hi
i have a little big problem (or maybe a huge problem).
So, i flashed a kernel of XXLM8 from here and now i messed up with my touch screen couldn't respond anything
So, what should i do? i was using DXLC1 ROM.
i have nandroid backup located in my computer, but i can't restore it because my sd card reader had lost and i can't connect the USB Storage
can i flash XXLM8 ROM to fix this problem?? or flash a new kernel maybe?
sorry for noob question, btw thanks before
I would flash the ROM.
It'd be easier... Then after it's working fine you could root it, get CWM and restore your Nandroid backup...

Sorry to hear that . I was also using DXLC1 ROM for testing both XXLM8 and Cow Kernel. It was working properly. This is the 1st unsuccessful case I know so far.
U can use Odin to flash a new Stock ROM. Check whether ur touch screen is working. Then get it rooted by using update.zip method by THE-E and install CWM recovery.
Can u enter recovery mode? if can, u can mount ur USB storage to computer and move ur nandroid backup back to phone.
Select Mounts and Storage Menu -> mount USB storage
then u can get ur internal sdcard connect to PC via usb cable.
actually you are the 4th person experiencing touch screen not responding after flashing xxlm8 Rom, it seems that some device has problem with xxlm8 Rom or it could be a hardware defect.

I would suggest flashing back a STOCK ROM 1st via odin(with the baseband of ur region so u can avoid any reception error, DXLM3 for Malaysian).
If the stock rom is working properly, root it and u can use a custom ROM and kernel now.

i've tried all indonesian rom, even the 2.3.5 rom
btw i'll flash the DXLC1 one, i have changed the kernel into Cow Kernel (which they said it's compatible with almost stock rom) just to see if they worked
=======================================
EDIT:
now i've stucked up in bootloop, which makes hypotesis in my head:
Cow Kernel create bootloop and XXLM8 Kernel froze the touchscreen

Before sending it to SSC, u need to flash it back to STOCK ROM, so that they can't tell u have rooted/installed custom ROM. Just tell them this happened after firmware update. LOL~ a bit EVIL but it is free with ur warranty.

After flashing back to stock , do a full factory reset/wipe using stock recovery (Boot into Stock Recovery) just wipe everything before you send it. BTW , In my place I try to update OTA so I can get the latest DXLM3 but it tell me no update available , I'm currently still in DXLC1 , pls check your region if DXLM3 has release officially ... or just flash DXLC1 and send it. (My 2 cents)

If you are not satisfied by the current rom, then you can flash stock rom via odin,
Or.. you could download both the files from the attached and flash it via recovery, the same way you flashed Simplicity:laugh:

You should flash the stock kernel and modules in CWM recovery, the same you flashed simplicity rom
DO NOT tick the repartitioning, and why are you using odin anyways, are you going back to stock ??

thank you,
I flashed the TWRP recovery and reflash the roms, it works well!!!!! so the only problem is the CWM recovery that i downloaded.
Hello guys!
I have an Ace2 (which was on Android 2.3.6) and tried to install CM11. At first it didn't work, because I had no CWM. So I flashed a Kernel with CWM and installed the CM11-ROM via CWM. That was no problem. But when I was setting up the ROM, I realised that I had no mobile/phone connection at all.
So I tried to install a few stock firmwares via Odin. The installation always finishes with no errors. But when I boot the phone it does not get any further than to the Samsung-startscreen.
And I can't access the recovery mode anymore! Only Odin-Mode is still possible.
Is there an option to get my phone back to some kind of stock state.
Please help me out!

Try to re-flash into stock rom, the jellybean version. If you had a problem with the network maybe there's something wrong with the csc file

That's what I'm trying now. I thought I already tried to downgrade to GB but after looking on the filenames of the different firmwares I tried, I noticed that they are all JB's.
Thank you for the replys. Currently I'm waiting for my GB-firmware to download...
You havr to use the 3 part firmware to downgrade.

if u will get bootloop after installing GB, go into recovery (if u will get that possibility) and wipe it, btw, did i understood well? U flashed CM11 when u have been on GB?
---------- Post added at 07:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:17 PM ----------
U can also try to flash stock GB/JB (depends on which firmware u have now) kernel separatly. Ramdisk (u have recovery in it) is flashed with kernel so it can help

I have to stock upgrade to JB first, BEFORE I flash custom JB ROMs.
I'm already loading a 3-part firmware, from that thread you gave me. Although the first link did not work, I hope there is the same (3-part) firmware in the second link.
U mean u are downloading from this link http://d-h.st/AZN ? (I8160XXLK6.zip)
Yes, its definetly GB stock rom, i was forced to use I8160XXLK6 (not from this link, but still) when i messed up my phone few weeks ago (same problem i could enter only odin-mode)

Yep, that's exactly what I'm downloading @ the moment.
And those are the 3 parts for Odin which should bring the phone back to GB-stock?
PDA: CODE_GT-I8160_I8160XXLK6_CL1211243_REV00_user_SEC_KEY_LK6_4G.tar
CSC: CSC_GT-I8160-MULTI-CSC-OXELF1_SEC_KEY_4G.tar
PIT: GT-I8160_EUR_XX_4G
Did I get that right?
I just don't want to mess it up again...
And btw:
I already tried a I8160XXLK6 but it was a single-file firmware and had no effect on my problem.
I need the 3-parts including CSC and PIT, right?
It doesnt work? Huh dunno why.
Lets trust @teddysten and upgrade to JB, it might work
If it wont u will have to do some research and find 3-part GB rom
The single-file firmware did not work for me!
I haven't tried the 3-part firmware yet, from the link that you gave me. In about 10 minutes the download will be finished and I'm going to try it immediately!
Well. Remember that after flashing first booting (samsung logo ANIMATION) takes a while.
if u will still have this issue after downgrading to GB then upgrade it from this to JB anyway because it might work (dont ask me how, i dont know how so i wont explain). For now im out and ill visit XDA tommorow (earliest).
soo Good Luck and i hope that others will help u too if u will get some problems.
I am here if you need help
What version of you Odin do you have ?
Ok...
I downloaded the 3-part firmware to get back to GB stock.
That worked.
Then I installed the original JB-firmware from my provider.
That worked too.
So I'm happy again and everything is working!
Thanx a lot guys!!!!! :highfive:

Thank you so much. I was in this EXACT situation (GB to KK) and tried everything; pretty much every GB single-file ROM I could file. The 3-part ROM did the trick though! Hello all,
I tried to flash CM 11 nightly version on my Galaxy Note 2 but is unable to do so.
When I try to flash, I get an error message that "This package is for device: t03g, n7100, GT-N7100; this device is t03gub"
I am sure that I have downloaded the correct version but from the above message it seems that I am trying to flash different version.
Please help!!! As I have cleared all the cache and memory, I even cannot boot into system. Cleared all the data for flashing the new CM11 but as I cannot flash now, I am stuck with a dead phone which I cannot use.
Please Help!!!!!!!
Flash Stock
Kindly go to www.sammobile.com and download the correct stock firmware for your phone.
Follow the instructions over there on how to flash. Or Google how to flash with Odin.
Once you get your phone live with stock OS you can go for Custom Rom.
As per my opinion DN4 by Electron Team is the best custom ROM.
Thanks for the help...... I did figure it out.... I had the flashed the wrong TWRP file initially and now rectified it.
Was able to install the CM on my phone.
Have a another problem though..... Phone network is not recognized. I mean by default, the mobile network is turned off and when I turn it on manually, it turns off the mobile network automatically.
Not sure how to rectify it..... everything else seem to be working fine.
Please help!!!

Worst part is that I dont have the back-up too....

Varun Did you ensure your phone is still rooted ?
Since you Install a stock rom form sams I assue its not Rooted or deodexed coz its stock rom ofcource..
Unless u are rooted you cannot install a good custom rom
Do a CF auto rooting using Odin
Reflash TWRP
Then Enjoy a new Custom rom
Go for DN 4 2.1 with mod v11 :good::good:
