I'm not sure if this is a problem with Wondows 8 or a problem with Jelly Bean but...
I have a windows 8 tablet (Samsung ATIV 700T) and I can connect a bluetooth mouse to it no problems.
I can search and find my note 2 from the tablet and when I click to connect the same confirmation number comes up on both the tablet and the phone.
But the connection just stays as paired and doesn't go to connected? Any ideas why they won't connect? My S2 that was on 4.1 also couldn't connect. The wireless mouse works no worries with the tablet. the mouse also connects with my note 2 as well. But for some reason the tablet and phone see each other and can but only pair and not connect.
Any ideas??? Google doesn't seem to filter enough for me to find anything directly related unfortunately.
I'm hoping to bluetooth tether my internet from my Note 2 to the windows 8 tablet.
Tethering with wifi works well but it sucks more power than if I did it through bluetooth. Any I assume bluetooth wouldn't bottleneck the data speeds too much anyway.
I seem to have a problem connecting my new 10.5" tab s to my Verizon note 3 via bluetooth. It shows that they are paired but when I click connect it acts like it will connect for about 3 seconds (it says connecting...) then just goes back to saying paired. The dude at the Samsung display in Best Buy claimed these 2 devices simply cannot connect through bluetooth which didn't seem right. Tonights?
What I've tried so far: obviously restarting both devices and completely unpairing them as well to no avail...

It isn't right. I have a Note 3 also but with Sprint. I don't have any problem connecting. I would assume it is not the carrier that is causing the problem. It is well known that the Samsung reps at BB know absolutely nothing about their products. I also assume you tried shutting BT off on both devices then re-activating them? Is NFC on on your note? If it is try shutting that off as the slate is not NFC capable and it may be interfering. Just some suggestions.
I have a Note 3 as well from sprint and haven't had an issue connecting via bluetooth. I'll take a look around to see if anyone else is having this issue. Hopefully you'll be able to resolve it.
I did a factory wipe on my phone thinking that may help but was unsuccessful. Those of you who are able to connect your phone and tab, can you use the Internet connection from the phone using bt on the tab?
Update number 2...I factory wiped the tablet too and still no luck. It automatically wants to connect for Internet access and if I have the tab connectrd to WiFi it says it can't connect to bluetooth for tethering if WiFi is connected. Turning off WiFi does nothing...
I have the ATT Note 3 and am able to connect to my Tab S with Bluetooth. On both devices it only says paired. The only time it said connecting is when I initially paired the two devices, once paired the "connecting" was replaced by "paired". I can't find anywhere it says connected yet I am able to send files back and forth between the two via Bluetooth. I don't use Bluetooth to tether so not sure if that is where it's supposed to say connected. Sorry if we're talking about two different things, just trying to help.

Well I feel stupid now haha. I can't connect to use Bluetooth for an Internet connection as I was attempting, but I can send and receive files to and from the tab and phone.
Tired to pair my M8 with my laptop. Dell Latitude (I know there are a million models). Anyway, I use a pure Bluetooth mouse that pairs just fine. When I try to pair my laptop my phone see's the pairing code but the laptop never pops the code window up. I've checked all the laptop Bluetooth drivers and they are up-to-date. Any other things I should check on either my laptop or phone. I can connect my phone to my tablet via Bluetooth a Bose Soundlink mini speaker via Bluetooth just not this damn Dell. I use my camera at work and transfer the pictures from my phone to my laptop and hate messing with the cord all the time.
Thanks
Hi all,
I'm having trouble with an old Epic 4G. I'm trying to pair it to my laptop (HP Folio 9470m, Windows 8.1 x64) via bluetooth but it's not showing up. Neither my Epic or my laptop see each other.
I believe that the phone is the problem, as my laptop sees my iPhone and vice-versa over bluetooth.
I had rooted my phone, but reverted it back to stock to see if it would help this. It hasn't. I believe I still have the CWM bootloader installed.
Any similar experiences? Any ideas?
As I want to eventually extend a wifi signal over bluetooth (to get that extra 10 feet of range that I need) using this phone, is this even possible with this phone?
I'm trying to get my MZP to connect to my chromebook via bluetooth so I can use the SMARTLOCK feature. This allows you to login into the chromebook without having to type-in a password if your phone is beside you (and bluetooth is turned on). When I go through the steps it says MotoZ failed to connect.
I've connected my phone to other bluetooth devices and it worked fine. I've also connected my chromebook to my old MotoX and it worked. Therefore, I know their respective bluetooth works. But they don't seem to work together.
Anybody run into this issue?
V20 won't connect to Chromebook Plus (Samsung)
I'm having a similar issue with my LG V20 connecting to my Samsung Chromebook Plus. When I try and connect I get one pairing request on my phone, but two requests on my Chromebook so I can never successfully pair my phone and use smart unlock.
I don't know if it my Chromebook or phone?
