[GUIDE] How to gain coins faster in Small Street - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 General

Hello. While going through General section, I found a post regarding free coins in Temple Run. I had plenty such cheats and tricks for many games. So I am posting one of "MY OWN" trick for the game Small Street which is available for free in market.
WARNING - This trick can cause many undesirable problems, both, on your device and on the game. For example while applying cheat your status bars top part may be seen but the part below be invisible. Or the graphics stop working but they start to work fine automatically. None of the problems will act as a risk to your device but if it does, I am not responsible. Nothing as such happened with me.
Now lets start -
What you require -
Your device
Temple Run Free(Paid will also do)
Now here are the instructions -
Before opening game, go to Settings > Date and Time
Un-tick "Use Network Provided Values"
Put in your countries Standard Time.
Set time to 00:00 or 01:00 (Or whatever you prefer)
Open the game.
Now make some money by opening business and end the tutorial.
After the tutorial is over, have upto 4 or 5 buildings.
Minimize the game by pressing Home button.
Now open Settings > Date and Time.
"Set Time" and increase the amount of minute or hours you want.
Now open the game again (There might be a Notification)
There will be a message saying "While you were away, you earned.....".
Remember, when you enter 23:00 (in 24 hours mode) or put 11:00 (in 12 hours mode), always remember, never do 24:00 or the time will go back instead of front. And then you won't earn money and your businesses will take a lot of time.
After you are done playing and want to watch original time, first note the time and date on paper. Then tick use network provided values.
And when you want to play again, put in those date and time in the Settings > Date and Time.
And finally, "PRESS THANKS"!

Cheats for a game? Seriously? I thought you were doing some ROM development or something.

[9-1-08][NCAAF]-PocketSportsCenter 6.1 SP Plugin

Updated with NCAA Football support
This is for WM6.1 standard, smarthphones ONLY using sliding panel homescreen.
Thanks to ScottyMoMo for this pocket sportscenter app from this thread here: http://discussion.treocentral.com/showthread.php?t=161402
This is a homescreen plugin for ScottyMoMo's Pocket SportsCenter for smartphone. This plugin will display any teams that you select in PSC. Teams only as of now, may add more support later. PSC allows you to select teams from MLB, NFL, NBA, or NHL. Once you select the teams in PSC, select the option to exit and save teams to panel.
NCAA football Top 25 teams are now available for scores and updates on page 2 of the sports panel. Since my feed only gives top 25 scores, and most teams I follow are in the top 25, I went ahead with a top 25 scoreboard instead of including team support. When activated it will provide the top 25 teams scores and start times on the text loop in clock panel. Scheduling will not work for auto updates. It will have to manually be started and stopped since there are so many different game times.
The first page of panel is for PSC setup and options. The second is NCAA football. The rest of the pages are for your teams( I allowed for up to 20 teams to be added). From the teams' pages, The ActionURL will do a manual update for that team. The softkey URL will open auto update options which are as follows:
1) stop auto updates
2) 5 minute intervals
3) 10 minute intervals
4) 15 minute intervals
5) Custom intervals
6) Setup timezone( for auto updates scheduling)
After selecting an interval it will save it and run an update. Only one team at a time on updates, both manual and auto. You can go to another page to manual update another team while one is on auto, but only 1 auto update can be run at a time.
I added an automatic scheduling for the auto updates also. When you click on auto update, it will check to see if game is already started or if it should wait till game time. If it finds a game time, it will then set itself to wait and start the autoupdates at that time. Once it gets the final score, auto update will stop automatically. Auto updates should not be started until game day and should work when set the day of game, but not if you try to set before that day.
It now has clock panel text loop support for the auto updates. So if auto is running, it will display game info for that team in operator name text area along with team icon. When auto stops, then text reverts back to network id or weather along with icon that was there before auto started.
TO INSTALL THIS:
1) Install either with the cab . Install to Main memory for now, I'll have to make a few adjustments for the storage card(should be ready in a few days).
2) After installation, go to the start menu and find Pocket SportsCenter. Click on this and setup your teams.
3) After selecting your teams, click on Exit and Save Teams to panel.
4) Now, if all has gone correctly, your homescreen will refresh and the new Sports panel will be visible with your teams, ready for use.
For anyone that needs to replace/fix their team icon folders, all league zip files are in post #135.
To Uninstall: Use Remove Programs and uninstall this cab. Then you will need to reboot or refresh your homescreen to remove the Sports panel.
If there's enough interest in this, I will take the time to make this real nice. Lets see a "show of hands" or keyboards... or whatever..lol
here's a hand and keyboard thumbs up!
would be huge

Suggestion: Kid Friendly Home screen

hi devs,
I just wanted to see if this can be done..and if it is a good idea.
I had posted it the general area.. and had little response.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5950445
I was wondering... maybe there is "an app for that", but I have not seen it..
I will be updating to the newest greatest android phone when it is released for Sprint / CDMA. But what will I do with the beloved HERO?
I was thinking it would be great for my kid; or kids in general as a:
for younger kids: MP3, Movie, Internet, GPS, Photo device
for older kids: a cell phone / leash.
But there are some things I dont want my kid to have access too. I want to limit the phone and give only access to only necessary functions.
So, here is my request/suggestion:
Have a "Home" app that can lock down the phone's functions. The parent can turn off/on the functions that they want the kid to have.
-Lock down the Dialer or make it invisible.
-have only calls to short cuts "people"
-911...
-GPS always on
-Text limitations.
-use a software like "wavesecure" to look at the phones activities.
-app to see where they are and where they have been.
-set timer on some functions: like can make calls / text on weekends only.
-Limit access to the "Market"
-Limit access to the Internet (kid friendly).
-ability for us to call the phone, it auto answer, speaker on, and not show any trace of it being on. ( )
(just to name a few options)
This might be a great app that sells a lot.

Or just put them on a leash and electrocute them when they misbehave.
Or here's another tip. Dont waste money on an HTC all powerful device and just buy one that meets your censorship standards.
PS. I really like the "friendly".

Just make sure she wouldn't actually like that
The concept is good but...where do you leave "childhood" in all of this.
If they dont do childhood things like ,errors, misbehave, etc while they are childs, when they reach 18 and you dont have the authority to keep them restrained they will most probably do the mistakes they should do in childhood and even worst...drug abuse, pregnancy,no boundries....
Let kids be kids and hope for the best
there is an app that you can protect phone apps and funcions with a pass.. but wh dont buy an more basic and specific phone to your kids ?..
are you giving an hero to your 8yr old kid ? :\
lol.. funny ****
ok.. maybe you guys / gals are reading to much into what I wrote....
I am not wanting to ... LOCK UP my kid. I want her to have freedom ... that is age dependent.
I want her to be a kid... as a 6 yr old.. and as she grows. she should have more rights and freedom.
this is just a security thing for her safety.. and mine too! Locking down some features will save me $$ .. To many texts, minutes, apps... and wasting time on the phone!
I want to give her MY HERO when, I upgrade to the next phone.. which I am hoping will be the EVO
do not overcontrol your kids! You dont need to always know where excatly he/she is!
i remember hearing in the news...
kids.. texting like.. thousands of text a month.
using up all the minutes and hundreds of more
order crap ....
just want to be able to not have these things happen to me...
and others.. that will want to give phones to their kids..
have the app .. be customizable by the parent to what is lock down....
wow... people are really misunderstanding and taking the whole concept to another side.
i completely agree with your vision. safety FIRST, always.
the idea of "locking up a child" is wrong and does not apply in this case. a phone is a phone and i cannot see how a "locked" phone would influenciate the kids childhood.. they are supposed to be playing with kids stuff anyway, not spending time sending sms's or browsing internet over a phone.
the phone would be more of a safety device and i completely support that approach.
that aside, i also was thinking of some "app" of some sort that could somehow disable features that would be at the same time not necessary and costly for the parents.
since it would be for ANDROID anyway, the fact he says it will give his daughter a HERO doesn't make any difference with the app. a good old tattoo would suffice i guess

I don't want to tell you how to raise your kid, and please don't take this the wrong way, but our philosophies differ greatly!
I figure, if you treat you kid with respect and explain what it costs and that you cant afford it etc they are much more likely to stick to your rules.
On the other hand if you lock down the phone they're only going to do everything in their power to break that lock and then send thousands of texts etc just to spite you.
Just a warning...
i agree with the general voice here. remember the times when there were no cellphones? and yet kids (us!) survived that era... WOW! not sure how it was possible, but it was. so go and teach your kids to be responsible, and first of all teach them to think for themselves. they wil grow up at some point, and then there will be nobody to check their location every ten minutes via their cellphone, and there will be nobody checking their financial status twice a day. or are you planning on doing this when they are 35?

Dan,... First an apology, I hope you dont think I was taking the piss out of you personally.
Now,... I do agree, on some features,... but some are horrendously unethical in my view.
i.e....
-GPS always on
-use a software like "wavesecure" to look at the phones activities.
-app to see where they are and where they have been.
-ability for us to call the phone, it auto answer, speaker on, and not show any trace of it being on.
... especially that last one,....
But that being said,... These could be good,...
- Something to make sure txts and minutes do not go over bundled ones, unless to call parents.
- Limit access to paid apps on market.
- And PC like internet parental block/filter (although I would have missed out on alot of 'vital info' if my parents had done this to my PC when I was at school).
Peace out

My thoughts exactly. Why give such an expensive device to a child?
Come to think of it, if your kids are anything like I was when I was 8 they
will just flash it with a different ROM anyway
hhhmmm........
so many that oppose me idea....
and you all.. are taking this soo out of context!
I remember when I was a kid.. around 12 yrs old...
My parents would say.. get out of the house..
just be back by dinner!!!
but in these days and time....
Can you all.. really do that????

AppFinder on Windows Phone 7

Check out my free app in the Marketplace: AppFinder
AppFinder is the fastest way to find apps by name bar none.
Start typing the name of an app or publisher, and the search results are shown instantly.
tap one of the results to go to the marketplace page for the app.
Check it out and let me know what you think
Been using it last couple days, its a big help! Thanks!!!
I'll check it out thanks!
Thank you - it's very fast like the marketplace search should be. Good for quick looking apps if you know the name.
Are there any improvements coming? Like the Top Downloads or anything else?

thanks for the feedback - I'm on it

does this fix the crash where it closed and wouldn't reopen for me (even after soft reset)?
I had to uninstall, reinstall to get it working again.
I don't think so.
Although I think I know the cause. I will have to roll the fix into another update.
I think there is a small window where the downloaded data file can be corrupted if the writing to flash is interrupted. It will be simple to fix. For now, if you hit it, uninstall reinstall is the only option.

Of course I do
AppFinder is all about making apps discoverable in the fastest way possible.
I think if you're not in the top 20 apps in the marketplace under any one of the categories, then as a developer you're invisible. AppFinder seeks to make it easier to find apps via search, and with the update, via browsing as well.
Update is in the hopper, still waiting for testing to complete...

the annoying thing is that it searches music and video as well. i can't just search for apps alone
locales
Ok, so I just figured out I've only been indexing the en-US locale
I've updated the data to include
{ "en-US", "en-GB", "en-IE", "en-CA", "en-IN", "en-AU", "en-HK", "en-SG", "de-DE", "fr-FR", "fr-BE", "de-AT", "de-CH", "it-IT", "en-NZ", "es-ES", "es-MX" };
this change is effective immediately as it is a data update. Still waiting for the update to make it through the approval process. It seems that the holiday has slowed things down a bit
The update finally arrived
Nice new features and still very fast. But unfortunately, in my case, it wont load after the second app start (even at first start if I switch the section). I always have to deinstall/reinstall again once the app was started.
Maybe you can take a look? Feels like a caching problem or something like that. I'm using a Samsung Omnia 7 in germany - if that helps
Feature wishlist:
1. add a settings screen to edit:
a.) the number of list entries on one page (10, 20, 50) to keep the app fast enough
b.) the section on loading (and maybe you also can set this to no section just for fast look-up app search - I used the app for this before the update)
2. Maybe you can use the OS-typical "left-to-right-scrolling-loading-dots" instead of the big ones?
3. New logo if there is enough time

Private Joker,
Thanks for the feedback.
First - there was a bug that only impacted the German locale! I was trying to save bandwidth by truncating unnecessary leading zeros in the price and this caused an exception when the locale was set to German. I've updated the data to include the leading zeros and this fixes the problem for Germans. You will have to uninstall and reinstall though to get it to work. I am very sorry for the inconvenience, and I really appreciate you taking the time to give me your feedback even though the app was not working for you at all. I hope you will try again given that the data has been fixed.
Regarding your feedback -
I think you are right on the mark for #2 and #3
I don't understand 2b.
regarding 1a.
perf should not be impacted by the number of items that are shown -
Appfinder actually transfers the marketplace data to the device and indexes it locally. I do this because the network is really, really slow. Aside from having artists and albums mixed up with apps in the marketplace search results, I also was tired of waiting for results to load. Scrolling through the apps means waiting.
The delay at the beginning is caused by reading the marketplace data from flash and indexing it in RAM. Occasionally the loading dots will appear after launching (like the first time that you use it) because AppFinder has transfered a new data file and needs to parse it again. Instead of delaying every 10 or so apps in the list, there is one delay at the beginning (which is relatively small). Right now parsing the file takes about 4 seconds.
Perf could be greatly improve if I had access to memory mapped file APIs. Further compressing the data would help as well - The really slowest part is really reading from the flash. I can improve perf when a network update occurs by reading from the flash in the background before blocking - this would drop the update delay from ~4 seconds to ~1 second.
I could also not query as you're typing -- Waiting until the enter button has been pressed would reduce CPU load and any chunkiness - pressing search would just render the apps instantly.
Anyway, really appreciate your positive attitude and willingness to give feedback in light of what must be a frustrating experience. Please give it another try.
Thanks,
Eric

WP7 design inconsistencies.which one do you think the most annoying?

Firstly, i have to clarify that,i'm not a WP7 ,android or iOS fanboy,so, who i am?just an ordinary handphone customer, not the hardcore one.
the thing i feel very annoying is that, the marketplace...
1)when I go look at a list of new apps, then i found something interesting,so i go into details and screen shots. In this case, especially after seeing the the screenshot,i press back twic, tog o back to the new app list. SURPRISE...it just jump back to the top of the list,i have to scroll all way down to the bottom. This has makes me missed some awesome new apps.Because everytime it is like that,i gonna quit the marketplace.
2)secondly, the random crash for marketplace. when i scroll to fast while the app list is loading(actually not that fast, just not slow).the marketplace will crash, and then a reboot is required.OMG...jeeez...it is wasting my time. but seems like NO-DO update has solve this problem, not yet since the my device updated.
3)This problem,i'm pretty unsure about it. however, my experience is something like this....at the first place, id ownload the trial version of fruit ninja.one day,i found an update for fruit ninja, and i click download all..and then magic happens,it is keep stucking at PENDING.even i tried to reboot the device....but not working.the update still available and can't download.
4)lastly,today i found a new app called WP BENCH,it sound interesting.but I don't find it in the new app list and i not sure which category it is. Therefore,i try search. I type in "WPBENCH" instead of "WP BENCH".just without the SPACE, the result has a huge different.when i type in the one without space, i got no result.whereas WP BENCH gives me the just 1 result. OMG, this makes me think of how the search function work????i was wonder if the app's name is long, then how can i remember every space and word???no app suggestion??or at least give me the result with related words.
cheers...please share your experience here.
Just so you know, both 2 and 3 are fixed in NoDo

OMG, this makes me think of how the search function work????i was wonder if the app's name is long, then how can i remember every space and word???no app suggestion??or at least give me the result with related words.
cheers...please share your experience here.

what's really annoying is coming on here and wading through the duplicate topics even when there is a sticky on that very same subject at the top of the thread.....

I've got something more annoying than that...horrible punctuation, grammar and spelling when you're trying to read through an OP. That's just great.

admin app for kids so they dont fiddle with the phone

Is there any app which gives me admin rights so kids don't fiddle with the phone nor they do anything unwanted or out of their domain.
kids have seen me dragging apps hence the little one uninstalled an app, is there a way that I open an app for them to play & they cannot press home key & cannot come out without a special gesture or a password?
How to manage a tablet for a kid since I am thinking to buy one for the kids learning but needs to be sure that this issue can be handled perfectly else it will become a toy in their hands.
I was thinking about an app with rules which then can be selected as restriction for the kid mode. The rules library can be shared among users & users can make self rules too.
I think toddler lock , no root required, can lock the phone
Thanks but that will just give 1 app itself to play with I want other apps to be played by the kid such as
For eg: kid has access to 7-8 apps , can play any 1 of them, should not be able to move out of that something like we have user account on computer for kids & the right access is given to them.
While playing home screen button should be locked.
