I am not 100% sure if this is specific to the rom I am running or not. But I am trying to disable all notification sounds from being played through my bluetooth headset, all I want to hear is call audio.
I am running Juggarnaut 5.0 and I have not tested this on the stock rom. If anyone has any suggests... thanks.

The only thing you can do is lower your notification volume in settings.

Anyone figure this out yet? My one main annoyance with the phone is this....
In CM10 there is an option for silent when connected to a2dp and headphones. guessing aokp is the same.

That's what it does. It silences the handset speaker (if chosen) while connected to headset or a2dp. It just gives you the choice to silence the handset or choose vibrate.

I am also plagued by this problem but I cannot find any such option. Using CM10 A7.
Also if anybody knows a way to make the lowest volume quieter, everybody can hear my calls even on the lowest volume!
:bump:
sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but I'm running CM10 stable on a Verizon GSIII, and cannot for the life of me find the option to stop speaker notifications when headset is plugged in. Is it not available on the Verizon version?

Is there any way to play system sounds through a Bluetooth headset only? When the volume is on and a Bluetooth headset is connected and listening to music, system sounds come through the headset and also the phone speaker. I cannot seem to find any setting to change this. Is this even possible? I want to be able to hear that I have a new text message or email when i'm listening to music without everybody else hearing this also.

Put your phone on vibrate or silent.

When you do that, system sounds do not play through the Bluetooth headset. Music still does, but not the system sounds.

Odd, it's working here.
What ROM are you using? In your settings, you should be able to check what action your phone will do when you plug the headset/bluetooth.
So you have a Bluetooth headset connected, phone on silent/vibrate, and are able to hear your text message tone through your Bluetooth headset? For me I can only hear music playing through my headset when the phone is on silent/vibrate.
When I don't have the phone on silent/vibrate I hear my text message tone through the Bluetooth headset and phone speaker.
I'm currently on S3Rx ROM (Stock AT&T UCDLK3 JB based). When I was still on the stock ROM this was also the case. Not interested in non-TW based ROMs...

Works with my sound system, yeah.
Can't be much help with TW ROM though, sorry :/ - In AOKP ROM's control, under sound, you can choose your bluetooth and headphone actions but Idk if TW based ROM has that. Would be something to look into.
I just installed Paranoid Android 4.3 with OS Version 4.4.2 on my Galaxy S3, but I'm having a couple of problems with Speakerphone. If I play a Video in YouTube or an MP3, I can hear it quite loudly, but if I call someone and put it on Speakerphone, they are very quiet. Volume is already turned up the max.
Another issue I'm having is that I want to make it so certain Contact have different Notification sounds. I was able to do that in Stock, but all I can do in PA is change their Ringtone. Is it possible to change their Notification sound when I receive a text?

Is anyone having a problem with their bluetooth where it will connect and work just fine playing music, but doesn't work good when talking on the phone? I am running stock rooted rom with EX kernal if that helps. Music plays flawlessly, but calls sound like there is bad static, almost like the call is about to drop, but I have full service and it does it everytime. It didn't do this when I first got it and I'm wondering if anyone knows a fix for this.

I am mostly using bluetooth headset for calls and have not had any issues with the call quality.
1) When via bluetooth the quality of a call is bad, then turning it off during call, makes the sound better?
2) What is your carrier?
3) Do you have VoLTE enabled or as soon as you start a call, the LTE drops to H/3G?

1. Yes. If I switch it over to the phone itself the quality gets better.
2. Sprint
3. I don't have it enabled. How would I do that?

I have VoLTE, but I am on T-Mobile. For the past couple of days I have been hearing some noise while talking on the phone, but it was there regardless of using bluetooth headset or not. Maybe T-Mobile was doing something to network, but now the noise is gone. Don't know if Sprint has that. Do you have in settings>more>cellular - menu item/switch named "Enhanced 4G LTE..."?
You may have to get a new Bluetooth device I had this issue with the lg tone hbs- 730 on my n5x then it died so I had to buy a new one and I bought the lg tone hbs-800 and its just fine.also u may want to try and reset your Bluetooth device that's solved this issue for me in th e past

I've used Bluetooth calling mainly with my car and it's been fine. A couple calls through a Bluetooth workout ear buds was okay.

Hi all,
I connect my Pixel to a bluetooth to line in adapter in my truck and I notice that it always maxes out the media volume setting on my phone. If I turn it down it jumps right back up again. The problem is that voice calls are much quieter and when I end the call the volume is WAY too loud for the music. I installed an app that lets you adjust the levels for calls and for media but it does the same thing where the media volume maxes out automatically. Long story short I want control back and am rooted and hope there's a mod or something I can do. I am currently running Dirty Unicorns but I'm pretty sure it does the same thing on stock rom.
May have found an answer in developer options. Will give it a try tomorrow.
