[Q] "Your phone was unable to connect to HTC Sense." - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am aware that this might be a newbie question, but I did search for an answer and nothing really helped.
I flashed Runnymeade AIO 6.0.4.2 about a week and a half ago. My first flash, without much trouble. S-OFF trough revolutionary, then their root exploit, installed 4ext, and installed the ROM. I then registered for HTC Sense, and it worked. Location worked, the phone rang on command.
The update came out (6.0.4.3). I wiped fully and flashed, and then HTC Sense stopped working. First it kept asking for a password on the phone, and then just went silent. The web service stopped working also. First informing me that it can't locate, and then: "Your device is performing its initial sync with the service. This can sometimes take several hours, depending on how many contacts you have."
I then flashed 6.1 beta (also full wipe). Great ROM, INT2SD works as advertised, but HTC Sense is still not working. The web service says same as above, and the phone says: "Your phone was unable to connect to HTC Sense."
Any ideas, or is this a hopeless cause?

The initial problem seems to have sorted itself out.
But now the online HTC Sense site says:
"We cannot get your location at this time, your phone may be switched off or out of coverage."
or
"Unable to connect to your phone to make it ring."

S620 OS is completely hosed

Hi - while trying to install Skype, the entire OS simply crashed. The phone does switches on but no longer finds the OS. Hence, I have no way to get an ActiveSync connection. Is there any way to install a clean O/S onto it?
Thanks in advance,
First step take your time to read the sticky located at the top of forum..
You could try an hard-reset and if all else fails flash stock ROM via bootloader, then update to ROM of choice.
Error 300
Thanks. I did. Particularly the "unbricking instructions post" from ookba.
The issue is that my Dash does not even start up. Hence, there is no way for me to get an active sync connection.
Current Status:
- phone can be started by pressing the Camera key and Power, which shows the red-green-blue screen
- phone can then be connected to the PC via a USB connection. I hear the ba-bing, but the phone does/will not establish an Active Sync (which makes sense)
- downloaded the TMO official ROM from the TMO site which is a WM6. Now, I know my phone did not previously have WM6. It probably had WM5.x but I cannot find the SHIPPED ROM anywhere.
- when I tried the RRU from TMO WM6 ROM, I got through all the way to upgrading. At which point, the mobile screen went to a white/grey with status bar stuck at 0%. But the PC application crashed and gave an error 300.
repeated the same with Kavana's ROM and the same issue.
I am looking through the forums for error 300 but most solutions seems to require an Active Sync connection. Any other suggestions?
Thanks.
have you tried hard reset? thats your best option
like stylez said, find the stock rom that was already on your phone and flash that.
i know you said you cant find it but it'll be online somewhere
look here

The key here is that you find your original stock rom, I had the same issue a while ago and took some time to get my stock rom in the web, since the forum didn't have it. I found it in the rapidshare library http://rapidlibrary.com/index.php?q=rapidshare+library, searching under HTC s621 rom. Additionally, have u try method # 3 in the unbricking tutorial? It worked for me.

[Q] Network busy after flashing Desire to CM7

Yesterday I rooted my HTC Desire, installed ClockworkMod and flashed CM7.03 ROM on it. I though everything was working fine, until today, when I started noticing calls weren't getting through.
So I tried calling back, after I got a text message saying that someone had called but didn't leave a message. I couldn't get through. My Desire says 'Network busy,' but after trying a couple of times, the call eventually does come through. Data doesn't seem to have a problem, I can load webpages and apps seem to have a proper connection.
I've tried my SIM on another phone (an old Sony Ericsson G900), which doesn't seem to have these problems.
Obviously, I've rebooted a couple of times, put it in flight mode, tried to reregister to the network, but that didn't help.
Is there any solution that doesn't involve updating my radio or flashing CM7 again? Have I missed something completely obvious?
Some information that might help you help me:
It's a Bravo PVT4 (20.000, not 40.000, so flashing should've worked fine)
Hboot 0.93.0001
Radio: 5.11.05.27 (just updated to 5.17.05.23)
Did you tried updating Radio?
Here are the latest one's:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=687464
I hoped I wouldn't have to do that as I've read that this would be more risky than flashing and rooting. However, if there's no easier solution, I'll obviously try that. Thanks.
I als found a temporary solution. If I force it to exclusively connect to 2G instead of 3G, I no longer have problems with 'network busy.'
Edit: I've updated the Radio to 5.17.05.23, but it didn't solve the problem. Still getting 'network busy' on 3G.
Try reflashing the rom, might work

[Q] pincode does not unlock phone ?

Helly everybody,
The strangest thing: I installed the wifi improving htc update this morning on my stock rom DHD, which went successfully. Then I was viewing my emails at gmail and suddenly the phone locks. Apparently it is locked from htcsense.com and asking to enter pincode1 to onlock or call owner.
I remember i tried to lock it from the website a few weeks back but it didnt work. Perhaps this is fixed after the update and it remembered the phone must be locked. Or could it be that somebody hacked htcsence and locked my phone?
Now I wouldnt bother much about that but when I enter my pincode it says its wrong while i m 100% sure it s the right one! After 5 attempts I have to wait 300seconds and then the same thing.
Cold reboot didnt help; I cant unlock it from the website either. Does anyone know how to solve this ?
Thanks on beforehand!
Its definitely a problem with HTC Sense. I'd give HTC a call and complain a bit and tell them to fix it immediately.

[Q] Htc Wildfire S Wi-Fi and USB Problem After root

Hi everyone,
I'm having some trouble with my Htc Wildfire S. It's really long story. I decided to root my phone due to its low internal storage but i didn't succeed. Then i realized that my Android version is 2.3.3 and i decided to update it, i saw an update on my phone. After i updated, it no longer connected neither wifi nor usb.
But i know it's my fault. I didn't manage to update hboot(it's still 0.90), and when i tried to update it manually, by my SD Card, radio version was updated and htboot was always bypassed. i tried a lot but the program i downloaded from htcdev said my version is up-to-date(Error 190). When it said that, i ignored and went on my job. But oddly, when i change language option, my device then connects USB, yet i can't still connect wifi, which i can't even turn on and always says error. I tried to fix so hard that i didn't even study my exam i have this morning
Seeing that i am a newbie, please help be simply to get rid of this annoying problem.
This is htc wildfire a3333 thread.
Post it in Wildfire S thread.

Galaxy A5 (FM520F) FRP issue

Hey everybody. I have googled a lot now but have not found an answer to my issue. I got an old phone from the company I work for to use as a personal phone for my child. The issue is that the phone was not resetted properly after taking it away from an employee and now when I want to set it up for my daughter there is a google message: "This phone was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device". The issue is that the phone has been stuck in a drawer for a few years and no one remembers even who it belonged to. I thought I had the right person and we tried logging it in and at some point it even seemed that it worked but later on I still get the same message. I have gotten an ok from the company to do what I want with the phone (root, hack etc) but I really do not know anymore even know how to start. Tried flashing twrp through odin and recovery, did not work, got some error 21 or smth.
Has anyone good info how to fix it?
Thank you so much!
