxy S2. Right now I have to say that I am surprised at how similar the two phones actually are. But I am loving the full ICS experience found on the Nexus.
Anyway, just wanted to share my story. I'm excited to see how the development section for this phone turns out.

Yeah, I live in Denver. It's funny you said that. One of the guys who won one is on Verizon and he tried to activate it with them. Verizon said it wouldn't work on their network. He asked Google if he could swap his unlocked GN for a Verizon GN and they told him they didn't have any with them or at headquarters.

Interesting. I just texted my coworker to get in contact with one of our reps at the Mountain View location to see if they can swap it out. The reps that visited us were 'positive' they didn't have any Verizon version on hand.

Haha I've actually acquired about 10 of them over the past couple of years. Unfortunately, this is my favorite one to date. I have a few black ones and red ones I don't wear if anyone wants them. One medium and the rest are larges.
I actually have a LTE version that I want to swap for a GSM one. I have T-Mobile and signing up for a Verizon plan would cost me over $20 a month extra. PM'ing you. I'm still debating going with Verizon, if only to keep the 32GB of space.

I'm just curious because I don't trust my own carrier at all, they have a tendency to screw things up royally all the time. (last time I bought a phone from them was the HTC Dream) and that was a huge mess with the entire cannot dial 911 with data enabled forcing an entire legal issue and a mandatory patch or suspension of service. Since then I've happily owned a Nexus One (shipped from Google) for the past two wonderful years.
Can anybody confirm that Rogers has not stuck their dirty fingers inside our dear Galaxy Nexus? (no bloatware, no Rogers Logo on boot, etc etc)
also this isn't a deal breaker but I'm just wondering if it's yakju or not.

I've done a lot of searching around the forums to know that yakju or not I can live with it, I know that it should be clean and not branded at all, but it's my life long experience with Rogers that has conditioned me never to assume the best with this company...
yet the reason I stay is because they do provide one of the best services in Toronto. Nothing would make me happier to pay $30 for voice and data with Wind or Mobilicity but truth be told, reliability is more important even if it costs 3 times more...

This might not mean anything but my friend got his from Fido and he said that it has no bloatware from them so perhaps its a sign that Rogers decided to not put anything on there.
Got my Rogers Gnex on tues. Pure stock experience; no Rogers bloat.

Sorry to get off topic, but I've been on Rogers for years (like you, ordered a N1 from google) but my service of late was ****. Dropped called, dropping out of 3g, slow, slow internet and no service while my co-workers were chatting away on their phones. I thought my phone was defective by I looked on howard forums and there's tons of people having issues. Long story short I broke my contract and moved to virgin so I could get the GN right away. The service is SO MUCH BETTER! It was the best $200 I ever spent.
If you've got a good plan with rogers, fair enough, but I assure you, their service is not longer the best.
I've had mine 2 days with rogers..it's awesome.just get volume +, and I hope we get 4.02 soon,bell / virgin started yesterday

I just picked mine up within the last hour and so far everything is sweet.
Just a question i have though, for OTA updates does a popup show in the notification bar or am I suppose to go look manually to see if updates are available on a site or something?
I have same question...i think it notifies if you reboot, or go into"about phone"and click on system updates, and it verifies. Nothing yet, but I hope to get it soon

I won too! I have had the device for a little under a week but just don't know what to do with it since I've got the G2. Sell it, keep it, I just don't know!

I actually sold it pretty cheaply. I really had no good use for it and sadly my girlfriend is all over the fruit train, lol.

You got yours pretty quick, I am still in the 6-8 week waiting phase. They said they will send shipping info once it ships. Did they do that for you? And did you send them any info before hand?

Yeah, they made me sign an affidavit and all that jazz. It took about 2 weeks to verify and I had the phone within another 2 weeks. They'll send you a shipping confirmation email.

Congrats on winning,I won too. I have 2 questions. The first is the verification come in two weeks or the shipping info. I filled out the form and got a confirmation two days after. That came two weeks ago. So should the shipping info becoming soon?
The second is what color did you get it in? Because I want to order a case.
