anyone got an idea whats going on? thanks for the effort!

If it wouldn't have signal it'd be red.
Don't know why it's black for you, maybe a bug. Try to update your phone

I've got the same, have no problems at all with calls or something else.

that's the thing, ive got no probs either, my batterylife is just amazing.. i left it over night and it drained 7% in standby it sucks as you can see.. but during the day i had music on for 7 hours and almost 3 hours of screenon time(~30 mins browsing & xda & facebook) + 2h30 of HD gaming.. but the phone lags .. the UI i mean no games or else.. :S and i think thats due to it searching for networks..

Ok , you can try to set the networkoperator manualy and not set to auto.

25 hours screen on with 7% brightness for reading

I'm using 155-2 cee stock rom.
This rom suits me for best battery life.
Normal 2g mobile standby is 2.4 hours per 1%.
setvsel 18-300 40-800 50-1000
And some system app deleted like most did.
(dlna,phone portal,media share kept)

The reading app is moon+ reader,
(205 232 207)RGB background with pure black font
7% screen brightness
no page flip effect
still with mobile standby(that's 10% battery drain,5% if using flight mode)
Reading time is about 8 hours, other time is just screen on.
This brightness with the color background is nice for bedtime reading even in thedaily time in the room ,not at window or with several lights above.
You can have a try.

I can't see those pics: "You don't have permission to access the requested object."
Honestly I don't know how much those figures will suit people that use their phone for anything else than just reading... Someone will call you during those 25 hours...
Where did you find the circle battery indicator in the status bar? I'd like to install this style in CM7.1, it is nicer and cleaner than the 2 stock ones (stock for CM7.1, I mean)

What does the dec 7 update (2.3.6) bring?

Starting this thread because I have seen a couple things in the 2.3.6 version and they aren't mentioned anywhere I can locate, here on xda or otgerwise. Below is a pic of what I was updated with, stock here... the numbers differ from what Is listed on sprint.com

I never really had los problems so the only two things I have noticed are:
1. While scrolling (vertical) menus when you reach the end, instead of the screen "stretching" into black space, a graduated blue hue will rise from bottom or top of menu being scrolled.
2. A- Upon touching the lockscreen it sort of "hops" about 1/4" off the left side and a few mm from the bottom. As sort of a headstart?
2.b- on touching lockscreen it displays four small arrows. Obe each on sides, top and botton. N, s, e, w.
Any other new features you have noticed? Is there a list on the web that can be posted here please?
Thanks all.

The home screen page dots are no longer numbered.
From digging in SystemUI.apk, I think the fully charged audio notification is gone. The screen on and notification bar icon are still there.

I know... I just couldn't resist... 2.3.6 is an update that fixes some stuff that the user probably doesn't see... It's bigger... better than we could build it before (Anyone here know where that comes from?)

[Q] Wifi tethering speed

I have this phone rooted, but still am using stock. I have the 10 gig plan from tmobile so I have free wifi tethering. My question is..
My speed seems slower than on my phone when I wifi tether. is this because I'm using stock? And if I put another rom on, will it give me better speeds when I tether? I'm just curious..
Thanks in advance.
what are you tethering too? a laptop? there might be a app to change the settings to open the bandwidth with i suppose...i use a wifi router at home and use the 5ghz..and opened the settings to push and open more bandwidth..maybe theres a app regarding better then stock settings?.

That does show an increase, but it doesn't multiply my speed by 5. It just doubles it. I really want to get as close to the speed I get directly on my phone. Would flashing another Rom help? or any other wifi app?
so far i haev tried everything and this is the best results that i have gotten .

Anyone have clock issues?

I feel like this isn't a ROM specific issue, but rather possibly a network one. Off and on early this morning and until now, my phone has had problems reporting the time, the time it reports is wrong, 4 hours ahead. For example i sent a text at 11:16am and my phone reported it sent at 3:16pm, then the very next text i sent to the same person had the right time, 11:22am. This made the earlier text come up as more recent. It started off as just noticeable in text messages, because my status bar clock still was correct. Then next thing i know, the status bar clock also jumped ahead four hours ahead. I restarted the phone, and also unchecked and rechecked automatic network time set in settings and all was right, but every once in a while the problem recurs. Anyone else experiencing clock issues? Any tips?

Its just a glitch in the matrix, take the blue pill and go back to sleep no seriously its most likely a network issue due to tower/network upgrades or maintenance in your area.

Follow the white rabbit.
Happened to me as soon as I booted a new rom update last night Clock was way off. Thought it was a bug. I set it manually then back to carrier time and all was well.

Happens to me last night. It's not the first time and I can assure you that is a network issue.

[Q] Yet Another Battery Problem

I've waited a long time to make a post about this, but my battery goes a bit to far lately.

I mean, come on, 3 hours and 37 minutes? I tried a lot. Stock rom, factory reset, wake locks.
I did find some suspicious wake lock 'HS MGR', but no one on the internetzz seems te know what it is or how to get rid of it.
Well. You think it's a hardware problem or is there anyone out there who's able to help me?
Thanks!
My HTC One X battery also sucks a lot. Well, this phone isn't a flagship anymore. And from the beginning everyone noticed that the battery on the One X is terrible. I am also on stock and when I don't really use my phone a day, still more than half of the juice disappears. Don't think the apps caused it, I don't really have any.

I dont know if its a battery problem or anything else, but what I suggest you is..
Root yours(if you havent) and install "setCPU"
and create profiles such as
Screen Off >> 340Mhz Max
Battery Less than 30% >> 340Mhz Max
Default Value >> 850 Mhz Max(On the default welcome screen)
You'll see the difference Im talking about.I get saved by this a large time!
Hope it helps
