Anybody from Singapore who has successfully done a 1 for 1 replacement?
I sent my phone last Tuesday, April 3rd, because there was a blue patch in the screen. It was approved for replacement. However, it will take 2-3 weeks because of stock shortage.
I am not sure if this is an excuse only. But two to three weeks is unacceptable.
Your thoughts, please.

got the phone last tuesday..
i got my replacement phone today.. impossible for them to be out of stock.. this is a FLAGSHIP model..
Which Telco would that be?
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
Not sure if Telco (Starhub / Singtel / M1) would matter because the replacement phones will come from distributor.
In my case, SIS.
They shouldn't take 2-3 weeks, that's just plain unreasonable.
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using xda premium
There's a chance it can go out of stock imo. I notice starhub and m1 removed the phone from their online store. Galaxy note and s2 did at a time went out of stock as well. Just bad luck I think. Just bang the table when u got it back and insist they extend the warranty!
Great advise. Thanks!

do request that they return the phone and inform them that u still intent to replace the phone and will do so in 2 weeks when the stock arrives.. make sure they give u written confirmation that they will allow the replacement when the stock arrives.. if they refuse, tell them that u want a refund for the phone..

dude you need to check other threads first and ask there rather then just making new threads. this subject has already been spoken about. it is apparently about a 2 week wait for them to ship/for buyer to receive item and they dont really update you well on the status
Just be patient. I ordered from first batch. Took a week but I had no issues.

Got mine from them - no problems at all...
No problems here..the phone froze when I first booted it up and required a battery pull (just a bug in the early ICS builds I assume)...updated, rooted, and no problems since.
I ordered mine from there the last time around. It took a while to show up (seemed like forever!), but it did show. And I've been happily ever after since.
Got mine from them. I bought last minute so mine was last to ship. Was a UK Korean model. Some earlier batches that shipped from them were from china but other than not getting a Chinese one, it was brand new. Seal wasn't even broken. They just take forever. Don't cry when you don't get amazon service and you will get a very good deal.

Order it on Tuesday. Got it Wednesday morning .. that's with overnight shipping, they have free two day if you sign up for Amazon prime .. I only paid $626

If i get a replacement from samsung, roughly how long would it be before i recieved the phone back?
For anyone who has any sort of experience with this, your feedback would be greatly appreciated

Thru the warranty they send you the phone overnighrt. Usually you'll get it by the next day or the day after. Then after you receive it you send your defective phone via the same box the new one arrived.

Why would you send the phone to Samsung, when you can have it replaced much quicker through T-mobile? It doesn't matter where you bought it as long as you're a T-mobile customer.

You can only get a replacement through T-mobile if you have their insurance plan, otherwise you have to go through the manufacturer. You're **** out of luck if you don't have a receipt though. They don't care about the manufacture date on the phone, only the receipt.

Um no. If you bought from t mobile and chose to not take their insurance you still have a one year warranty rhat can be claimed. Through Tmobile by either calling csr reps, online chat or going to the store. Whomever told you otherwisenis misinformed.

Hi,
I'm eagerly awaiting delivery of my Media Link HD - but not heard a word out of P4U yet....has anyone else heard anything?
Danny
There being shipped 24th April
Sent from my LT26i using XDA
I was wondering, does this work with any tv? Since some tv's have limited codec's (like my sony HX923) this could be a dealbreaker for me.
As far as I know it's simple HDMI connection, so works with any HDMI TV.
I was told up to 28 days after the phone was delivered at release

Yeah same here mate, havent heard from them buggers. They first said that within 28 days and i emailed them last week about this and they said I'll get AFTER 28 days of the delivery. I've never had a good experience with them.
Spoke to them Saturday and they said all orders even if not a pre order would get it within 28 days from.contract start date. I would imagine we will see them a week or two after release which I'm led to believe is the 24th April.

And it's all in black.

Where did you guys order it from? I can't seem to find it anywhere?
I changed this into a my progress thread. I have verizon and insurance.
I tested everything on the phone over a 24hr period. And here is progress.
Still using phone 2 as of now.
Phone 1 - random reboots.
Phone 2 - proximity sensor failure, vertical banding
Phone 3 - 2-3 screen purple, loses full signal and data then comes back. Few times a day. Basically like a ping out. Timeout. Whatever.
Phone 4 - coming tomorrow 8-15 maybe this one will be good!
Phone four is good so far! No data drops. Good screen. Korean model.

question is, i'm ocd about my phones, they say its a refurb and they don't know if its been used and has gone over a 100 point inspection. but has the screen ever been touched and such? scratched etc.??
im sending back because i have issues with proximity sensor in the phone and defect screen.
this is going to be my third replacement, my second however i did within the 14 days of buying the phone so they gave me a new one off the shelf.

i'm just worried that i'm going to get a phone worse off then my current. since there are so many bad ones out there, and i've heard of horror stories of refurb nexus's on youtube and such.
I would trust a refurb from Verizon over a new unit. They're all tested thoroughly and any parts replaced are new...
You would think that however there are tons of people who go through more then four replacements trying to get a good one from Verizon. There are videos of un boxing and having issues from first power on.

You have 5 days or so to ship the faulty phone back upon receiving your new phone. They pay for the shipping both ways. If it is faulty just tell them you have already wiped data etc....battery pull blah blah blah so they don't make u do it and you aren't tied up on the phone. So glad I pay the $6.99 for TEC from asurion on both my lines. This process the few times I have had to do it is relatively painless.

90% of warranty exchanges are garbage.
If T-Mobile stopped caring the Galaxy S3 Pebble Blue 16 GB and replaced it with the Titanium Grey version; and a manager said the warranty replacement is on backorder; and the Pebble Blue hasn't been in stock for at least 2 months, does that mean I will still get a Pebble Blue one since it was my original phone?

My bet is you will still end up with blue. Maybe out of stock for new but I'm sure there are plenty of rebuilt ones for warranty replacement. Usually when you return a phone it goes to a rebuild factory and get a few things replaced like charger port and power button and things like that. and than they use those for replacement. Of cause I'm not talking about "recent purchase" but warranty replacement. Keep us posted.

He was told that they are out of stock on refurbished blue s3's. They don't give new phones for warranty replacements so they wouldn't have told him their inventory on them. This happened to me with my s2. They were out of refurbished black ones so they sent me a brand new white one. It depends on how long it is going to take for them to get you the original color/how far backordered they are.

I didn't care for the blue ...so . but they lady told me as far as she knew the white was out of stock and they only had the gray or blue but blue was backordered. I must have gotten the. Dang, but the silver lining might be that you get a T999L model as warranty replacement due to their inability to provide a T999 model. Just have to wait until April to receive your replacement phone.

They sent my phone to me on the 21st. I got a bad IMEI and I still cannot get it unblocked. They told me 48 hrs on 3/21, 24 hrs on 3/23, and then 24 hrs on 3/25. Sounds like they cannot do jack for me. I have to wait till like 6pm ET tomorrow if not, call and get them to send me another phone and I sent this POS back to T-Mobile. My parents are pissed that T-Mobile is treating my like crap. $400 for an S3 that I paid out of pocket from work during the summer down the drain. Bad luck for the college student, smh.
