Hi guys!
I've been using a paid app for a while without having bought it, because unfortunately I couldn't afford spending on apps. But now I do, and I tried to purchase it in the play store, but it is marked as already purchased, and I get and error message whenever I try to download it. Is there a way I can make it forget that I already "purchased" this and buy it again?
EDIT: nevermind, found the solution, just gotta install a 2.x version of Market.
Funny that, google fixed even that

Anyone else having problems purchasing paid apps on the Play store on JellyBean?
I rooted and flashed JellyBean yesterday and today noticed that every time i try and buy an app it fails authorisation, then I get one email confirming the purchase then quickly after I get another saying the order was cancelled. I've tried it with three apps and tried throughout the day.
I've tried clearing data and cache for it but still get the same thing.
My card definitely works, i've used it today for something else.
Free apps download perfectly fine
is it any paid app or just a couple? if you're purchasing apps where the author is outside the US (i'm assuming you're in the US) sometimes your card will not auth the transactions because the card company thinks its fraud.
One was titanium backup, pretty sure that should work even though I'm in uk.. also tried cut the rope as a test and I know that should work.
I've used this card loads before on the play store so doubt it's a card issue, it could be a dodgy coincidence but only had problems since rooting and flashing, I was on stock before.

Sorry for creating a thread just for a question, but I couldn’t find an answer elsewhere.
My Galaxy S3 is rooted and the Market Enabler worked in removing the country restrictions and showing the paid apps. But when I proceed to buy an app, the store suddenly closes and I get this message: “Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped”
Any ideas how to fix this?

Can be done but you have to be patient!

First try to clear your Play Store cache. You need couple of more things to do in order to get the market working and buy apps.
Clear the cache of Google Transport Protocol (or something smilar - can't remember)
Clear the cache of Talk
Clear the cache for Market (just to be safe)
Turn on flight mode
Reboot
Now when your reboot is done make sure the phone is still in airplane mode. Next you have to fire the Market Enabler app, select your fake sim. After selecting the fake sim make sure you are still in airplane mode.
After completing these steps turn on your wifi (attn: WiFi). Log into Google Talk. Give it a couple f minutes to make sure it syncs with the server and lets it register the fake sim you have introduced. Open the Market and try to purchase something.
Google also does a check with credit cards billing address so you have to change the address of your credit card to a valid address from a country where market is open (ex: US, UK, DE)
Be nice and hit the thanks button
Thanks a lot for the replies, guys!
Will try now!

I tried the above before with a cpl diff enablers, it showed apps from verizon , but I couldn't even download free apps, much less paid, I'm overseas and have a US credit card. Hope you have better luck.

That's because Market Enabler is outdated and not really optimised. Use Market Access instead (Google "Market Access apk" it's a free app). Tiny, nicely done and 100% working. I browse and buy in the Verizon market, because the user base is way better than the one in my country.
Why should MarketEnabler (Jan 2012) be outdated?
According to the release date it's newer than MarketAccess (22 July, 2010).
Has anyone had a cure for the bug of Google Play Store when the problem is occurring on the phone and on the play.google.com website? I can't access my apps on the phone or on the website. The website gives me errors like "Were sorry, there was an error. Please try again later" or "Oops, we had trouble processing your request. We're working on fixing the issue. Please try again later (BM-PPH-01)" The phone gives me the "RPC:S-5:AEC-0" error.
This reminds me of the horrible bug Google had on the App Store a few years back.
(Nope, non of the searched cures have worked to cure either the phone or website's problem)
No and hundreds and hundreds of folks have it.
It's a play store back end issue. If you go to the website on your computer, the bug exists there too. So... Just wait it out.

Does this happen frequently? It just happened for both my wife's computer and mine as well as our phones.
I was able to buy one app on her computer and when I went to buy the second app I was unable. When I went to my computer I wasn't able to buy it there either.
If I keep trying, will it block my account?
How long on average would you wait to try again?
Thanks
Ok fella hit the thanks button. Because to fix the problem I figured it out. You must use an older account it can have the same credit card. Problem is if you have made a kinda new account & buy alot of stuff they do that to you. I couldn't buy anything searched left & right. Switching accounts via play store & purchasing the app from another (older)email address it workd every time. I was frustrated as well. Let me know if it works out for ya

Hello everyone.. I have recently installed cleanrom 2.6 on my Nexus 7 2013. I live in the UK and now I can't access UK apps or any paid apps. Can someone help me out here please...
Thanks in advance!
That's all controlled on your Google account. Sign into it and you'll have all your paid apps still, you just need to open Google play and install them.

I have signed into my Google account. All thats showing up when browsing the Play Store is free apps. Theres no sign of paid or UK apps. If I search all the popular apps nothing comes up. It's as if Google thinks I'm in a different country when I'm not. The same thing happened on my Neo x5 media box with a custom rom. When I use a VPN and select UK it will then bring up all the paid UK apps. As soon as I disconnect the VPN It goes back to free apps. Obviously I don't want to have to do this every time I use the Play Store, It's really fustrating..... So if anyone knows what the problem is please let me know!

I had the same problem a day or two ago, I rebooted my tablet and that seemed to fix it.

I'm running stock rooted, but have seen the same thing on my N4 with CM11, it will likely fix itself in a day or so.
