I feel like this isn't a ROM specific issue, but rather possibly a network one. Off and on early this morning and until now, my phone has had problems reporting the time, the time it reports is wrong, 4 hours ahead. For example i sent a text at 11:16am and my phone reported it sent at 3:16pm, then the very next text i sent to the same person had the right time, 11:22am. This made the earlier text come up as more recent. It started off as just noticeable in text messages, because my status bar clock still was correct. Then next thing i know, the status bar clock also jumped ahead four hours ahead. I restarted the phone, and also unchecked and rechecked automatic network time set in settings and all was right, but every once in a while the problem recurs. Anyone else experiencing clock issues? Any tips?

Its just a glitch in the matrix, take the blue pill and go back to sleep no seriously its most likely a network issue due to tower/network upgrades or maintenance in your area.

Happened to me as soon as I booted a new rom update last night Clock was way off. Thought it was a bug. I set it manually then back to carrier time and all was well.

Happens to me last night. It's not the first time and I can assure you that is a network issue.

Starting this thread because I have seen a couple things in the 2.3.6 version and they aren't mentioned anywhere I can locate, here on xda or otgerwise. Below is a pic of what I was updated with, stock here... the numbers differ from what Is listed on sprint.com

I never really had los problems so the only two things I have noticed are:
1. While scrolling (vertical) menus when you reach the end, instead of the screen "stretching" into black space, a graduated blue hue will rise from bottom or top of menu being scrolled.
2. A- Upon touching the lockscreen it sort of "hops" about 1/4" off the left side and a few mm from the bottom. As sort of a headstart?
2.b- on touching lockscreen it displays four small arrows. Obe each on sides, top and botton. N, s, e, w.
Any other new features you have noticed? Is there a list on the web that can be posted here please?
Thanks all.

From digging in SystemUI.apk, I think the fully charged audio notification is gone. The screen on and notification bar icon are still there.

I know... I just couldn't resist... 2.3.6 is an update that fixes some stuff that the user probably doesn't see... It's bigger... better than we could build it before (Anyone here know where that comes from?)
Hello, I've got a weird error that I don't even know how to begin tracking down. Not sure if this is an ICS issue, an app issue, or a device (hardware) issue.
Several times now, I get a problem were, after a reboot, all the text on my home screen - names for apps and text within widgets is mangled somehow. Like pixels inverted, or boxed over, etc. (see screenshot)

The first couple of times this happened, a single reboot made it go away. However with my latest occurrence, I've rebooted several times without a fix.
EDIT: It seems like my data connection may also require examination? Since on the 3rd or 4th reboot I was in my office with a solid WiFi connection (versus previous reboots I was in my car en-route), the problem has now gone away again.
My initial reboot this morning was as a quick-fix attempt at an absent data connection. Guess I'm off to research these "radios" everyone keeps on about...
EDIT 2: Ok, perhaps ignore the above. After a reboot made this go away, it has now come back spontaneously (i.e. just noticed it sitting in the cradle with the error again - no reboot this time.) CRUUUUD.
Are you using a custom Kernel? Some 'Overclock' the GPU to 512MHz, while Stock is 384MHz. Some devices can't handle the increase and cause screen artifacts. Post your Kernel details and I'm sure someone will point you in the direction of another Kernel if this is the case.
Not that I know of - should be all stock, since I haven't rooted or unlocked anything yet (just got the phone a couple of weeks ago).
Thanks for the help.
Stock launcher? Or using nova/apex etc?

Hi,
Another thread...:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646985
Nothing related to GPU overclock...just about this possibility...
Looking in different threads in Q&A/General.
If you are using the stock launcher...I think I saw a topic with this weird issue with the stock launcher...but I can not find it anymore
In any case clear data/cache of your current launcher, reboot and see...If you're on another launcher than stock,reinstall...
I speak only for the launcher issue.
Yep, stock launcher. Thanks for the other thread.
Seems to be at bay now. Will keep an eye on it.
So I had full bars prior to rooting. No matter what ROM or where I am, I only have 1-2 bars. Sometimes 3 depending on where I am.
I checked the store model and it's full bars. Store's is running LG2. I just updated mine to the second which was LF9 from LEN thinking it would fix something. Took it to LG2 and same.
Anyone else experiencing this? Not really an issue, just a visual comfort.
Bars don't really mean anything. Run speedtest and see if they have changed. You can't always just go by how many bars you have.

Calls cut in and out constantly. It was never like that before. That's what I am going on. I call the bars Visual Comfort, since it makes you feel warm inside.
The other thing, I work at a store. The store model is solid and full. Mines 1 corner bar. Big difference. I only started to question it after my calls became unstable.
Huge difference.

It was in the E4GT theme and apps section.
It's just the transparent widget file. I can try to find it for you in a bit.

If it's not I can pull it from my phone and upload it later today.
I've been using my One X for several weeks now (I think the hboot date is around early June so it's not one of the early batches) and so far didn't have any problem except for the following:
Twice, first a few weeks ago and the second time last night I saw some "artifacts". I'm not quite sure but I think different parts of the screen were affected each time. What happens is that everything is shown how it's supposed to be except for a 30%-40% area which looks a little like a computer screen right after a software/driver crash can look like. Without doing anything, it disappeared each time after less than a second.
I wasn't able to take a screenshot but the following photo shows how it roughly looked like. In my case, there were only lines and cubes in black, white and bright green instead of the more "fuzzy" parts shown in the photo.

Is this a driver issue? A lose connection? A display fault? I was close to unlocking my phone but with this having happened twice so far I wonder whether I should wait a little longer...
PS: It's probably unrelated, but like a minute later I encountered some "keypad ghosting" via swiftkey, i.e. I was pressing some keys on the keyboard and it was inserting several different ones each time. I do suppose that it's a software glitch, though, as I tried the stock keyboard another minute later and this worked fine.
If you can still swap your device with your retailer I would do that, just to be on the save side...
did u update to latest already?
if yes,
was it there before u updated..??
it doesn't look like a hardware issue

No, everything was where it was supposed to be and the artifacts faded away after probably less than a second.
I still have the latest stock Rom, haven't updated yet. I do think it's been more of a software glitch but I couldn't find information on here or anywhere else which would state a similar problem. Which is good?

I had a weird thing happen with my signal today. It kept going out, and data just wouldn't work! Although the 3G icon was there nothing would download. Here is a pic of the connection status! Look at the mobile network type!

i had this happen to me for like two weeks on and off. After a while it would do this to me while the bars were blue! I tried toggling my data on and off, toggling airplane on and off, rebooting and even calling sprint to have them restart my data. This even followed me from rom to rom. The only way I got rid of it was to download the complete FH05 jellybean tar and odin back to stock jelly bean. I tried to odin to FD02 and except the ota but it followed me there too. Its wierd, and it started after I flashed a certain rom(wont name it cuz i cant be sure it had anything to do with it) and then the rom gave me some probs I wiped and restored my nandroid of cm10 I had before I flashed the mystery rom and thats when it started. And cm10 was working awesome for like three weeks before the mystery rom flash. I mean problems dont just pop up, theyre either there or theyre not.
Well I ended up calling Sprint today to find out what the problem was and they told me it was due to some tower being worked on! Maybe it has to do with the LTE?
I've had that happen to me a couple of times. Mainly its when I had it set to run on GSM/Edge/LTE/HSPA+ mode.
Its just due to the way your phone finds the best tower. It shouldn't hurt your phone, or affect your data in any way. Just switch your roaming profile to home only. It should fix it.
And to the Photoshop guy...
Are you that stupid? Seriously, use your mind. It doesn't look photoshopped. Even if it was, it would be a decent work.
