Looking for Samsung Captivate Logic Board/Motherboard - Captivate Accessories

I am looking for 2 logic boards/motherboards for a samsung captivate i897, as they have went out in two of the phones I have...(one the side buttons don't work and the second the internal sd is damaged) I have looked pretty much everywhere online and cannot find one. Any help would be much appreciated. THANK YOU!!!
p.s.
I believe the part number for this board is klmagbdehe-a101.
I have also attached pictures just in case I'm not using the correct name, but as far as I know that's what it is.

mother of boards
I also need a motherboard "my friend" attempted the unbrickable mod and royally fudged up the little things that make the phone run please help....

My replacement phone is way worse than original!

Guys I need some suggestions. About 2 weeks ago I dropped my S3 and smashed the screen. So I used my insurance and ordered another one. I absolutely loved my S3 before......
But the new one that they sent me is absolutely slow and laggy and its driving me insane! Everything I do takes a tiny split second longer than normal, but after a while it gets very annoying. Especially since I know what a perfect working one feels like.
When I press the side button to unlock the phone, its laggy lighting up.
When I swype to unlock the phone, its laggy getting to the home screen.
When I hit the bottom home button, its laggy coming back.
You get my drift...
My original was super quick and snappy, and now this thing is driving me nuts.
What would you suggest that I do? Its been this way right out of the box.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Root it and install a custom ROM, most of them will make even a good device feel umpteen times better. If it's still running poorly after you've tried a few ROMs then box it back up and take it to a store or call the insurance company back and explain the problem.

Thanks, yea ive thought about rooting it. Ive just never rooted a phone before so I was hoping there was something I could do that was basic and might fix the problem.
It seems unlikely it's a hardware problem. I'd start with a factory reset and see it it's still laggy, then slowly install apps until you figure out what's slowing down the phone.
I'd guess something in the background is grabbing CPU cycles.
update?

Just out of curiosity, did your replacement device look brand new...or did it look refurbished? They say you cant tell, however, i do know from experience that refurbished phones can show some damage. The reason i'm asking is because the Galaxy SIII is so new i would find it amazing that they already have refurbished devices to distribute on insurance claims. If it was brand new you would know. I would call sprint or your insurance provider and demand a new phone if the lag doesnt resolve itself. Sprint charges almost DOUBLE the price for insurance on the galaxy SIII compared to many other devices. I would be pissed if i didn't get a prefect SIII.
Also, I would strongly advise picking up an OtterBox case for your SIII, those things can keep your phone safe during a nuclear war.

If its refurbished it will have a sticker under the battery near the IMEI & S/N information with a date when it was refurbed... u can also look under ##786# under "reconditioned status"

Retiring my T-989...

Not by choice...my S2's power button is sticking when I press down on it and even with a small tap (without actually pushing down), it will bring up the power menu and such. It's causing complete havoc and keeps putting me into a Sleep of Death. I've tried ODINing and everything back to stock but it's definitely a hardware malfeasance. I still have my warranty so my next step will be sending it in for a replacement.
Until then I'm on the Samsung Captivate. UGH lol...if any of you ever had it, it's soo difficult to adapt to after having a Vibrant/TMo S2. So much ODINing and flashing of CWM and kernels JUST to get to CM10. I've been in a recovery boot loop for the last 2 hours and finally got it right (I'm not even sure how lol). Anyways this is the end of my rant/venting.
Hope you have a good night and a great next day.

Yeah I was gonna but I'm better off replacing this one. My USB port is iffy at best and only mounts as mass storage like half the time. I was okay as long as it charges but it's too much of a hassle to buy and replace multiple parts

This could be it. eBay item: 271084653175
Btw is there any other way to turn this phone on without using the power button ?

Here you go! They'll fix it for you!!

I had the same problem with my T989D (Telus Hercules). I was four days outside my warranty, but Samsung was kind enough to authorize a warranty repair.
I thought they were going to replace the button, instead they replaced the entire PBA/Mainboard.
The notes indicate: PBA REMPLACE - PAS D'ALIMENTATION (PBA replaced - no power)
So new button, mainboard, and connector for the usb at the bottom, everything works beautifully, couldn't be happier.

[Q] how to access sms's from computer, broken screen [Solved]

Dropped my At&t S3 at work today and the screen went black... can sometimes see a few lock screen images, but it is unresponsive to touch. I'm rooted, running CM10 and believe I have usb debugging allowed on the the phone. Is there anyway for me to locate and view the SMS's that have been sent to me through my computer? Sorry if this has been covered before, I just spent the last hour searching, but was unable to find anything. Also, does what I described on my screen sound like it will need just a glass replacement, or digitizer, and LCD? Thanks for all your help.

Thanks for your help, but I was unable to find the files this way. When I access my phone through windows explorer, I open internal storage, then data and the only file I can see is a titanium backup file. Am I going about searching my phone the wrong way?
On a brighter note, I did just find a program called myphoneexplorer which gave me quick access to everything I needed, so problem solved. Now I just need to figure out how I'm going to fix my phone.

This is definitely more than just the lens (glass), everything would still work if the lens were the only problem. Although unlikely since you say sometimes you see the lock it screen it could be just a loose cable(s). The reason i say this is if it were just a bad connection you would probably get flickers more often that just the lock screen. More likely it sounds like the LED panel is blown. I feel your pain, i actually just dropped mine today and broke my lens...argh. Depending on your skill level with electronics you could attempt to disassemble the phone and check the connections. If it comes back to life and you just need to replace the lens, they range from 10 to 30 bucks. You can pick up a lens/led assembly for around 200 bucks online, or Samsung does it for 175.

Just took it apart and tried re-securing most of the connections, but still no luck. I think I'm going to ship it off to Samsung, as that seems like the best price. Fortunately I have an old 3gs iphone that I left unlocked just in case to get me by in the mean time, unfortunately I'm back to using ios. As much as I hate apple, I have to say I dropped my 3gs hundreds if not thousands of times over the 3 years I used it, and only broke the glass once which cost less than $10 to repair. I've had this S3 for 3 weeks dropped it once and now I'm looking at close to $200 to repair it... kind of lame. That being said, now that I've gone android I could never go back.

It just really depends on where and how it lands, i've dropped all of my smartphones, some that i expected they were destroyed, you know on asphalt with pieces flying off in different directions, and managed to get a way with just a few scratches. This time my GS3 dropped no more than 36 inches onto a carpeted floor but manged to catch a sharp corner just on the edge of the screen and that was all she wrote. One of the biggest disadvantages to larger screens on our devices is more chance of the screen being damaged in a fall.

hi i am having a problem with a HTC Droid incredible 2, the screen is blank , i can hear a message noise and when i adjust vol i can hear it get lower or louder, the buttons light up on the phone but that is it. I have searched everywhere and found no fix for this. wondering if anybody has any solution to this problem or what it is?
ribbon cable for the lcd might be damaged or the lcd itself might be dead. what happens when you pull the battery and reboot?
it plays sound and boots up but no screen, the button lights come on too no screen. would it be worth it to fix if it is a lcd strap?

That sounds exactly like the problem I had with my old Dinc 2, as well as a friend's.
What temporarily fixed it for me was chilling it. There is a connection that gets loose/damaged and this fixed it for a time.
Wrap it in hand towel (helps protect it from moisture) and put it in the freezer for 15 minutes. Pull it out and try turning it on.
If it works, you can backup what you need to and move on
If not, it only took 15 minutes out of your day... and maybe some feelings of silliness for sticking your phone in the fridge.

I think chillybean is right you need to replace the lcd screen too .
I got mine off eBay , if you look for inc2 parts you can find basically the front half of the phone ( LCD . digitizer, and the plastic surrounding) all you gotta do is disconnect the panels from the board and replace the screen . i think i paid 20$ for the replacement . its alot easier than trying to seperate the glass from the LCD and just replace one of em
Here's exactly what i got , took about an hour to replace

Hard Bricked LGOG that I would be willing to donate for parts if needed

SO... My wife recently learned that it's not a great idea to charge your phone with a frayed USB cable. Had I known she was doing this, I would have put a stop to it. Sadly, the OG doesn't work. I can get a flash from the LED and a flash from capactive keys, but no download mode, battery pull does nothing and can't get the computer to recognize it. I'm going to make a few more efforts to revive, but I think it's done. PM me if you are interested and once I'm certain that it's completely gone I will donate.
The silver lining here is that my OG still works and I love it as much as ever.

No and No. We didn't buy the phones from Sprint so we have not spoken with them about it. Certainly doesn't help that there isn't a corporate store or repair facility anywhere near me.

Maybe something could be done to coordinate swapping the backs since it sounds like you just cracked the glass and he would only be using it as a dev phone. Like I mentioned in the previous post, I have a few last ditch efforts to try and then will be officially giving it up if they don't work.

I don't mind you sending it first to him to remove the black plating and then mailing me the device with the cracked back plating.
Also, if I happen to revive and you still want it, I'll send it back to you.
sprint doesnt usually care if its warranty or not, ive gone in and had them fix just about anything and they charge me the standard 35 dollar fee if you dont have insurance, the only thing they dont cover is screen/water damage. screens are 100 i believe to swap.
damn i need the back plate too
I'd be willing to send you some money for your front assembly! I got screwed by a Chinese seller when I bought a replacement for my cracked screen. The new screen registered touches constantly when I'll not touching the screen, scratches and discoloration on the ACTUAL LCD (ie not the glass) and my volume buttons got borked during the swap $95 well spent... So I'd could definitely use it since its my daily driver right now. I'd love you man!

Will they open it up and see that I have taken the tape off the battery terminal and tell me to take a hike? Also, does it matter that I didn't purchase it from Sprint?
