Thanks to GAda for the link.
It is the official flash player for froyo 2.2 available from the market (although the market doesn't let us download it, I persume it was downloaded on a phone running 2.2 that the market did like).
Works a treat on JP2 (tap and hold to enable full screen flash) much better than the ported flash player that was posted some weeks ago
Adobe Flash Player 10.1_10.1.72.7.apk

quick question, can you go on this site
http://s3.sfgame.fr/index.php?rec=58894 ??
If you can, I may flash JP2 just for this reason ( I flashed JM2 yesterday )

I tried it on jp3 but the downloaded file has a .txt extension. It tries to open with html reader lol. How do you change a file extension in android?
Ok... Update. I changed the file extension to apk with astro file manager then installed with android ( not astro). Google is my friend lol
BBC Iplayer is amazing on the galaxy screen and not jumpy at all.

There is no 'stock' Froyo for the Galaxy S, so which rom are you running out of the leaked Froyo ones (JP1, 2 or 3)?

-i have jp3 instaled today and i can't install some games like raging thunder 2 and when i try to open the game like assasin creed,asphalt5 say the need sd card with a least 0mb ,on 2.1 i don't have any problem...
-ps this flsh is awesome like on my pc:live tv,video etc cooooolll, die iPhone(i have 2 years).
Are the JP1/2/3 roms actually stable? I'm not sure whether to flash it or not. Can anyone outline any of the issues with it!
My xp
I have used the JP3 since it came out, and it is mostly stable for me. Wifi and HDSPA/GPRS works fine, Internet application crashes sometimes, usually on first start, then it works fine. Contacts application works, but sometimes the letters on the right to make you quickstep to a certain letter disappears. If you navigate in and out a few times, they usually come back though.
Other than that, it feels pretty snappy.
I cannot get flash player to work unfortunately, but it seems that a lot of people without root have that problem, can anyone actually confirm that?
/J
-the adobe flash player work perfect on my fp3 without root ,but i change the room and now i have jm2 because the 2.2 froyo have lag, bugs, etc
Is there anything you need to enable to make flash work, because it does not work for me. I have tried several apks, playerversion.com says I have 10,1,72,7 installed though, but no flash content seem to work.
/J
only instal flash with appsinstaller and reboot ,in browser option dezactivate mobile view and thats it.
so you cant use this with the stock rom?

I might have become blind, but I cannot find that option anywhere.
Are you supposed to find that in Settings in the browser?

galaxy ace work???
I was wondering who the hell bumped this thread.
Just give it a try. Won't hurt. You can always uninstall it later on.
I spent five minutes literally trying to figure out what was so special about a flash player leak that came from Froyo 2.2, before I noticed the date on the first post!
Seriously, why bump this???
I'm trying to nail down the exact procedure for installing Hulu into Roms other than SkyRaider. Specifically I am currently using HeyItsLouFroyo which after trying all the ROMs I could find worked the best.
So far I have downloaded the Hulupack.zip from the OP of this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=764787&highlight=hulu
and the Hulu.apk.zip file from an update to the same thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7903587&highlight=hulu#post7903587
I tried installing the "install_huluflash_player.apk" but it gave me an error during the install something to the effect of "Application was not installed". From there I installed the "Hulu.apk" which installed successfully. Next I tried "flash_fixed_final.apk" which gave me the same error as the original flash install. Just for grins I launched the Hulu app and to my surprise it seemed to be working until I got a message that said "Unfortunately Hulu is not supported on your platform" I have not installed the updated hulu.apk that I found later in the thread yet. I wanted to first start a thread and see if you guys can save me some time and frustration by telling me what the proper process is for getting this working.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
It looks like I may have posted this in the wrong spot. Can someone please move this to the correct spot or tell me how I can move it and where to?
Bump bump

subscribed, i've actually been trying to figure this one one since 9am tried everything found in every 2.2 thread
Did you uninstall old files first?

I did not. I just removed the flash app via Titanium and tried to install the flash_fixed_final.apk but received the same error as before.
Now I have no flash at all and still can't install flash. HMMM, now what?
Wait, alright I rebooted and after the reboot I was able to install the new version of flash. I opened hulu and it seems to be working now except it has this issue where the voices are super slow. I remember reading something about this in another forum but I think it was fixed by an update to the ROM. Anyone know how to fix the demon voices?
I have a 100% working Hulu now.
The fix for the demon audio was found in another forum. Here is what I did.
1. Opened Rom Manager
2. Selected "Download ROM"
3. Selected "Ihtfp69"
4. Selected "Goodies for 2.2+"
5. Clicked on the "Download" button
6. Checked the checkbox next to "Revert Audio Fix" and clicked OK.
Every thread I have seen about the new market and its problems talks about how they aren't able to detect any devices. I have a different problem. My device shows up just fine, and the entire download process appears to function properly.
This app will be downloaded to your device shortly.

This is the message I get on the market, but it never goes through. I am currently using Calk's Evio rom. I've tried what I could from the troubleshooting tips, and nothing has worked. Any suggestions would be great.
I thought it was assumed it would only work with the update market apk.
Edit: Works for me just fine with the updated market.
Isn't 2.2.11 the updated market? If so, that's what I've got and still no dice.

Thread over at the google forums that answered this for me. The trick was the google framework services.
Anyone have any luck getting Netflix to work? I downloaded and tried it and before I edited the build.prop file as per the instructions on Lifehacker (I can't post a link).
The application opened fine but I got the "not supported for your device" message. So I then edited the build.prop file and now when I try to open Netflix it just shuts down asap - in an instant. I tried both edits but with the same results. My Defy is rooted but is running the version of Froyo that came with the phone - I got my Defy the day it was upgraded to Froyo (fortunately). I am happy with the way it works so I have been hesitant to try putting another ROM on there. I use the Zeam Launcher which took away all the Motoblur stuff (seemingly).
It would be pretty sweet to have Netflix!
Thanks
Will be watching this thread, since my wife is *****ing about me having Netflix on my HD2 and she wants it on her Defy
more info
For some reason, I lost Swype. I made a back-up of the build.prop file so I think I should be okay. I just think that this phone as the ability to run Netflix -the app opened fine and looked great but recognized that I was not a supported device. I thought editing the file would solve but instead it instantly shuts the app down. Strange. And losing Swype?! Weird.
Netflix on Defy???
Anybody have it working on Defy yet?

After you edited the build.prop you may need to go and clear the Netflix cache. If that doesn't work do a complete uninstall of it then reinstall. Hopefully that will work.
CM7
I finally just installed CM7 and Netflix works great. You will get a popup about a new version that doesn't exist but just hit cancel and stream away. Really awesome. CM7 is much better.

i am just looking for any tips on getting the Sprint NBA app working again with an ICS Rom....i purchased the app @ the beginning of the season and it has worked great on custom GB roms but now ever since flashing ICS i get a pop-up "non-sprint device detected". ive tried some build.prop edits that ive seen people trying with actual non-sprint devices but no go.
thanks for any help
Working great on ICS.
After reading your post, just went to the market and downloaded 'Sprint NBA Mobile 2011-2012'. After installing the app for now 10 minutes, no errors. Flawlessly running well. Attached screenshots (took it 5 mins ago)
If you flashed ICS rom after you installed the Sprint NBA, I think you need to uninstall NBA from your phone (clean cache/data) and install it from market again.
I think it will resolve your issue. Usually if you do not format the data during the rom upgrade, some apps are going to fail under the new rom. I've seen many sprint apps acted like that. So, the best way would be delete data/cache, uninstall app and install the app from the market.
