I seem to have a problem connecting my new 10.5" tab s to my Verizon note 3 via bluetooth. It shows that they are paired but when I click connect it acts like it will connect for about 3 seconds (it says connecting...) then just goes back to saying paired. The dude at the Samsung display in Best Buy claimed these 2 devices simply cannot connect through bluetooth which didn't seem right. Tonights?
What I've tried so far: obviously restarting both devices and completely unpairing them as well to no avail...

It isn't right. I have a Note 3 also but with Sprint. I don't have any problem connecting. I would assume it is not the carrier that is causing the problem. It is well known that the Samsung reps at BB know absolutely nothing about their products. I also assume you tried shutting BT off on both devices then re-activating them? Is NFC on on your note? If it is try shutting that off as the slate is not NFC capable and it may be interfering. Just some suggestions.
I have a Note 3 as well from sprint and haven't had an issue connecting via bluetooth. I'll take a look around to see if anyone else is having this issue. Hopefully you'll be able to resolve it.
I did a factory wipe on my phone thinking that may help but was unsuccessful. Those of you who are able to connect your phone and tab, can you use the Internet connection from the phone using bt on the tab?
Update number 2...I factory wiped the tablet too and still no luck. It automatically wants to connect for Internet access and if I have the tab connectrd to WiFi it says it can't connect to bluetooth for tethering if WiFi is connected. Turning off WiFi does nothing...
I have the ATT Note 3 and am able to connect to my Tab S with Bluetooth. On both devices it only says paired. The only time it said connecting is when I initially paired the two devices, once paired the "connecting" was replaced by "paired". I can't find anywhere it says connected yet I am able to send files back and forth between the two via Bluetooth. I don't use Bluetooth to tether so not sure if that is where it's supposed to say connected. Sorry if we're talking about two different things, just trying to help.

Well I feel stupid now haha. I can't connect to use Bluetooth for an Internet connection as I was attempting, but I can send and receive files to and from the tab and phone.

I drive a ford escape and when I bought it, I set up my phone to connect to the cars bluetooth automatically when I get in.
Since the ics update a couple months ago, I have to manually connect it each time I get in now.
I've looked through all of the setting available, and can't seem to figure out what to do to get it to connect automatically.
My phone is setup as the primary phone, but unless I connect manually, my g/f's phone connects and hers is the secondary phone.
The cars bluetooth seems to be fine as her phone works every time and mine only started to have this issue after ICS.
Any tips?

Have you tried unpairing her phone and pairing only yours?
yeah, no difference.
It seems like ics just doesn't support auto-connecting, but that would be ridiculous....no?
I am having problems keeping the watch connected to my phone. Android Wear will report it's connecting... then disconnect very quickly. It will repeat this cycle over and over. On the watch, it shows a little cloud icon with a slash thru it, pulling up Google Now reports the watch is disconnected.
My phone reports it is paired with the watch via bluetooth and the radio is turned on. I tried changing my wifi access to use my 5G radio instead of 2.4 but that didn't help. No other bluetooth devices are paired with my phone or with my watch. Phone is a Galaxy Note 2 running Android 4.4.2. Any suggestions that I can try?
I have this as well with my GS4.
are you having this issue when the phone is near you or like say across the house from you?
I got my watch yesterday.
Problem occured with out of the box firmware (4.4.4). I manage to reconnect and connect last enough to update to 5.0.2. ANd there I was hoping it will be good. But unfrontunately no. I still have the problem.
I have a galaxy note 4 (N910F) on Lollipop. I reset factory my phone and the watch. I have stil random disconnections. And when disconnected, It is hard to made the watch reconnect. Didn't have any problem with my LH watch R.
Kind of disappointed by the Moto 360 (a colleague with a one plus one and the same watch doesn't have such problems.
Really don't know mess things up.
What a burden to have to reset the watch each time we need to connect to a new mobile / reconnect to the current one.
They should have add an option to connect / disconnect
I recieved my note7 pre order and so far i love it! Though this morning i realized i had not yet connected it to my 8 year old mondeo. I have tried and tried. It will connect fine with my note3 and my wifes iphone6s plus. But my note7 wont even see it. It scans for devices and nothing shows up. Is there any way to make my phone see my car? Or to copy the bluetooth connection information from my note3 to my note7 so that it already knows about the device? Ive tried everything i can find online so far and have had no luck.
Maybe it is differrent bluetooth version .. not compatible... not sure though
Don't know if it is of use to anyone but i solved it.... i turned the Bluetooth on whirl already on a phone call and then amazingly my note7 found my car immediately and i was able to connect it and use the hands free.
I have a brand new 2017 Ford Raptor with Sync 3, version 3.0. I can easily connect my Samsung Note8 to it via Android Auto and it sees it immediately, connects just fine. If I unplug that device from the two USB connections, I try to connect another Android 7.0 Nougat device that is WiFi only to it, using a OBDII WiFi hotspot attached, and it connects to the internet just fine, but will not connect to the truck via Android Auto. The device is a DOOGEE BL5000, a Chinese Android device that does not have any US LTE bands, and I wanted to use a hotspot in the car to connect other devices to it on long trips anyways, so I paid $145 for an Android phone that I would use only with WiFi.
I've connected it with Bluetooth, done all the setup, and the screen shows BL5000 detected when plugging in, but absolutely will not connect to have THAT device use the Android Auto instead of my phone. My goal is to disable AA on the Note8 and have the BL5000 dedicated to AA duty while in the truck. I have tried FIVE different USB cables, two of which were factory Samsung cables, so they aren't the cheap ones, tried unplugging, plugging in, changing which USB connection type (charging / file transfer, PTP, etc), and nothing changes. The Note8 it set to just charging, so I can't imagine the setting is that important when it connects instantly. I have done a master reset on the Sync 3, had to start all over again with connections, trying the BL5000 again first without setting up the Note8, turning the truck on and off multiple times, it just won't connect.
It was said that Huawei devices for some reason won't connect to AA, don't know why or what the logic is behind that, but am I screwed with this DOOGEE BL5000? I wanted something with at least 4GB of RAM and wiping / disabling everything else but AA, Maps, Music off of it in order for it to work solely as a processor for AA that I can remove and replace, but this is becoming a headache all in and of itself.
Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Hello
I'm in the UK experiencing the same problem with my new Doogee and Sync 3.
Did you get any where with this issue please
Thank you

Yes and no. The Doogee would never connect, so I was refunded the purchase on PayPal because this was all I needed the device for, the seller did not respond so I got to keep the device. I since purchased a Moto G4 unlocked and it connects perfectly, immediately, and put a SIM card in it to run directly from the device instead of through WiFi only, makes Android Auto boot time much faster this way. Hope that helps!
Thanks for your very prompt reply. Glad you managed to get a solution in the end.
I previously tried a Cubot Cheetah 2 with my car to no avail. What's interesting is that my old Samsung J5 works with AA. You'd think a phone with android 7.0 would work.
Thank you again
Richard
As the title states, my phone will not connect to both devices simultaneously. If I connect one, the other one will disconnect immediately. I don't remember having this issue with previous phones. Any ideas on what is the issue and how to fix it?

Sorry, not sure what to say here. My S3 connects perfectly, and stays connected when another Bluetooth device connects to the phone. Do you mean, it's actually no longer connected or paired? My phone shows 'connected' to only my car for example but not the S3. However, it IS still connected to the watch. I still get notifications and such. You may try unpairing it, otherwise resetting the watch. Sorry I'm not much help here.

Maybe you're right and I'm just overreacting. I was going off of what the phone said. It says connected to one device, but does not say connected under the other. Maybe the watch is still connected and I just need to chill out. I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for grounding me.
My 6P on Oreo has no trouble staying connected to my car ('17 Durango) and my Gear S3 at the same time. Works flawlessly. Now, if my P2XL would actually ship I'd be able to confirm whether that hardware combo works as well...

I thought the same thing the first time I connected my phone to my car. I even rebooted my phone. When I did, my watch buzzed that it had been disconnected, which I forgot it does when the connection is lost. It wasn't doing that when connecting to my car. I also confirmed when I received a text and my wrist buzzed. Should be all good!
