Just curious if anyone has attempted to add a flash to th vogue? I noticed the other day when taking off the back cover the little circle mirror thing beside the camera lens easily pops out, so i decided to compare it to my titan and noticed that it appears that possible a l.e.d flash of some sort could perhaps fit in there.
anyone done this, and if so can u explain what is needed (software) and where to get the flash bulb that can be used. Thx
The hardware needed isn't there.

cant. cant. c. a. n. t. be done. there isnt space for the flash bulb, and then you would have to think about where you would place the connections for the bulb. this is just hardware aspects of it, software side would be 10x as hard
Always bring a flashlight ! SOLVED!
actually if you look next to the speaker there is an external antenna connect ion there right below where the little door that pops out is... simply put it can't be done
You wanna keep that there for self portraits. Oddly enough after a year of having the phone i figured out that u use that mirror to center yourself or yourself and a friend when you can't see the screen.....
i found a website for the international version anyone know where i can find the oem back.

i wanna set up wireless charging but i dont really wanna cut a whole in the case just incase something happened to my phone dont want them saying something about the whole in the back. thanks.
While I was taking the case off my Droid X, the physical camera button popped off.
Is there anywhere that I might be able to get a new one? The phone is no longer under warranty, and isn't even activated.
I'm not interested in suggestions to upgrade, or methods to get Verizon to replace the phone (unless such methods work with no warranty or package, in which case please share them.)
If anyone has had any luck with making a DIY camera button that works well, please feel free to share!
The spot where the camera button used to be still works, I can still activate it with a toothpick, both stages:

Yes, I know I can use the touchscreen to take pictures. I'd still like the physical button...
Anyone tried doing it themselves or request support services to do it yet?
Cheers
i can confirm that with patience it is indeed doable, i took mine apart last night thinking the battery was bloated and causing pressure ripples on my screen (too bad it wasnt the cause), you just have to follow the guide on ifixit or find one on youtube, taking the metal back apart was the harder part as i didnt have the necessary tools,

You were able to glue it back together?
I also wanted to know how much it would cost to make support services do it. Anyone?

Definitely doable. I did this not too long ago. Replaced the battery, Main camera, and microusb/headphone jack.
If you have the money to get someone official to do it, do it that way. I ended up unknowingly breaking my GPS (tiny copper piece that touches the case broke off) and the compass (i think this is related to that, if anyone has an idea let me know) and my nfc doesnt turn on (i have no idea about this, everything is plugged in as far as i know. agin if anyone could help lol)
A few months ago i changed my vibration motor. For this change i have to dismantle the whole phone because the Motor sits behind the Mainboard. When the Mainboard was out of the phone, i checked if my battery was bloated or so. But it looks good and so i didn't change it. After reassemble the phone everything works as it should.
So changing the battery is definetly doable, but you need the proper tools, a video guide, time and a calm hand.

So I noticed my tablet wasn't really turning on when I pushed the power button. I took it apart, cleaned the contact points following a post I found on here, then the small metal connector flew off due to me loosing grip of the "tape" holding it on. I ordered a replacement part and I noticed there isn't a lot of info on how to change it, take it out, precautions to take or anything. My tablet is running the newest OS of android for the nexus 7, and is turned on. I would post a picture, but apparently I need to make 10 posts before I can do that...
My question (s) are:
1: Should I take out the battery to do this? I've seen a guy on youtube do that, and I don't know if that is a step I need to take.
2: How exactly does it come out? I've only seen one video of a guy taking it out and putting it back in. I couldn't see much due to the fact that where it connects is small. I want to make sure I don't break anything else.
and 3: I've heard people say that you need a "spludger" for this or something, I don't know what that is, but then again, I also heard someone else say you can use a toothpic to do the same thing. Is that safe?
Thanks for taking your time to read this, and I hope someone out there can help me out. I really just want to get the thing to turn back on with out me needing to plug it into the charger, or move the "power to the volume button" ect.
Any advice at all would be helpful.
I'm not sure what you worry about, it's an easy component to deal with.
Don't remove the battery, just disconnect its black plug.

I just never really tinkerd with something like this. I know it looks easy, but I never opened a zif seal or w/e its called. What exactly do I flip up?
I'm sorry for my "Noob" questions, I'm normally good with hardware stuff, but I want to just make sure I do this right.

No worries :good:
See the black flap?
Flip it up, slide out/in the connecting ribbon and flip it down to secure the connection.
