Magic Sim
For cloning sim cards, u need to use a magic sim - one in which u can store upto 16 mobile numbers! it comes with all the required software and sim reader (usb), etc.
i use it on my O2 and it works perfetcly fine!
i have one brand new one lying with me in its unopened sealed packing which i got for my friend who later didnt need it....
so if u want i can sell it to you. send me a pm if u wanna get more details abt it!

Anybody in UK dont bother, I bought one and destroyed every sim trying to crack the Ki, if you have a very old Orange sim it might work but the rest you can forget as far as I know.
hello everyone
i am looking on the internet for Xperia play spare parts. basically i got an xperia play for cheap, but got ripped off by the seller. the SD card reader slot doesnt works (opened the device up and the thing is broken) and the 3.5 mm headphone jack gives no audio whatsoever (phone doesnt even detect a headphone plugged in). I've looked up and down for those two parts, and i found only 2 websites that offer them, without shipping to my country . If anyone knows where i can get those two parts, or someone is stripping down their xperia play to sell for parts, please post it here.
thanks
I assume the seller doesn't accept returns then? If they don't, then probably either find someone who can receive the package then send it to you, or keep searching for a seller who could send it directly to you. You probably thought of it already, but those're pretty much the only options I can think of. Might help if you let us know what your country even is, too.

Verizon has a SIM Card slot, its just not used. They put a piece of plastic in the slot, like a fake sim card almost to cover the opening, but you can easily pull the plastic piece off. Not sure what effect a verizon board would have on a phone that isnt verizon though, such as you might have to have the SIM Unlocked.

I think verizon use slightly diffrent CPU chipset to the GSM version.

If it's brand new, maybe you need a new sim or a new mainboard?

This. If the SIM failed in the new phone, I'd try a new SIM.

have you ever though, might actually be your SIM that is defective instead of the phone?
it's extremely unusual for a phone SIM card slot to be defective twice
have you tried your SIM card on another phone?
Ugggggggh.

how did you know it's a brand new one ?
I've been told that samsung won't replace phones ,IDK
Why have you still not replaced the Sim card when everyone is telling you that is probably what it is?

its not my sim card. i put it in my bro's s2 and it works. other sims dont work. they said its the sim prong reader thats messed up. i dont have the reciept so i cant do it through tmobile. i already sent it in to samsung. when it came back, the sim was a little loose in the tray. its probably that. cuz the sim trays not broken. it keeps reading searching.
you can put a little piece of paper on it to keep it in place
also make sure you did put the SD card facing out
the cut corner should be facing out, not inside
Where did you buy the phone from? Did the Sim ever work in the phone? If it has, and it's not a used phone, T-Mobile's system will automatically see the warranty in the system.
Otherwise, if you have the php bundle on your T-Mobile account, T-Mobile will replace it under warranty anyway...regardless what the system shows for warranty information.

nope the sim never worked. the sim prongs where messed up when i got it.
searching for how long?
first start always takes a long time to find the network..
more than hours. its sent back for another repair
I used a micro sim card and a adapter, broke one of the three pins while removing it, my note can't read the sim card now, will take it to Samsung service center tomorrow but I'm afraid it will cost a lot, any advice where to buy the sim junctor online just in case ?

oh dear
i read a lot of stories on the forum about this very issue when i first bought my phone, which is why i didnt use a microsim adaptor and got a replacement sim from GiffGaff instead.
from what i understand use of a microsim adaptor voids the warranty so dont admit to that.
It's not easy to replace the SIM reader by yourself. It's soldered on the mainboard.
You mean that the main board needs to be changed?
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
No. The reader can be replaced but it requires a hot air rework station and some experience. The new reader can be soldered with a fine solder tip.
Thanks for the info, will go to Samsung tomorrow and see how much it will cost.

Ok, i went to samsung service center, the guy told me that it's easy to fix it, they will change the sim connector, it will take one working day for 40$.

as ive said in other areas of the forum... i can fix it...... and fix it very very well. 100% legit pm me for info as its an xda requirement that i cant post the info in forum... i do repairs for people all over the world...
Mine will evidentially break the same way. I can tell that if I pull my micro-sim and adapter out from my Note, that it will pull the pin. I'll now have to replace the sim when replacing the Note in the not too distant future.
It's happened to me previously with an Xperia PLAY.
Pro-tip, stay away from micro-sim adapters.

no actually you could just cut a really thin but rigid piece of plastic thats the exact width or just a very bit smaller than a sim and thats slightly longer. use that to easily slide under your sim tray then gently ease the tray out .. this will protect the pins from snagging, breaking off, or getting stressed.... or use a full size sim but you must need it or im guessing you would have done that already...
should save you from breaking... but if you do break it..i can fix it...
Major issue with SAMSUNG SIM-microSIM pin connector
Now there are dual format SIM. A slot is already there in the plastic allowing to transform your SIM into a microSIM without using any tools. Bad luck, the slot is just large enough to grap the pin of the pin connector and to break it. It happens when you remove your SIM.
The connector is very cheap but Samsung garantie is not working for that: they only replace the motherboard (cost 200€).
Hi. Been searching the forum but couldnt find any related posts.Sry if im wrong. I have a galaxy nexus and bla bla after a while i changed from a normal sim to micro sim,so i bought a "connector" or so,to adjust the size, put it in the sim slot of my nexus, but, there was some resistance...so eventually the phone didnt recognize the sim,and i noticed that i broke a litte connector piece in the sim slot( three litte things, one is broken now); so the phone wont recognize my sim. Anyone has any idea if there is smth i can do for myself to fix it? Or where i could go(shop for mobile phones etc) ,and an estimate on how much that might cost?
Thanks in advance
cheers
