ICS 4 Multitasking - Galaxy S I9000 Themes and Apps

Hi. I have flashed the Custom Rom Miui Joker V6 on my SGS. But the Multitasking is very bad. And a Mate is having ICS 4 on his Gakaxy Nexus. And i was wondering if I could flash other Multitaskings over cwm. And if i could flash the Ics 4 multitasking. So can i flaah the ICS 4 Multitasking ONLY! on another ROM?

You do know that the Galaxy Nexus have 1 gig of RAM and the SGS only the half? That's why multitasking on the SGS is worse. Also the system itselfs uses more RAM.
I think ICS have a completely different way of managing the RAM than older Android versions. You can't just mix different parts of different ROMs (like you can't add things from Windows Vista to Windows 95)

First - it works (ics multitasking on sgs: see ICS Ports)
BUT its only available with ICS - you can't mix your ROM with another framework

Okay. I dont know that. Thanks. But there are Custom Roms of Miui so majbe there will be a Ics custom rom from miui for sgs. Would be very nice. Thx

I think he means the looks of the multitasking menu.

You know, a big thing with miui is themes, but I don't find myself using them. The standard look is fine for me, just with diff wallpaper

The first gallery is the albums from I forget what phone. Want to say its the xperia. U can find the thread in the themes section here and download it and it works good on our phones. The other one is the stock touchwiz galary and the third one is the stock miui galary.

It depends what day it is. Seriously, I swap ROMs so often even I don't know for sure.
Enhanced 2.3.6 has been the best for stability etc but CM7 offers the next best stability with greater features - e.g. music controls on the lockscreen.
weekend : cm9
school days : enhaced 236
friday : sometimes cm7

[Q]good ics

I search a ICS rom with good battery good performance and no bugs can someone help me?

there is currently no free bugs ics rom....
EDIT: i search an ICS rom with Touch wiz 4or 3 and minimal - no bugs

AOKP M6 is quite good, it's the most stable 4.x out for Gio.
-Fast, lightweight (120MB free on internal after install)
-Every major function working stable
-Camera working including autofocus and camcorder (with 3rd party camcorder app)
-ROM is crash free with minfree set at least 50MB
-Battery lasts 1 day on heavy usage, 2 day on normal usage
I'm using it almost for a month, after trying at least 20 different GB and 3 other ICS/JB roms since July which all had serious bugs except Enhanced236.
The only problem is GTalk FC, but there are a lot other working 3rd party clients.
I'm using Erickas' CM9 for a week and I didn't change it yet, so it's kinda good rom.
Just once, my status bar disappeared but it came back in a minute.
I deleted some system apps that I don't use, so I freed up some space.
Ram usage is quite high, but hey, it's CM9 on our Gio.

I am using the latest Jellaxy build available. Very great work, almost free of bugs on most phones. Depending on how many apps used at the same time, sometimes a bit laggy but ready for everyday use, I think. Using it since a few months
Aokp m6 is really good but i search ics rom with touch wiz 4

Its used gaming for gaming for better graphic and performance
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda premium
From what I have experienced using it, is that it lowers down the graphic performance so that the game can run smoothly. Speed at the cost of high end graphics
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda premium
It is a GUI modification software, it is capable of lowering down graphic details so that a certain program can run in lower performance phones. But it does not support most games though, I tried, uninstalled. It can even reduce quality of your launcher if you wanted to. But then your phone will look bad.
all the previous posts are relatively correct but ill just tell you one thing
chainfire 3D DOESN'T SUPPORT ICS ROMS (ur currently on cm9 which is ics)
It works on MIUI (CM9 BASED). I've tried

the dev of the app was the one who said his app doesn't support ics or jb (it has no improvement when its installed and applied, no changes are done) so i guess if u can see any improvement using it on miui, u shall tell him

In a nutshell:
Gingerbread ROMs are known to have incomplete OpenGL ES support. 3D games *require* OpenGL ES. Chainfire 3D adds the necessary drivers to Gingerbread.

Thanks everyone for the BIG replies... Anyway I tried installing it on my CM9 ROM and it does work cos' i think i set everything to perfomance graphics and then when i reboot, EVERYTHING become distorted including the icons... Temple Run does work weirdly but it SO smooth using it... Now, due to my MASS flashing power, Im using MIUI and i will install Chainfire 3d

i've been using this app since my GB days with my wonder,,
and i can say that its working for me,,,
i've tried it with raiden legacy,, reduce to 16 bit,,, and now there's no white screen problem within the game compared to playing this one without chainfire3d
NICE! So in order to make gaming smoother, i have to reduce to 16 BIT? I tried with CM9 once and icons became distorted... :/ What configs do you use ?

mm...small addition, if I may. It's based on the preview version of CM10.2, not CM10.3, cause that hasn't been launched yet.
I am currently using AOIP 1.7 (yeah, I know I said 1.7, it's in testing). Why? Because it's awesome!!! Well, at least for me.

You've got literally a TON of JB ROMs in the Development section (up to Android 4.3, by the way) to confirm that yes, it can. And surprisingly enough they all run really well.

hey dud .....
well i find rootbox awesome ......... yeah although i like to deal with the eol roms but this one is great it makes you control your whole rom and i mean it the whole for me i guess
and in the end it is all up to you and your usage the GB is nice as you have been working with it for along time but you have forgot that the stock GB consumes alote of ram and it sucks when multitasking
so i prefer any custum rom you choose for your daily use thats all
sorry for my bad english
