Hey there,
I've waited a long time to make a post about this, but my battery goes a bit to far lately.

I mean, come on, 3 hours and 37 minutes? I tried a lot. Stock rom, factory reset, wake locks.
I did find some suspicious wake lock 'HS MGR', but no one on the internetzz seems te know what it is or how to get rid of it.
Well. You think it's a hardware problem or is there anyone out there who's able to help me?
Thanks!
My HTC One X battery also sucks a lot. Well, this phone isn't a flagship anymore. And from the beginning everyone noticed that the battery on the One X is terrible. I am also on stock and when I don't really use my phone a day, still more than half of the juice disappears. Don't think the apps caused it, I don't really have any.

I dont know if its a battery problem or anything else, but what I suggest you is..
Root yours(if you havent) and install "setCPU"
and create profiles such as
Screen Off >> 340Mhz Max
Battery Less than 30% >> 340Mhz Max
Default Value >> 850 Mhz Max(On the default welcome screen)
You'll see the difference Im talking about.I get saved by this a large time!
Hope it helps

I'm hoping someone can help please. I put Leedroid 2.4 on my phone and it's been flawless for a couple of days, apart from this morning it looks at if it randomly rebooted.
I haven't switched it off since sometime yesterday but System Monitor shows a boot time of 4:13 this morning. I was asleep and the phone was on the side unplugged.

Also my battery history goes a bit funny just after this time and the useage went up loads from it's usual 1 or 2ma when sleeping.
and voltage - the big drop at the end is when my alarm went off and I started using the phone
I've no idea how I'd start to find out what caused it to do it, can anyone help please? It obviously didn't do a full reboot as it didn't ask for my PIN unlock code this morning.
Cheers
It's done it again this morning at 3:30. Useage at -1ma for ages then after this time up to between -22 and -25.
Any ideas?
I've checked through everything in "SystemPanel" and nothing seems to be using the processor at any time.
Hi,
Sorry I could not help you out about your issue but will be happy if you can tell me the apps you use for monitoring your phone? Is it all from the "System Monitor" app you mention?
The top pic is SystemPanel which I think cost me a pound or two a while ago and the bottom is Battery Monitor Widget, which is free.

Thanks a lot. I hope your issue will be solved! Or maybe perform a full wipe and see if the problem persists?

Cheers, me too. It's not a major issue but it's one that could catch me out if it does it when my battery is low.
hi ! guys today i will share trick to decrease lock screen lag to 80% which is 8 out of 10 tries (not bad ) on default lock screen it is around 40% ~~~
ALL tools are free
STEPS :-
1) download GO Locker from market
2) then download GO Locker Simple RightTheme from market or any locker theme which is less then 600 KB
3) that's it ! now you will get less lock screen lags :victory:
thing to remember ;-
-THIS NOT 100% fix
- don't not change lock screen wallpaper (by changing lock screen wallpaper you will get around 60%)

Thank you, I'll try it now, I had this problem before and the new launcher from sgs III solved it
What a great development. Appreciate your hard work mate. Truly a difficult work.

Nice, will test this out!
Does it work for anyone?
Wake up lag is the exynos chip waiting for the modem to wake up. Changing your lockscreen will not help dude, unless it prevents your phone from going to sleep, which will decimate your battery life.

It doesn't seem to matter how many times people repeat this over and over. Myself included.
I have given up repeating myself and explaining to people that it's the exynos blah blah it can't be fixed without wakeblah blah. Its a loosing battle. Just let them believe whatever they want to beleive, if it seems to make them happy.

I installed Wakelock detector to find out why my battery drains so fast and this is shown.

Not sure what that wakelock is, but what are you complaining about? You have 11+ hours up time with 20 percent battery life. That's pretty spot on for a gnex.
I get the same thing whenever I listen to music. It's related to playing music through your headphone jack. I would assume it is involved with notification sounds as well.
Ppl say that wakelock is caused by keyboard sounds ... So basically what you'd have to do is, turn off all vibrations for keybards, same as sounds ...
The problem is, I have all of that off and I still get that wakelock ...
I never used this app. What does Betterbattery stats say?

I have installed MIUI and it has keyboard sounds and vibration on and I don't have it there. I even reinstalled all my apps(with the APK Batch Installer) and still no problem anymore. However now I'm getting wakelock by Google Drive(but I'll disable autosync).
Mine is commotio-B47/AK Kernel, and i get this now.Only surfing through wifi, low brightness near 0%,no game, zram off,and other trickstermod settings are just like yours.
Sounds unconvincing huh?
But yesterday, normally use(half game, half wifi) can also hit 3.5 hours so i think the rom is a good choice.
It is a pity that the rom only supports English, then many stuffs are strange for me in default settings(for example, google news widget only shows news of US and i dont know how to set).
And i heard that 3rd-party battery without NFC support (most of them are 2150mah)can improve battery performance sufficiently.but i dont have one.
hope u can understand my poor English.

My Galaxy S III battery drains very fast, sometimes as much as 10% in 30 minutes (running 4.4.2). The battery is fine (I did the spin test), so I'm pretty sure it's a CPU-related issue, especially since the battery temperature is always around 110 deg F. The Android System process uses up more battery percent than my screen, so I did a full reset, ran DU Battery Saver, disabled LTE/sync/wifi, and uninstalled over 100 bloaty system apps through rooting. Still, even with a fresh install and all the other adjustments, the Android System is sucking down the battery juice like it was before.
I've been doing tons of research on this issue and haven't been able to find a solution. When going into the show CPU usage through developer options, the top line (with all the numbers) is often showing a long red line (even after doing a full reset on the phone).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Not CPU related. It's an app hats continuously running in the background. Try Wakelock Detector to find the culprit.

According to Wakelock Detector, here's the top culprits from the kernel wakelock menu (after ~5 hours):
PowerManagerService.Display (~43 min, x53)
main (~43 min, x53)
PowerManagerService.WakeLocks (~26 min, x1428)
bam_dmux_wakelock (~20 min, x797)
Thanks for your help so far. Where do I go from here?
Hey! I am back again.....looks like I have a lot problems......anyway,
I have a Massive battery prob....
So I brought my device badk to firmware after a lot of abusing of my device......but then, this happened (i changed to a different rom to stop the same battery problem but it wasnt any good) its not wakelock, like when the device is locked, no battery is wasted but when the screen is turned on and i do light activities like google translate, youtube, it drains SUPER FAST! Like for watching a 10 min video on youtube, it took away 3% of battery! I have also enabled power saving, have kind of a decent brightness and the wifi sleep thingybis set to never keep on. So I really need help with that.

Hmm, i guess you have checket others battery drain apps etc, i dont use facebook and messenger on mine..
You can try a full reset on it sometimes that helps. (Iknow it sucks to set it up again)
