My wildfire is not rooted. But i can only view system files from es file manager. So i need the location where the password resides in device memory. Thanks for the effort.

Can you please tel me where i can see my saved wifi password in Galaxy S2 ?
Please don't dig up threads from April, especially when it isn't related to a Wildfire!
Ask on the Galaxy S2 forums. Every ROM has its own place.

Hi, I've just bought a Galaxy Nexus, and I've noticed that there is always a permanently empty album in the Gallery, named after me. I don't know where it could have got the name from exactly, however I'm guessing from my "Me" contact in the phone? I know for sure that it isn't a picasa album. Anyone have a similar issue to this? I want to get rid of it if i can, but I see no way that I can delete it.

Have you checked G+ albums? Maybe you've got one named after you
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Nope, nothing there. My Google+ Albums have the picasa logo on them, but this blank one doesn't have any sort of logo. Can't delete it either.
Anybody got any ideas?
Well i've posted a thread on the Android Help forums, but I hope I don't have to end up resetting my phone

May be a dumb question, but have you tried deleting it? I tried transferring pictures onto my GN and ended up with some ghost folders that I just deleted.

I can't delete it, I don't have that option. Also it was there from when I first booted up my Galaxy Nexus

Thanks dude.but I would appreciate if its the stock navigation apk because it integrates with google maps.
Actually the problem is my Android is a different one that requires data connection for
GPS navigation however my friend uses it for free without internet on his Sammy y.
So just asking from you guys because someone would have made the backup of stock apps right?

the reason why he can use navigation without internet is he didnt clear cache, so data he collected with internet ON remains the same only GPS will show him where he is
anyways stock maps.apk contains navigation, so just push this to ur ROM
or use market unlocker to install this(not sure of name)
here you go buddy

Hi there,
I am new to the forums but am wondering if anyone could help me in recovering recorded videos/photos.
My mom recently passed away from cancer and these video files are extremely important to me as it was her last words to me. Before unlocking and rooting my phone, I created a full backup through the Nexus Root toolkit program. However, in restoring the files, it only pushed back a fraction of the files I had on my phone.
Is there any way of restoring all my files or even just the photos and videos? I am completely distraught and I have tried all the data recovery programs for android but unfortunately none of the applications work as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus cannot mount an SD card.
If anyone could provide any input, it would be much appreciated.
My direct contact is: [email protected]
With sincerest regards,
Richard

That's rough. By chance did you have auto upload turned on? If so they should be present on your google account.
Do you still have the backup from the nexus toolkit? Can you explore it for the DCIM directory?

Thank you for such a quick response,
I do have auto upload turned on but I do not know where I can find the files on my google account. I did not see it in my google drive or docs. Should I be looking somewhere specific?

Google recuva. Downloads the program and run it through your device, assuming you haven't over written any files yet. It should recover a majority of the files. I can't count how many times it had saved me. Let us know what happened. Sorry to hear.

Esteway: Unfortunately my device synced to picasa and so there are no albums there aside from a profile picture.

At the moment, I'm completely distraught but I'm planning on bringing it to a computer store to see if they would be able to recover the files. Although none of the methods mentioned above worked, I just want to thank all of you who have responded. I really do appreciate your input and am happy I joined this community.
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up and say that I was able to recover the deleted files by following this guide.

Ok my question is this.
Deep inside my apps manager there is a phone ICON and no phone icon on the tablet anywhere else and no where to access this green icon.
How do I get the Icon from the manager and onto the phone somewhere ?
Its not in any of the trays or apps page etc. Its no where to be found but it exists deep in the apps manager. I dont want to use Voice and all the other BUL$&%T voice over IP junk apps.
I want the green phone Icon that is hidden deep in the device accessed some how
Again
It doesnt let me hard press and move the icon from the manager and its NOT anywhere else on the device.
If you have a real answer that I havent covered above then help me out !!!!
You must be rooted first and if you want to delete it use no bloat free and if you want to move it use root explorer and system apps are under /system/app or you just go to app manager and turn off anything you want but beware what are you doing

I want to get this button from deep inside the device and access it.
I want to turn the Tab 3 into a phone... Without using the junk apps to do voice over IP
I want it as a direct mobile device

Sprint doesn't enable phone calls on the tablets. The closest to tablet Sprint provides with phone functions is the Galaxy Mega.
Until recently you could use Google Voice and a number of other products for data-based voice services, but Google is disabling that in May 2014.
This tab has voice capabilities for sure...In CDMA ws it reads MIN/MDN...just need to figure out what APKs need to be placed in /system folder ..

The carriers can also enable and disable voice capabilities by line. This issue has been raised with data-network enabled tablets in the past. If the line isn't voice-enabled, no APK is going to change that.
But as always, YMMV.
Round and round nobody really has an answer just where we started before wasting time on this blog....
Has anyone ever found a solution to get this working? I have an sim-t217t that is unlocked, using a voice enabled sim on t-mobile and everything works fine except the phone app isn’t showing on the home screen and can’t get it to show and have tried several dialer apps that don’t work either.
I understand Samsung disabled the phone function on the US based tablets, but I’m sure by now someone has figured out a way around it?
Hi I have a galaxy tab pro 10.1 and have downloaded 2 films which show fine but I am unable to find where they are stored or filed. If anyone can assist it would be appreciated.
